I mean, farming isn't hard gameplay-wise. Putting in the committment to do repetitive tasks though... It's why I never got too invested in KC. Really got no clue how I even managed to ever put in the effort to remodel four Asashio-class before I kinda quit. Honestly, I'm pretty poor at committing to games, I basically just manage if I have others, like in WoWS, where I know I shouldn't slack off, cause people depend on me for CB and such.

I slacked off on refitting (and playing in general) and still only have Hammann refitted among the DDs. Working on Z23, but really... not exactly a priority of mine, given I get by by just throwing my main fleet at anything and never bothering with super hard stuff. Life of a casual...

It's openly known that the AL devs reference Warships at times. Skill setups like Belfast's smoke+HE or stuff like British CL and German guns being all AP are quite certainly WoWS based. Other things are quite similar, but I'm less sure. But also we know from how the collab came to be that AL folks play WoWS. On a minor sidenote: I got my first gold quint torp. Waifu Leander hits even harder now. Since I also finally got a QE from medal exchange, my RN fleet of QE, Hood, Illustrous (switch with Unicorn if I want frontline buffed) and the three Leander-class is still the pride of my fleet. Given I gave Hood KGV gun for 3x4 shells + barrage, it's a field wipe most of the time she fires. This certainly is not how Hood performs in WoWS...
  4. Floods are now basically less of an issue than fires. No, they even presented the example of how the damage now is less than before, even with two floods, due to less duration and less damage.
  5. Yeah, in the case of Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, Scharnhorst uses the actual historical setup of 3x3 28 cm guns, while Gneisenau uses the proposed upgraded version of 3x2 38 cm guns, which are the same as used on Bismarck-class. Meanwhile with Bismarck and Tirpitz, no such plans existed, they basically both use the same main and secondary battery. Only, ingame, Bismarck gets hydro and better AA, Tirpitz gets 4 torpedoes per side with 6 km range.
  6. Given the 105s only directly hurt T7 or lower DDs and nothing else, yeah, noone cares.

Guess I'll watch out for that once I play things on my phone, not on emulator. In other news, something great arrived in the mail today. I must say, the details are amazingly beautiful. It was a bit of an impulsive purchase, but no regrets. Now I just need to make sure that she gets a proper spot. Looking forward to the upcoming Sims torp buffs too. 7 km torps that aren't watermines...

    Japan and Germany war economy

I expected some crappy post about why axis war economy is on same level as allied war economy, but seemingly it's not even that...
  9. It got the exact same main battery and secondary battery. It in fact gets less barrels if you count AA too.

6 months in what's the Aigle like ?

I really don't think Aigle needed buffs, but given how hard these torps hit, I'll take it.
  11. For T6, the gunpower is not great but ok. You aren't going to counter DDs as hard as counter-radar Belfast, but for everything else there is moving smoke which is far harder to blind-fire than stationary smoke and spotter plane that gives vision outside smoke far longer than radar does. Add to that that you actually have torps, 4 per side that are no joke and also a pretty solid concealment, and you know why Perth has such a high WR among T6 cruisers. It's to the Leander what Belfast is to Fiji, just it doesn't farm DD tears as much, cause no radar. Also, as was said, you need a proper captain build. For Ranked, Perth is one of the few cruisers I'd actually take out, because the ship is just so much better at doing a T6 cruisers job. You can support your DDs or BBs from your moving smoke cloud without having to worry as much about getting shot to pieces (though you should keep an eye on where people turn their barrels), which other CLs can't do as easily and if you know no DD is around, the only thing outspotting a Perth (by a minor difference) is Huanghe, which is basically just a worse Perth that gets some AA, so it shouldn't be hard to win that fight.
  12. Is there any real reason to bother adjusting PA captains for CV skills? Like, what CV would there ever be? INS Vikrant? A ship that operated jet planes. Then again, given the Graf Zeppelin seemingly no longer uses Stukas, who says WG won't just put WWII aircraft on the ship and call it a day... But really, seems kind of pointless.

    Collections. What are they for?

As other said, collections often contain free goodies that can be quite useful, like captains or permacamo (apart from needing no credits to refresh, permacamo reduces the credit cost of playing the ship, increases exp gains and in some cases increases credit gains) which, or just nice, like second flag or alternate camo scheme. Either way, nothing is lost by trying to complete a collection. If you need containers after the collection ended, WG does offer some containers in the arsenal for coal. While they cost no insignificant amount of coal, this can be worth it, as some collections give you really cool things that are on par with other stuff you get in the arsenal. Currently, four collections are offered in the arsenal and every one of them is, imo, worth it (unless you don't play corresponding ships): Hunt for Bismarck is likely the least useful, as it gives you a permacamo for Bismarck upon completion. If you like Bismarck (like me), this saves you doubloons on getting an actual permacamo. If you don't play Bismarck, no need for this one. Dunkirk campaign is useful, because it gives the Jack Dunkirk captain. Jack Dunkirk is an improved British captain, so if you play British BB or CL, Jack Dunkirk is really useful. For British DDs, it's still better than normal, but I'd rather use him on a cruiser or BB. Vive La France is the same for France, giving you a special french captain. Useful on any French ship really. Second Anniversary collection is arguably one of the best colections in terms of what it gives, though it depends if you play those ships. 5 permacamos for Z-23, Charles Martel, New Orleans, Kiev and Monarch. Most of these are ok ships, so if you plan on keeping an and want a permacamo that looks pretty decent, you can get it here. Other than that, most of the older collections often gave the ability to host 2 flags on a ship or alternate colours on camos for a certain nation. USN cruiser collection and British DD collections gave permacamos, but are still too new for the arsenal. One collection that was great was High School Fleet, as it gave basically a free Yamato permacamo (and T10 permacamos are incredibly useful), but this collection will never return as it's a collab that ran out. It does however highlight how useful collections can be.

Yelling at CV's for no fighter cover (rework)

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/080-postponed-announcement/ Yes, because it's confusing the average player. You know, it could be vital information, but who has the processing capability to keep track of that? But really, I hope they just made it a feature to toggle on/off, which still is retarded, but then I can turn it on in addition to all the other circles and markers that help a ton when you know how to use a minimap.

I probably have more female captains than male ones...
  17. Could just have given them tier-appropriate stats. Not like there'll ever be another German CV and who's going to credibly complain about historical accuracy of plane stats with the way CVs are, not to mention that the alternative we get isn't accurate either.

I thought non-CVs can't see those green circles anymore.

Help Me Decide! - Bismarck or Amagi

Yes she does, though it loses more effectiveness with range. Still makes it one of the harder to citadel T8 BBs.

Finally, I got what I started constructing for: Those backline torp salvos from her and Kaga are funny, though pretty useless. Maybe better at higher skill level.

Help Me Decide! - Bismarck or Amagi

A good few valid points, but frankly, I don't actually buy into "Massachusetts powercreeped Bismarck". If you want a battleship that can just move in and give the least amount of f***'s about what is thrown at it, Bismarck is still the best BB and Massachusetts with 32 mm everywhere, citadel deck that gets overmatched and no hydro is not going to contest that. In pure BB vs BB fights, yes, Bismarck isn't the strongest. But it's also not garbage to the point where it can't do anything. It's passable. But for cruisers that aren't the miserable Hipper/Eugen at T8, I pick a fight with a Massachusetts with no reinforced plating and slow derp shells over the Bismarck which certainly will be a protracted affair and it leaves far less room for me to dodge. Sure, if I hang out within 11.3 km, Massachusetts hurts me more, but then I deserve it. Similarly, Amagi's broadside is no joke, but as a cruiser, Amagi is just easier to kill. Bismarck is a case where it gets frustrating. Not saying Amagi is bad, but I think people are just too quick to dismiss a large part of what makes Bismarck good. It's not necessarily just BB killing, though if you want that, get a Tirpitz.

Help Me Decide! - Bismarck or Amagi

The differences in survivability frankly aren't much more pronounced than differences in armament, because while the less armoured ships sure can do basic tanking too, Bismarck's main armament is more than capable of sinking ships, by that same logic. Bismarck is perfectly capable of crippling and destroying cruisers and it can hurt BBs. It's only when you start arguing about the more minute differences like overmatch, accuracy and barrel that some others look a lot more appealing, notably IJN and USN (French, Italians and RN are on a similar level main battery-wise). But that's also where the difference lies between something like Amagi that basically only has close-range protective turtleback, basic 32 mm plating of T8+ and some torpedo bulges to hold off HE that hits the sides vs a ship that has more hp, can potentially bounce Yamato shells, has turtleback pretty much effective at most ranges and is only pennable by HE in select few places that can run out of hp in reasonable time. It's been my opinion for a long time that Bismarck is the last allround decent BB in the KM tree and its a pretty competitive ship, however one has to know how to make that survivability advantage count. Bismarck gets away with things that Amagi and NC don't. For crappy players, that means they get less punished for crappy play while still throwing hp away, but for good players, it means knowing when and where to purposefully use that tankiness for a benefit. Knowing which positions a Bismarck can take that other BBs would not want to take, pushing where others would be hard-pressed to push.
