  1. RIP? I haven't heard much feedback indicating these were achieved. I can only hope this works. Dunno why they couldn't just give proper controls though. Like, what exactly would make the CV OP if it could manually steer the ship? Oh, it's because people are too dumb. I guess being unable to micro 8 Hakuryu squads + CV means people can't keep up with 2 units at a time. Not that you'd need to manually steer the CV all the time. I guess in Russian programming CV plays you? Given how braindead they make everything, I'm surprised they expect people to actually look at the minimap. I'm looking forward to the chaos that ensues before they got enough data and the thousands of threads on CVs being OP or useless or both. Dunno how long that'll last...

    Ukrainerussia? Austriagermany? .... Czechoslovakia?

I mean, geographically, no. Mentality-wise it kinda checks out though, in my experience. Unsurprisingly.

    Ukrainerussia? Austriagermany? .... Czechoslovakia?

    I mean, Ukraine-Russia doesn't exist either.
  4. I might point out that it is the thing of all AP-slinging RN light cruisers. This is a heavy cruiser with full ammo choice. The closest thing comparable would be the other premiums based on RN CLs, Perth and Belfast, both which get no repair party. Exeter also will likely get RN cruiser smoke. Overall, RN CLs are good ships at these mid-tiers, with Emerald only being questionable because of the 25 mm citadel deck and the lackluster guns. Every premium cruiser that came out switched the repair out for a different consumable and HE, removing the improved pen angles on AP. Exeter assuming it doesn't get Emerald's deck, would pretty much take a Leander's survivability, put it at T5, give it repair, smoke and HE and while the AP does not have improved pen angles, who cares? You can just overmatch the opposition anyway. You also don't need IFHE, because 203 mm guns. In dpm, it's low, but not unbearably low. It edges out Furutaka due to its reload. And Furutaka already shows how powerful the 203 mm caliber at T5 is. Lastly, Exeter has a concealment that isn't quite RN CL level, but apart from RN CLs and RN CLs in other nations (Perth and Huanghe) no cruiser actually outspots this thing in its MM spread. If you take recently announced Yahagi, Exeter is basically already a counter to it, spotting it at the same time roughly and being ale to mercilessly gun it down.
  5. Then, can you explain the smoke?

    no cv version

You can AA build a Kagero. But don't expect 43.5 AA dps on 5 km to save you against even a Ryuujou.

    no cv version

It is hard to play against CV disadvantage, but it is possible. Also, WG won't change anything before CV rework, I'd think.

    Ukrainerussia? Austriagermany? .... Czechoslovakia?

I take it you want a hyphen, right?
  9. I mean, at T5, the only thing that has anywhere near comparable power level is the Furutaka, which can outright tank same tier BB shells. But Furutaka has worse concealment, firepower, fewer torpedoes, no repair party and no smoke. Furutaka could beat Exeter though by just overmatching Exeter, assuming that 13 mm plating is all over the ship (which I'd say is likely, but not guaranteed). Everything else though... I mean, can you justify this thing vs Kirov, Emile Bertin, Omaha, Emerald, Königsberg?
  10. I'd expect it to be on par with Leander. Which kind of makes me think it should be T6 more than T5. It has more right to be there than Huanghe for sure.
  11. Seems like we get a new contender for best T5 cruiser. Honestly, Exeter might actually be viable in T5 ranked. Preferable over Emerald for sure. It's one major weakness compared to Furutaka is that it gets overmatched by 203s, but it has good concealment, a repair party and a smoke. And almost Aoba firepower.
  12. They look basically the same as the AA guns. A different ship with non-functional AA though would be the HSF Graf Spee, which has some added 20 mm FlaK models over Graf Spee, but they are purely cosmetic.
  13. "Quickly" is relative. I would avoid thinking that Hindenburg/Henri are somehow going to just melt this ship down. It'd be more appropriate to think they are able to slowly whittle it down, given both ships have to deal with poor HE dpm against a ship with the highest hp pool of current T10 cruisers and as you keep shooting it, saturation will set in (which is why when you have 50 mm pen, you shouldn't just shoot superstructure, but even then you'll eventually run into diminishing damage per volley). Yes, Stalingrad cannot take their shelling forever, but it has got some time before it actually dies and if it can make that time count, there's little a lone Hindenburg/Henri can do to stop it. At least in contrast to Moskva, the Stalingrad's own HE dpm is even lower, so you are less in danger of losing most of your hp in return, like in a Hindenburg vs Moskva battle. But this is far from the "eating alive" real dpm ships do vs ships that have 32 mm plating or less all over.
  14. Technically, that doesn't have to mean much. Ishizuchi has extra AA guns on the turrets, but they are just modelled, not functional.

    Ships for T9 ranked

Wait, so T9 Ranked will be like Arms Race?

Console Ready CV's....We all told you so ;-)

Kancolle and Azur Lane manage to accomplish that and I'm actually curious as to how large the weeb segment is within the player base and how much that might actually have generated interest among younger people in naval history.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Played NC, got annoyed against T10, so I went and played Gneisenau to get my wins for daily missions and feel the thrill of hunting down inferior ships. I might at some point get the prem camo for this beauty. Good for more than just ramming.

    Ships for T9 ranked

If it isn't too costly, hopefully Alaska. If not, Yuugumo, if I can be bothered.

Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)

Got a problem? Might actually have to grind BPs for York/Exeter duo if they become usable (even if they aren't top tier).

    Chinese Whispers

You won't learn crap from this game that is relevant for modern naval warfare. So, unlikely.

Were the buffs to Hipper and Eugen enough?

Because on paper, 5 heals look good. In practice, you are playing a cruiser, not a BB. Even if all you are battling are Zaos, the first three heals will likely be effective, the fourth will already struggle to have enough recoverable hp and the fifth charge likely won't recover anything meaningful. On battleships, where fires are more significant compared to normal pens and where you are less likely to eat citadels, you easily have recoverable hp for five if not more repair parties, but on a cruiser that gets full penned by all HE, where fires last only half as long and where a good hit by a BB might remove most of your hp in cits (Republique and Yamato overmatch), it's a joke.
  23. Conkek already can overmatch Cruisers with those guns. If that isn't worth the dpm, then some extra bows won't be either. Meanwhile T7s will become largely immune to T6 tech tree ships and for ships like Nelson this is quite the buff, given how often it is top tier. Cutting the overmatching ships from 20 to 9 in T6-T8 is pretty significant, especially as in terms of tech line ships it's a cut from 13 to 4.
