Btw: Just out of interest these 3xXP missions you get when buying a bundle, can you turn them on and off as you like for specfic ships etc.?

Premium CVs have to be "special" & "gimmicky" and in case of TVIII have preferential TX matchmaking so they are useless 70% of the games.

That means roughly 12 hours over a weekend, provided you have already TVII / TVIII at least, I consider that quite a lot for the average player.

The huge difference will be that this improved Nikolai will enjoy the improved fun & engaging(tm) WG matchmaking of fighting Hood & Gneisenau 70% of the time.

Because we don't have enough premium BB potatoes in the game right now. That is really what the game needs right now.

But what I don't get is why they put these in at all. I reckon players may have four possible reactions to this: a) Don't bother because its not achievable in three days. b) Get mad because of ridiculous requirements. c) Ignore it because don't care about missions. d) Be mad at WG and grind it anyway just to spite WG (about 0.1% of the player base, me included). None of these is helpful to WG at all. So why bother?

Problem is, when you can't get near them to fire your torpedoes because of radar and your torps are spotted early because of sonar, then not much you can do to exploit that ruddershift "nerf". Yes I know that BBs don't have both but it is easy to imagine RN & German BBs staying closely together.

It is because WG markets this as a "battleship" game, so obviously they need to keep the BB babies happy. The rest of the ships are just cannon fodder for the BB masses.

You won't believe but I got this useless defensive fire upgrade again. Two times in a row. How fun and engaging ist that? Ok, now that they are changing the slots, I might be able to use it but still, rather would have received engine boost.

When I am playing my Enterprise, I am always hoping I get many Tirpitz and Bismarck enemies. One shotting unsuspecting Tirpitz ... priceless

Ok if you want the game completely broken, then [edited]the IJN DDs with the Radar and buff AA. Then you only have BBs left.

I really like the Enterprise but I am afraid the Tirpitz and Bismarck captains will whine until her AP bombs get nerfed and then there is nothing special about her.

Ok thanks guys for the update. Anyway, maybe I derailed the thread in the wrong direction, the problem will probably be not so much the balancing but the sheer numbers. Its going to be ugly on release date.

Ok I am brushing up my CVs lately anyway. Maybe that might be away to profit from impending BB wave. If the standard game is then 6 BBs and 1-2 CVs in mid tier, we may have a problem though.
