It does not worth investing into tech tree ships

I feel like you do not understand what a Ponzi scheme is. -
CV detecting my DD is painful, yes, but there's differing levels of how painful it'll likely be. Something like Enterprise or Lexington are going to be incredibly painful, just because they will for certain get out the rocket fighter and actually hunt you down. They'll actively search for your DD and wreck it, because it is cost effective in terms of planes lost and time invested. New German CVs meanwhile will very likely spot you most often just by accident. Very few will loiter around, some might drop a fighter that the Akizuki can shoot down by itself quite fast. Mostly, because the new German CVs have the choice of either attacking a non-DD or to waste time attacking the DD with crappy armament/idling completely. Most CV players will opt to just not bother with DD much and instead maximise the damage to cruisers to make up for the loss in impact. Sucks for cruisers, but as a DD, it'll mean, if you avoid being close to where planes likely go for their attack on cruisers or BBs, you are fine.

Honestly, if I see a MvR in a DD, I'm just glad it isn't any other T10 CV. Even Audacious is more worrying, because MvR has no anti-DD armament except torps and secs. Torps are anti-DD in that they aren't utter garbage, but you could say same about any other CV torp at T10 (be it the 6 torp drop for saturation on Midway, the fast and hard torps of Haku or the converging drop with short arming distance of Audacious) and secondaries just means you don't go close.

I felt kinda bad yesterday when I entered a game in my new Shikishima and saw a Yamato, Shikishima and Slava on the enemy team, latter two played by purple clan members. Really made me reluctant about the first few minutes till at least Slava got spotted and I knew where to look out for cits from 20 km away.

It does not worth investing into tech tree ships

for you. I enjoyed my time in Zara very much. More than Amalfi, which just felt like faster Zara but now a tier higher. Still good ship, but Zara was more fun. Showing that fun is a subjective experience. Being fun or not has no bearing on balance. -
Killing Venezia? Are you serious?

It doesn't take 9 months, unless you start very late or procrastinate like hell. I play not too much and the only reason I reach T10 late on most ships is because I don't care about most T10s and just grind like 3 lines at the same time to T8 or T9. And yes, people are still grinding it, just like some people still work on getting Yamato. -

Zara has barely less dpm than the Amalfi and similar armour. It turns tighter than a Shiratsuyu. It also has great ballistics on its guns. Being only 32 knots keeps it balanced at T7. -
Kinda, yes.

Italian cruisers work with single rudder or double rudder, double rudder just capitalises on the line having no incentive to be close and a silly smoke to bail if things go south. And with double rudder, you have like 0.2-0.3s longer till your rudder goes from neutral to hard over. If this is what kills a cruiser, then it shouldn't have been good in the first place, yet Venezia is one of the overperforming ships. If you think so. As said before, I won't mind. If this is what it takes to make Venezia unattractive, then the whole thing was wasted on these people anyway. Pretty sure that Venezia will stay pretty powerful. Italian cruisers got introduced last autumn. It's summer now. "Few months" is a stretch... -

Most recent would be Ognevoi getting defAA and losing a charge of smoke and speed boost in exchange. -

The SAP ricochet angle nerf brings the SAP in line with all other SAP. Given how it already is workable enough on preceeding ships, it's not like Venezia will be worse, it'll just make it less silly when it pens almost perfectly angled ships. The rudder nerf is basically half a second from neutral to hard over. Given how Italian rudder never was great to begin with, but the turning circle is, this reinforces the playstyle of starting turns timely to dodge. Reload nerf is half a second ontop of 20s. If you can wait 20s, you can wait 20.5s. This isn't some Hindenburg-level or YY-level reload nerf that actually makes meaningful differences. But hey, if people think everything before Venezia is crap and only Venezia is good, I'm not sad if such people drop the line. It's wasted on them anyway. -
Grind so far is reasonable, event overall seems reasonable. Greatest issue I have is the 90% discount measured from inflated 35k doubloon price tag. If they'd just drop that line, pretty much perfectly happy.

to hit and cit. Very fun getting like 2 overpens for a staggering 1.16k. -

They might know better things to do with their time than start a lawsuit over something that WG might actually be allowed to do. The main reason premium nerfs per se are so rare is because it might erode the trust of customers. -
ST 0.9.5.1, Changes to test ships

Odin is a nimbler hull than a FdG. And speed boost is not bad as a consumable either, even for just avoiding torps. -

Also better firing angles. -
Yoshino can also just shut down Moskva, Petro, Stalin and other RU bias given it has over 50 mm HE pen and if it catches broadside can farm cits. Also, 310 mm shits on Smolensk. Moskva isn't the only cruiser that can shoot at ships smaller than a BB.
-
Worse reload, worse range though.
-
GZ AP bombers were crap when their bomb damage was 7k max, now it's even worse.
-
It's 25% across all tiers. T8+ get 1/5 pen though, the lower tiers don't. It's to protect the 38 mm special deck of USN BBs.
-
IFHE is 25%, not 30%.

Shikishima HE alpha damage
HaachamaShipping replied to Isoruku_Yamamoto's topic in General Discussion
Honestly, the only thing BB HE needs is a rebalance so HE either has good alpha or good fire chance, like it was when the IJn and USN BBs got introduced and just not both. Getting HE damage higher and reducing fire chance to 0 basically means BB HE is less of an issue to ships that burn a lot, like BBs and much more of any class that just gets nuked by the alpha. I know people who are almost as afraid of something like Thunderer as they are about Venezia in a DD, because who doesn't want to get spotted and absolutely demolished by huge non-overpenning alpha strikes in the ~20k hp non-repairable ship? -
Bet that Leone was real fun, right?

It looks nice, doesn't mean it's actually a thing though. Groupings even from the same turret can be all over the place. I know it's not sarcasm, given you already claimed it years ago, when the Richelieu had the exact same dispersion as Bismarck. And it was kind of silly back then, even more so now after the buff to German BB accuracy. French 38 cm vs German 38 cm is not "cruiser killer". It kills cruisers the way that any BB caliber shell potentially kills cruisers, but it has actually nothing special going for it. It's shell speed is good, but not much better than German and at times a liability. It's pen is good, but not like any T8 38 cm BB at any range struggles to pen cruiser belt, even Monarch and Vanguard do just fine. It has no overmatch advantage over the others, the accuracy is poorest, so don't even hit more shells. French 38 cm has two things that can be called good: high pen, allowing penning BBs very consistently at any range (if hit) and high fire chance at 36%, which is the best per shell fire chance among the shells of this caliber (Richelieu having poorest shell output makes it not a prime HE spammer though). Together with high mobility, Richelieu and Alsace can get to flanking positions more easily to overcome the caliber woes, but that's really about it. And even then, its pen is more useful vs BBs than cruisers. As you can see in quoted post above, you said absolutely nothing about quad turrets or German buffs, so, no.
