I didn't go foxmining either. I hate utterly repetitive stuff, the character design is ok, but not making me go out of my way for it and I get by in PvE without foxes. -
How to stay excited about lower tier ships when you already have the tier X?
HaachamaShipping replied to Miscommunication_dept's topic in General Discussion
Depends. Having Hindenburg, I certainly don't feel like playing Hipper or Roon. Yorck currently not in port and Nürnberg is just too fragile. But that's because Hindenburg to me is a ship that is unexciting but at least somewhat solid, the other two are unexciting and I feel like any good other cruiser craps on my ship. I know I wuld when on the other side. On the other hand Kurfürst has certainly not made me appreciate Bismarck or Gneisenau less, Minotaur still does not make me appreciate Leander and Edinburgh less, Yamato still is not a reason for me to not play Kii. And having the NC, I still play more West Virginia than NC, because I prefer Colorado honestly. And frankly, yes, the T10 is likely better. But it also has a different meta and a different weight to pull most of the time. Getting uptiered is a challenge, but wrecking some T8 or T9 BB in Gneisenau feels much more satisfying than working my a** off trying to play GK. -
I think we need another FREE captain RESPEC.

If you didn't realise it didn't help anyway while it was free, you won't find out now. Right back at you, I think you overestimate the intelligence of the player base... -

I mean, any ship that used BFT before will continue to do so now, unless CV numbers decrease or they have no non-AA related use for it. Just because the skill got better doesn't mean it's useless, especially as very few ships could claim they'd have good enough AA anyway to shred planes with base AA. Also, Manual AA is not just 20% faster switching but 20% more effect (which actually is the bigger effect if you get used to switching and in case of BBs the skill might make the difference on whether it is actually worth it to switch sectors or just not bother). I certainly wouldn't invest 4 points into Manual AA if it only made shaved off 2s from switch time on my Mino, but I do it because it increases the bonus from 125% to 150%. -

I mean, that you could weasel yourself out of. There is a diminished return for sure, but it still works. RPF meanwhile flat out won't work and has not a diminished return, but no return at all. I'd say that'd be nice and a friendly gesture towards people for having to put up with this lifetesting. It costs exactly nothing and helps avoid pissed off customers. But WG refuse to. At the very very least they should give a respec though when they directly alter skills. -

HaachamaShipping replied to Contrador's topic in General Discussion
Main reason why the respec is justified imo is that they continue changing skills like RPF on CVs. That's a whole 4 pt skill that suddenly goes from situationally useful to outright useless because it just does no longer work. -

Never seen this US BB before?

The turrets were designed. That makes it at the very least as real as Hindenburg and Roon. It's the T10 version of Azuma, so an IJN supercruiser. -

Did you know that if you choose your camping location as cruiser according to feng shui principles, BBs will miss you more often than if you positioned in a way sound tactics would dictate? Me neither, but feel free to try it out and report back whether it worked. -

Looking them up (Ryoubi frankly is the sole character I actually could recall from artworks), that game sure can get ridiculous. -

Well, for high tier games, get a Conqueror and give it the 457 mm guns. You basically get the T10 variant of Georgia then. Or play Yamato. For T9 exclusive modes, the 457 mm overmatch of 30 mm plating is only applicable on Ibuki centre deck and you are better off playing Iowa or Izumo (if you want 2.0 sigma BB). -

HaachamaShipping replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Frankly, I'm more interested in whether it'll be 38 mm centre deck like NC, Iowa and Montana or 32 mm like SC-class. Because even with 38 mm, this ship has 5 advantages over a Musashi: Better speed (likely the most consistent advantage there is) Better AA (matters in CV matches, but ok. Also, that explosion damage is quiestionable) Less citadel (but still is USN, so overmatchable cit deck is to be expected) Better accuracy (2.0 sigma and APR2) Better turret traverse (nice, but can be mitigated) Meanwhile Musashi has: Better HP pool Better HE protection (by far with 57 mm center deck that ignores German HE, almost no superstructure and 50 mm section over much of the bow where USN has 32 mm) Better torp protection 32 mm overpen Much better dpm (50% more guns and MBM3. Combined with base IJN dispersion, I don't give a hoot about Georgia accuracy, 50% more guns is just much better) If this ship gets SC 32 mm deck, it's just more insulting. -

I see absolutely no reason to get this ship over Musashi, even with 2.0. -
Instead of waisting time, FIX this Voices problem!!
HaachamaShipping replied to RedOnly's topic in Archive
They actually do care about the settings, because the only way to hear them is by selecting Standard, National+ or their specific Voiceover (e.g. HSF - Thea Kreutzer, ARP - Nachi, AL - Enterprise). The last one however will replace all voices, even of other captains and other player's voice commands. But for example selecting National will disable all special voices, which was why National+ was so much requested, because switching around just to hear voices you paid for was a p.i.t.a. -

ST, CVs, Georgia, Monarch, Conqueror
HaachamaShipping replied to Sehales's topic in Development Blog
Likely not. The 457 mm caliber (aka 18 inch) is a caliber people planned for historically and the only reason Yamato got 460 is because the Japanese went towards more metric calibers (thus also 41 cm instead of 40.6 cm). We'll likely keep seeing this caliber at times, such as here, or also if they ever make an IJN premium based on the BB Nr.13 project, which was the original 20s era 18 inch design of the IJN. If you however argue we should get guns bigger than 46 cm...I cannot imagine a ship that would be more garbage to play than Kurfürst with 4x2 51 cm guns. Because the shells are heavier, thus they are slower, but retain more energy at range, as well as cause a bit more damage on impact. -

Anything of NC and up has SHS and gets normal pen angles, so, likely no. -

DevBlogWoWs: CV Changes and Roadmap
HaachamaShipping replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
As far as Harekaze is concerned as a hybrid between IJN gunboat and torp boat, the AA works decently well with minimal changes to build (AA mod instead of AS Mod). It isn't the AA powerhouse you'd get from something like maybe Kidd and you absolutely need to watch out because of the low hp pool, but with 6 explosions, you got something to work with. Would recommend not staying on your own at the start of the match on any DD though, add your AA to other ships till the CV lost a good few planes and cannot just strike you nilly-willy. -
In my experience, I usually get a penalty that however gets lifted when I log on again. For whatever reason. In general, while it's not what we should aim for, I'll never get why people make a fuss about becoming pink. Literally the sole penalty you really get (if you play normal) is you get the full damage in a collision with a team mate. People argue about this and ask for changes to the automated warning system as if pink made the game unplayable.
