    Dunno. Got Ranger and Enterprise (and Saipan, but never played it) and usually, I don't find the planes unable to turn fast enough so as to allow the DD to not be within a very predictable area.

    No, because Kaga needs no buff. Kaga having poor rocket fighters is an intentional drawback, being decently accurate, but rather weak. If you just want to set fires and wreck stuff, Kaga has the Suisei HE DBs for that.

    Despite the name, SAP is best considered a high pen, high alpha, no fire chance, bounceable HE shell. Would you expect good numbers from HE there? Maybe if you shot the soft parts, but if you aim for cits, it'd always be AP. The advantage of SAP would be if you face some ship with reinforced plating where the 42 mm Montecuccoli pen and 54 mm pen of higher tier Italian cruisers get through, while HE usually doesn't and SAP also can do huge damage on ships where you usually cannot use AP effectively, like DDs. But usually, for all these exciting moments, much time will be spent getting frustrated by the insane reload times and ricochets.

    He already pointed out many times that providing fighter support is silly if it doesn't conveniently offer itself without compromising other duties. If you head to a cap to wreck enemy ships there, it may be no extra expense popping a fighter over friendlies there, but flying around just to pop a fighter is just a waste of potential and typically gets nothing done, as it is cheesed too easily to be worth the time.

    Every Smolensk gangsta, till BB loads HE. May sound stupid, but in certain BBs it is a legit way to deal with the buggers. All T10 BB except Montana have the HE pen to bypass the 70 mm cit plate and if the alternative is derping a bunch of overpens into the side, a good few ships are better served just going for HE cits. Especially ships like Yamato, Conqueror or Thunderer with their insane HE alpha can potentially oneshot the Smolensk with its small hp pool.

    Changing names. Nah, more serious... It depends on what you already got. If you don't have premium time, then that is the best usually. If you already got that, ship slots and ships are next. Dismounting upgrades or such may seem useful, but frankly, it is better to invest into the income side than the cost side. And modules you can get for credits, slots and premium ships only for doubloons. Except legendary modules, which you shouldn't switch around much, because you need to invest 25 doubs to get rid of them again without being unable to reobtain them.

    AP bombs are typically more useful and Kaga torps are on a per torp base worse than Shokek torps. Kaga torp drop has only 50% more damage potential than Shokaku one. The Kaga isn't bad, but it certainly is less versatile than Shokaku.

    TA on 12 km torps reduces reaction time by a whopping 0.6 seconds, from 9.4s to 8.8s. Spending two points on this and not on better skills is just a waste. the greatest advantage is dropping time to target, but frankly, that's only significant at long ranges, where the main value lies in creating a torp wall for area denial, torping choke points and camping spots.

    If you have a Stalingrad broadside you load AP and either get pens on the 50 mm upper belt or 180 mm citadel armour belt, not SAP to get pens on the upper belt and nothing on the lower belt. And in that case, a Hindenburg has more alpha on shells, still 12 guns and less than half the reload. And Hindenburg can just burn the Stalingrad down when it isn't conveniently being offered broadside... And any belt thicker than 54 mm is basically immune to cits, spaced armour will just be your worst enemy. The ships would still be bad, because their armour loadout still is not offering something decent and WG screwed themselves over with SAP, because SAP cannot replace either ammunition as a worthwhile replacement, rather being a limitation. Whether it replaces HE and thus leads to a lack of universally applicable ammunition, or AP and thus causes the ships to have some absolutely garbage alpha capabilities, either way they'd be bad. Also, Genova is frankly the most terrible ship in the game, with no redeeming features at all and no consistent strength. The only ship that is even remotely comparable is the Montecuccoli that is about as bad, having not even the overmatch caliber (as Genova can at least load AP and overmatch same tier cruisers), but gets silly smoke at least. But compared to any other line, this is just horrendous. Emerald is solid compared to this crap and Omaha at least has good dpm. Krasny Krim is god-tier compared to Genova (and 1v1 will crap on Genova so hard...). And I highly doubt it'll get better later, because so far, my most notable encounters with Italian cruisers, short of citadelling the crap out of them, was a game in Thunderer, ignoring an Amalfi that kited me while SAP-spamming my ship and launching torps. I murdered its team, it did a grand total of like 38k damage with SAP, which sounds nice, till you figure out that this was over the course of multiple minutes in which any other ship would have forced me to actually deal with it with fires. And one game today in Molotov, getting into two 1v1s vs Trento and winning both times, because their effective dpm vs a bow-in ship was just terrible. And I don't care if someone (who thinks Venezia SAP is best Stalingrad counter) tells me that the ships later get better, these are fundamental mechanical restrictions that don't change and even Venezia will be hard-pressed to do much meaningful against bow-in cruisers, compared to other cruisers. None of these ships get a hydro, nor a defAA to bolster there absolutely atrocious AA, just 3 charges of a situational smoke that is useful, but in no way makes up for all the other crap.

    Thunderer also can get silly cits on GK at long ranges. Having played thunderer a good bit in the last few days, GK gets citpenned quite often. Like with Montana, I think it might be the combination of silly range and rather low shell velocity that makes them actually fall onto the deck. But could also be that the armour model is bugged. I once citpenned GK at 6 km through the superstructure...

    Emerald actually has a hydro, smoke, superb maneuverability to kill smaller ships and disengage if needed. also, it can farm from its smoke. But when dealing with large ships, I rather have an Emerald than a Trento, because on a broadside BB, Emerald has better dpm, on an angled BB you can still torp rush and Emerald is tanky enough to pull it off if you can take some overpens.

    since they made the cit deck 40 mm, can't say it's a terrible ship. It's an ok ship, imo, held back now by its lackluster guns. Would still take over Montecuccoli and genova any day of the week though and I did keep it from regrind of RN CL.

    Absolutely worst T5 cruiser in the game. Same tier, you can do ok with AP, SAP can nuke DDs if you hit them, but dpm is terrible, the torps are terrible, consumable loadout is terrible, tankiness is nonexistent. If you want a big gun cruiser, Furutaka is much better and free (as is Genova for the event, but not afterwards). Furutaka gets good HE, superb accuracy and actual armour, while the torps are also better. Emerald, for its ammo limitations gets a deadly torp armament, actually good armour for a T5 cruiser and a great consumable loadout. Frankly, I don't see the point of Genova, but then I consider most Italian cruisers kind of too limited, when I can outplay two Trentos in a Molotov, just by knowing how to angle and load HE.

    If you fight a GK within its secondary range and without means to avoid it getting to your flank, it can ruin anyone's day. Yet, the reliance on a tactic that is not meta and easily countered is what makes GK such an infamously lackluster ship and noone with any idea of high tier BB play would say GK is really powercreeping anyone in 2019. Which is the point why Ohio powercreeping Kremlin is silly, given that while Ohio is better than Kurfürst in most situations, the secondaries are not what makes the difference.

    Kremlin is for supreme tankiness, but still has a good main armament that is highly lethal. Thunderer has pretty lackluster tankiness, on a level with a T9, but its main armament is likely the overall best in the game short of BS like Slava. Ohio is good in tanking, main weaponry and secondary weaponry, but not excelling in any of these. How Ohio powercreeps the Kremlin is beyond me...

    Even with the amount of points capping generates, what keeps the CV from just flying ahead in the planes and moving the hull up, either spotting an enemy on the way to kill or capping to counter? The only thing to counter that is basically to set up something like epicentre that generates points so fast that whoever has the cap wins on points before a CV makes them die and where a cap flips too fast for reset. In which case, why the hell would CVs even be playable? And besides CVs, obviously there's the whole inter-class balance among the rest. It's just an overall mess.

    Do 100k consistently, lol. It's a T7, not some T10. Unless you are superunicum, settle for realistic goals please. More important imo is getting a positive WR, 55% or up. As for how, patience, controlled aggression. Learn when to push and when to kite. Gneisenau is good at either. Try to learn to look for opportunities to get in, kill something, get out (or if it was the only thing, move on). As you get to know the ship and get familiar with it, you learn what you can expect of her and what moves you can do and which ones will get you killed. Yes, the guns aren't incredibly reliable, but it should teach you to not count on them. And frankly, it's a valuable lesson, because you shouldn't count on the one-shot kill ever. Learned that in Thunderer the other day again, when I hit 8 out of 8 HE shells on a DD and it survived on a few hundred hp to torp me.
