    IFHE for RN heavy cruisers?

Yeah, but with IFHE, really don't see the point. Goliath has some of the lowest dpm of any T10 cruiser, as well as poor base range. Goliath as a dedicated Kremlin killer makes less sense, imo, than using any of the other options, like IFHE Hindenburg and IFHE Yoshino. Hindenburg gives better range and much better dpm, Yoshino gives comparable dpm on a much better range or better dpm on better range if Goliath uses range mod. Yoshino vs Kremlin also is, imo, tankier, has 20 km torp wall and way bigger AP threat. I doubt I'd run any of them just to counter Kremlin, but even for meme Kremlin counters, Goliath would not be my top pick.

    IFHE for RN heavy cruisers?

Not sure if you'd really want IFHE Goliath in CB over any of the other options really.

When you think Cheshire couldn't become any worse in damage output...

    IFHE for RN heavy cruisers?

Definitely no. You will never meet enough ships to warrant it. It is pretty safe to ignore HE cits as a desired outcome, because anything you can HE citpen is so crappily armoured your AP will likely suffice. Especially Smolensk that gets overmatched. As for beating BBs, even if you run into all the Kremlins, the loss in fire chance is just too brutal. These ships have poor dpm. They supplement it with their high fire chance per shell. If you have poor dpm and poor fire chance, why are you playing this? And against anything not a Kremlin or Soyuz, the pen is wasted. Even a Hindenburg gets more from IFHE, being also able to add Yamato and sisters to the list of ships it can pen.

Just look at the state of the game. And we just had weekend. If we get a good Peko laugh everytime we get a cit, sure.

Roon is calm... until you start shooting things.
  7. As someone with an Enterprise and someone who played DD in Ranked and had to survive against Enterprise, Lexington and other such, yeah, it's basically the great "counterplay". Frankly, as the CV player: Try to attack DDs while they are preoccupied with other things. Basically like the German CVs, attack the DD when it already is being engaged. I had very fun experiences trying to dodge Cleveland and trying to angle against CV rockets at the same time. Together with that, spotting: You spot DD next to your allies, they likely will shoot it. This might already be a great thing to get it killed. Lastly, is the DD this important at the moment? If the DD is hiding somewhere with noone around, unless he's capping something important or coming after you, just go kill off a target of greater importance. Also, you can imagine how fun it is loading into a match vs Lexington and having to guess what rocket loadout they carry, just to then get f***ed when guessing wrong. Thankfully that gets changed...

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Only 2 BB per team. Also got nothing done. In the end I tried to go yolo the BBs with torps, but well... it ended. Sad.

    Ban enterprise from ranks

Flak deals same damage regardless of what zone. Zones A and B indicate spreads of flak clouds that are generated, with the AA AI spawning flak in Zone A first and once Zone A has reached the max number of flak allowed there (6), it will spawn the other flak clouds somewhere in Zone B. Obviously that means someone who just runs straight through Zone A likely eats multiple flak clouds, while in Zone B they most likely eat fewer or only on the fringes of a wing. With defAA, any plane in any zone will however eat so much damage, it'll just die if it ever gets hit, AA spec or not, Zone A or Zone B, doesn't matter. Even some crappy 1.4k damage flak cloud from a T8 105 mm AA gun with defAA on has enough damage to kill any plane in the game and if one plane flies through the cloud one dies and if six fly through the cloud, six die. Regarding dps killing planes from flak, yes, but that requires enemy to actually hit a flak cloud and for them to do that before they are so close it doesn't matter. If they just eat a flak and then begin the attack already, the mitigation from being in an attack animation and the pretty crap dps most ships put out mean that you'll likely kill very few of the aircraft before they drop their payload and get away. And people like El2aZeR basically most of the time don't eat flak at all, or only at times where the damage really doesn't matter. And AA skills don't do crap here, because they are expensive as hell for minimal addition in dosage. If AA skills added meaningful amounts of dps, then sure, but they don't. This is like arguing whether SE should be on BBs. Is there a benefit to it? Sure. Is it game-changing? No (except for the worse due to opportunity cost). Is it worth the opportunity cost? No.

    German Aicraft carrier X

They are like this, because they are on Ta152s. They had higher damage in testing and were pretty stupid, because of the high plane speed (with engine boost also being percentage based, so planes going like 260 knots on boost), GZ could just devastate ships with torps fast, as it takes no time to come back. They still are the fastest torp bombers and thus can be cycled fast for repeated attacks, their drawback being that the GZ can overstretch the torp bombers that way though, so you run out of them. It's good though when you have to rely on them, but you should use the other bombers when you can to give the torp bombers some room to recover.

    Richelieu - I just can't...

Richelieu's armour isn't exactly bad. It's an all-or-nothing scheme and thus is poor vs cruiser HE, but it still has a good bit of armour over the vitals, with French likely being the second hardest to consistently citadel after the Germans. This means that when a Richelieu (or any of the French really) pull some stunt, they have more room to work with without getting punished instantly and crushingly as you'd see with other BBs (like messing up with a Vladivostok can quickly end you, due to the large citadel). Speed on these BBs is useful for multiple occasions, which mostly are: Repositioning, when you need to get somewhere fast, like after your flank ran out of enemies or is about to get overrun, speed gets you to a better location faster. Improved Maneuverability, when you are being attacked by a DD or other torp threat, being able to speed up or slow down quicker or being able to just throw off the aimed torps by exceeding the speed you had when they were launched can be vital. Flank Exploitation, when you see an opportunity for flanking opponents, speed gets you there quicker, be it for wide pushes around or even just rounding an island faster to the surprise of enemies that did not expect it. Richelieu, like most of the French high tier BBs, has basically the characteristics of an opportunist flanker. Not a lot of staying power so poor at camping a spot, but they have trolly armour that can give them a means to escape tricky situations and speed to exploit weak positioning or setting up a better position. Also guns that have fast high pen shells, so even if not accurate, they are a considerable threat at most ranges.

    German Aicraft carrier X

GZ has the best German CV torps in terms of damage, because tech line CVs have low damage but fast torpedos, GZ has pretty standard speed on the torps.
  14. Ehhh, in the Western World Anime is generally considered for children, not necessarily all animated stuff. It's just the stuff that comes from Asia that people often think is not for adults unlike western animation, which gave us things like the Simpsons, Family Guy, the Flintstones, Rick and Morty, Archer, etc. which are typically aimed either also or primarily at more mature audiences, often picking up also more mature themes.

Tallinn appears to be a monster.

Dispersion cannot be measured as simple Dispersion/Range, as all dispersion curves have a minimum dispersion at 0 km firing distance. Thus, Kirov, Molotov and Donskoi all adhere to the very same dispersion curve of D (in m) = R (in km) x 6.9 + 33. Tallinn's curve I do not know, though it has a notably worse increase of dispersion over range and actually it is 176 m at its base range, the upgraded 17.7 km range gets 190 m. The difference implies a dispersion increase of roughly 8.75 m per km and ~35 m minimum dispersion. Which also is used by Mikoyan, which is interesting, given Riga and Petro work off Yoshino/Azuma dispersion (R x 9.5 + 15) and unlike them, Tallinn at no range is more accurate than a normal cruiser (Riga and Petro surpass cruisers below ~7 km).

What's Roon even supposed to do

Turrets can fire over forward at an angle, turrets can be used for kiting. Roon is good at that. Obviously it sucks at bow-in standoffs, but why would you do that? I mean, how did you get through Königsberg or Nürnberg? Also there exist many other ships with rear bias, especially Japanese.

Can you stop digging out every Richelieu thread to post in, especially if it already stopped being posted in years ago?

Tallinn appears to be a monster.

Oh no, how dare WG make the second Russian line different from the first? Honestly, how about you stay with the other line and just stop playing this line if you cannot come to terms with another playstyle, but stop complaining about WG actually giving different lines different playstyles. Would be very much appreciated.

Tallinn appears to be a monster.

Talinn straight up outperforms Hipper in AP performance in almost every category. Catch a cruiser's side and it can do quite the number. Against angled ships, both are kinda trash, given neither has any good HE performance.

Best dakka ship at Tier IV?

Best shell output would be Karlsruhe, Danae, Phoenix, Svietlana and Kuma. Kuma has the highest HE dpm of these.

AL Sovetskaya Rossiya, am I missing something?

While undoubtedly tanky, I think that with that cit size, one less repair, less hp and no hydro and no plane compared to FdG, you shouldn't also get guns that have less range, far worse reload (offsetting the 1 barrel advantage for the most part even compared to 420 FdG) and less turret traverse.

how to spec JP Minekaze -> Harugumo line?

Then I guess the British cruisers split into the radar line and the farming line or something, because only one has radar and screw whatever is there before, you can have radar for 2/3 of the line, exp-wise.

how to spec JP Minekaze -> Harugumo line?

And which line has only gunboats? Also differentiating them by that characteristic is kinda silly, because one line is basically just torp boats and the other is half torpboats.

    T1-T5 UK CL

T1 is T1, noone cares. Ok some do, but who cares about them? While I heard Black Swan is no longer the Queen of "competitive T1", it shouldn't be hard to get to T2 in 2 games tops. T2, almost same. Lack of BBs though. You should be able to shoot some cruisers that aren't angled. Heck, I dunno, maybe armour down there can be overmatched anyway. T3-T4, ok, I admit, Caledon and Danae aren't extremely fun to play. At least I didn't like them much during regrind. But it's more because teams were lineups of Hosho and Gangut and that is painful. T4 in general I avoid these for months now. While I'd usually disagree with the comment on yolotorping, you can actually yolotorp surprisingly well up to T5 and might have done it myself a fair bit. If you aren't just straight up fed up with crap though, use that power lategame. But Danae can basically bowtank most ships it meets. T5 Emerald is okish. Since the buffs, it at least isn't the worst T5 anymore getting HE citpenned. It can be quite tanky and has 6 torps per side, a smoke and some ok dpm. Honestly, try to fight more cruisers and DDs, less BBs. At the end comes Leander, which is just great.
