I'm curious, what's the female proportion in WoWs?

Reason I posted the different citadel sizes and positions. I thought they'd be self-explanatory.

Exeter is not a mini-Belfast and more of a British Furutaka after latest (much-needed) balance changes.

Deck thickness also matters for HE pen. Also, generic common plating is a bit iffy, as it might be true, but at times only applies to extremities (Hindenburg has 27 mm bow and stern... then 30 mm everywhere else. Gneisenau has a 25 mm stern and upper bow, then 50 mm deck, 70 mm lower bow and 45 mm casemates that laugh in your face. Furutaka has a 13 mm bow and then proceeds with 25 mm sides that bounce all T5 BB and a 48 mm deck that shrugs off whatever BB shell hits it and all HE except BB HE and Yorck...) Also, common plating thickness does not explain why certain ships get overpenned more often than others. Why is a hit on a Cleveland an overpen most of the time, but on a Mogami or Chapayev with equally garbage 25 mm (or Edinburgh with even less armour), it's a ton of cits?

It's RNG insofar as dispersion exists. It is skill insofar as you should know where to aim on a ship. USN CLs are a prime example, as the CL line (so, not Omaha) have pretty small citadels compared to other cruisers of their tier and they got little to no armour anywhere else. Thus, overpenning them when you don't hit exactly where the citadel is is a given with a high pen BB like Musashi on a broadside target. To be fair though, the amount of RNG that goes into overpens is actually less than goes into ricochets, which you supposedly understand, because ricochets have an area where they are possible, but not guaranteed, adding RNG ontop of just dispersion. Penetration values are not RNG, nor are armour models, so apart from dispersion throwing your shells wherever, it is possible to guarantee an outcome with proper aim (but dispersion exists, so at any significant range you can't guarantee anything). What makes this more complex than ricochet likely is that it features more interaction with interior parts of the armour model (though shells can ricochet off internal plating too, but such is typically still a pen/overpen and thus displayed as such).

Put Washington as Fleet 2 flagship, put Yorktown where Cali is, put Cali in fleet 1, make Hood fleet 1 flagship. This gives you two fleets with a barrage BB/CC in the center location, where it has best coverage when it spews out its shells. Replace California and Tennessee down the line. QE+any RN ship or god knows what. -

If they were all into oppai, DFC wouldn't be a thing. Personally, I don't care either, as long as it stays within reason. -

Ryoubi seems cute in general. Just the bust size increase on transformation is kinda unnecessary. -

They only take longer to die. Also, please keep in mind that you are pointing this out now, quoting our pre-0.8 data. These mounts already got an hp buff with rework and have double the hp they had before. High enough concentration of HE shells or RN BB HE will still strip these mounts easily. Also, plane kills in this case mostly depends on CVs being dumb enough to fly into flak, less on what the AA is made out of.

100% of crap survivability is still crap survivability. Also, the rockets were completely reworked. They now form a second long range AA (thus doubling the +2 bonus from Anti-air mod 1 from +2 to de facto +4 explosions on long range and the defAA only is a normal defAA.

Honestly, it's what one picks up when browsing the forums a lot and looking up stats in different sites or ingame (sigma isn't displayed ingame). Either out of curiosity or to get the relevant data for arguments to make a proper case in debates. Also, stuff like LWM's reviews are helpful when picking up certain aspects and get comparisons. Also, no, you gotta keep washing dishes.

You'd be surprised. Not too rarely, you aren't being targetted. Often, PT's counter also doesn't help as much in whether you are targetted at all or not, but how many. If you run into 1 ship and 5 target you, it's safe to say, there's more than one ship there and you better get out. If you run into 3 ships and only 1 targets you, you can be much bolder in how to deal with that than if you had to always assume all three are out to kill you. And don't forget, when you get into T10 matches, you face stuff like Yamato, Republique and other T10 BBs that can accurately shoot across half the map. Meanwhile, how often do you lose turrets? And if one is so concerned about turrets, why run auxiliary armaments mod over Main Armaments Mod? Basically, their current build trades PT not for main battery survival, but for secondary survival. And frankly, no, secondaries on Bismarck are not worth that much. You rarely lose enough for this to be valuable.
-
Decent T8 BB. Secondary build still works and likely is most fun. Haven't played Bismarck much lately, given I got not the time to derp around with all ships and rather focus on playing what I grind. Still, played two games on the 14th for the mission and it performs as always (and got 92k average, which I'm quite content with). In general, Bismarck plays mid to short range. Don't hang back, follow up with cruisers. First, they provide additional AA, secondly, you want to get things into secondary range, third, like a cruiser, use terrain to mask approaches and to limit the angles of fire. If you can avoid getting cross-fired, Bismarck still is the tankiest T8 (now with less AP bomb terror). Any cruiser that moves up. No. You are a BB. You got repair party. You shouldn't throw your ship away, but you should already try to make plays early, by being close to capping DDs and cruisers and threatening any cruiser trying to threaten your DDs. You don't need to be yolo-rushing through mid and die to cross fires, but hanging back throws away your strength as the best BB to put into a forward position (at T8). No more 7-11 AP DB squads. Enough said. Slot 1 Main Armaments Mod Slot 2 Damage Control Mod 1 Slot 3 Secondary Mod Slot 4 Damage Control Mod 2 Slot 5 Concealment Mod Captain skills (14pnt) PT, AR, BoS, AFT and MFCSA Secondaries are nice, but not worth buffing their survival over the survival of your main turrets. Nor are they valuable enough to buff their survival over PT, which is valuable information. Most likely, if you ever lose a secondary turret it's a 105 mm twin turret (which got their hp buffed, as they are AA) and the loss of damage is negligible. One might argue that much is invested in secondaries, so you want to keep them alive, but a dead ship's secondaries don't fire either. PT informs you about when you got people's attention, when there might be potential cross fires, when you might get torped. Just too useful, imo. Obviously, engine and steering are rarely lost, so PM is wasted there. BoS beats SI, imo, as Bismarck typically wants to mitigate damage upfront. As an aggressive ship, you might not often survive to fifth repair party. Take SI on 17th point. AFT is my preference over MFCSA, but with AA range nerf, it's really just a pick whatever.

I'd not say more attractive. But I'd say, it should have a feature that makes it excel in slightly other ways. Atago for example is in some ways more attractive, but it pays a price for it and you'd be able to keep Mogami and Atago and enjoy either without going "Why am I playing this and not the other one?". Wichita is basically just a gimped Baltimore though. The strengths of the ship are not making up for the downsides compared to the free alternative and role-wise they have no real differences either.

So.... you don't see any issue with the status quo. WG sees no issue with the status quo. Why bring it up? It's not. With 12 minutes you can barely get anything done unless you just yolo and die. I think this is the silliest of your points. Sorry, but I got no time to press random keys inmidst of battle all the time. Just accept that most players are terrible and that basically noone is here to play this as some sort of press random keys the game tells you to press. If you get 3/3 or 3/4 and still not win, then the enemy must have done something right and played to some objective. There's more ways to win than capping and throwing your ships away to get caps you can't then defend is just as stupid as neglecting them. Randoms are called Random, cause you play with random people. You can play in a div of 3 already. If you rather want to just play as clan, there's CB. -
Hood's deck armour is 51 mm. Hood's deck armour can bounce Yamato shells. No, BB shells pretty much never fall enough to not bounce they don't overmatch on deck plating in WoWS. What makes Hood suffer is an above water citadel and either getting penned in side that is not angled enough or through the bow/stern.

Just because one murder was more gory doesn't make the rest less of a murder. They're all kinda questionable loli content. -
Scharnhorst has 9 28 cm guns. These guns are slightly worse in their ballistics and damage compared to Admiral Graf Spee (despite AGS using older guns) and a good bit worse in accuracy. Admiral Graf Spee gets the battlecruiser dispersion (or so-called AGS dispersion as it was the first ship to feature it) which is right inbetween cruiser and BB dispersion. Scharnhorst gets German BB dispersion (but 2.0 sigma, over typical 1.8 and even outperforming AGS 1.9). AGS will have thus a far more consistent shot pattern than the Scharnhorst, though with 6 shells, you need it. Scharnhorst basically has a typical shot pattern of somewhat accurate 9 gun BB. The guns overall aren't bad, but not great either. They are great to kill same and low tier cruisers, but suck at killing T8+ cruisers that know how to angle against you (and occasionally bounce on the tankier low-tiers sides, if you fire at IJN cruisers or some Yorck). At range their pen isn't all too great either, much worse than Gneisenau. Other than that, Scharnhorst has stock Gneisenau secondaries (basically Bismarck grade on 8 km range) and 2 knots less max speed. I thus find Scharnhorst exceptionaly good for operations, where the greater consistency vs mostly T7 and lower cruisers is worth more than Gneisenau's pen.
