Wargaming should Participate in Clanbattles.

And I guess when they run into a CV + Stalingrad/Venezia lineup, that enemy team "didn't play like a normal team would"? -
Go rely on today's DDs for spotting. Given how many people still play DD, half the time even without CV, you are left with people who can't get anything done. And while you get useless crap also in other classes, if CV is not around, DDs are still the biggest enablers of all the classes.

Good conceal, good dpm, smoke, heal, three torps to prevent push into smoke, doesn't care about HE pen, because it gets none. If you mess up, a Fuso can devstrike you in your smoke with spotter plane the same way an Izumo can with spotter plane, so, it really dosn't matter what tier you get. T9 just means, mind the radar ranges when smoking up.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm going to say, CVs spotting in randoms is not generally a bad thing. What is bad is how certain ships deal with being spotted, which could be addressed seperately. But these days, I go into randoms, I'm not even sure how to feel about CVs anymore, because it sucks when they are around, yet it sucks when you get none and you get a few of the special DD players that just don't do anything worthwhile. Like that no camo Khaba that spawned next to me at C a few days ago on Warrior's Path and headed straight for B, dying in there (as you'd expect), while at C the next best thing to do spotting was a Goliath. That's when whole flanks just collapse from the get go. Even a terrible CV likely would have prevented the utter collapse by just flying over once, looking for easy targets and showing us what is there. So, while CVs are broken af, they at least reduce the skill gap issue that exists with DDs these days.

Unless you like to get BAD or BELOW AVERAGE on a premium ship, it really would be better to try use tech tree ships. Premium ships at T7 hardly are better, they are different. Haida is the only ship that gets high influence, because it does one job very well for a T7 DD and can try to fight higher tiers. But if you for example cannot counterplay radar, then the cap contesting style of a Haida actually will just mean you die more often in T9 matches and something like an Akatsuki, spamming torps out would get better results, even if it isn't a great T7 DD. If you really want to get better stats, take tech tree ships, try to learn how to best play those, how to stay alive and still have good influence and if any of the ships is so great you think you want more of that, you can look into premiums. But otherwise you waste like 30 Euro to suck in a premium ship.

Ehhh, buying ships to carry when uptiered at T7... Haida is really the only thing that comes to mind, as the Belfast is not available and otherwise, best ships at T7 for that kinda situation are mostly tech tree ships, like Fiji, Sinop, Gneisenau, Lyon, Myoko, Jervis, ... Like, apart from Haida, there isn't much in premiums that really shine for uptiering and big impact. Hood uptiers well, because it is tanky, but it's not big impact. Gorizia uptiers well, because it's Italian and plays the same regardless of tier, but it is basically same as tech tree Zara. Leningrad is a better Minsk, but that'd require the Minsk playstyle to be incredibly powerful, which it kinda is not. Scharnhorst is basically a Gneisenau that uptiers worse than its tech tree counterpart. Maybe München when it comes out could be an ok ship, because its fragile, but it gets decent firepower, which might mean it isn't worse off against an Iowa than it is against a Fuso, as both can end it fast, but Iowa still gets penned everywhere. None of them. Indianapolis is fragile, with low dpm. Radar is cool, but does not synergise well with the ship. The best time to play Indy is T7 ranked, where radar + 203 mm AP tends to end Belfast, Fiji and Flint pretty fast if played correctly. But vs T9, you are a crappy NO. Boise/NdJ is likely one of the worst uptiers at T7. Superheal sounds cool, till you realise that you have to get close, have to use crappy gun angles and you arent penning 32 mm plating of high tiers ever, so you are basically just going to suffer. The heal won't allow you to survive if you get citblapped. Atlanta is even worse in most aspects than Boise, without the hp and even less pen and less range. The best you can say about Atlanta when it uptiers is that it gets torps. But yoloing someone with those is just not really going to happen. At least not reliably. And if you run into anything with 203 mm guns, like a Baltimore, with half a brain, they load AP and delete you out of existence. There isn't really a great deal of good T7 premiums, compared to tech tree options. I'd really just say, go get a Jervis, Myoko or Sinop/Gneisenau and work with those, if you feel you get uptiered too much. These ships also lead to T8 at some point.

Saw Kitakami yesterday. Not even played by a bad player, but the ship is basically utterly crap. If you can't find some idiot to torp, you are absolute deadweight. The torps being Yuudachi torps are utterly trash and while you get 20 per side, you can either create a wide fan and risk gaps or a narrow spread that however gets dodged if people move just a bit. You don't need hydro to dodge that either, I found it quite comfortable to dodge, despite playing a Yoshino, which isn't exactly the most nimble ship now. In the end, the Kitakami was their last survivor (likely because not a CV game) and didn't really get much done, because apart from torps, it got not really anything. I rather play my Yoshino with only 8 anti-speshul torps per side, but a good set of guns and survivability than the floating piece of junk that is the Kitakami. -

I take triple Kitakami over MvR + double Slava div. -
Zao can stealth torp, USN CLs have crap ballistics, Smolensk is a smoke cruiser and British cruisers have torps and good armour. Azuma basically has no reason to get close most of the time and when it does, its concealment is fine. It already is among the lowest of supercruisers, shared only with the Germans and lower than a good few actual cruisers. This isn't some Neptune where there'd be an actual point in reducing the concealment and an actual tangible benefit in what it provides for gameplay.

Go take your Grozovoi, never go further than 4 km from your CV and still try to be useful. When you can actually still get results, then we can talk about how sensible the CV as AA cover is for most ships in the game.
-
Ah yes, the solution is to camp the back with the CV. You know, if you just stay in port, you also never get bombed.
-
In port, just like Odin and Graf Spee festive camo has sailors and the Unsinkable Sam camos will have the cat climbing around on your ship. In battle those are gone.
-
You could take Audacious into random and do ok with it and MvR certainly is not a terrible CV from what I can see. I doubt it's top competitive, but for randoms, making people miserable and winning games against your average opponent certainly seems doable.
-
And what is it supposed to do with the concealment? Having just under 12 km conceal is ok for what the ship is and given Azuma has no reason to get closer, it doesn't really need a concealment buff.
-
So, when Petro can do it, everyone complains about how powerful Petro is, but when normal ships start doing it, people complain about it being bad and annoying and stuff.

PöLL - How do you like playing against the Mainz?
HaachamaShipping replied to Knutorius's topic in General Discussion
No, one is Black, hence the B! Obviously they have both the same stats, it's the point. You cannot just take all stats at face value without considering how it got there. Mainz as a ship that is newer and not too much played is bound to have better than average performance. -
i am so so mad at wargaiming ( rant )

1. You could look at what stuff does before buying it. 2. Slava was not even 20 km away. If you look at minimap, at last known position and your corpse, that's not 20 km. Also, Des Mo cannot bowtank any T10 BB except Bourgogne. -
Graf Zeppelin Nerfed into Oblivion.
HaachamaShipping replied to Sunleader's topic in Aircraft Carriers
Likely would go offtopic going into that, but whatever the future of the German Navy, a carrier really is not very useful there. -

HaachamaShipping replied to Sunleader's topic in Aircraft Carriers
The modern Deutsche Marine already lacks the necessary amount of ships to do its current duties, getting a carrier indeed is the last of its priorities. -

Isn't it sad how the Atago B completely powercrept the Atago? 10k more average damage and over two percentage points higher WR. What's the point still of Atago? -

Worcester has like double the dpm with reload mod and sitting usually behind islands people prefer to use the opportunity of shooting open water Worcester.
