    Admiral Makarov on fire?

Alive and well, apparently - https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2022/05/09/a-journalist-just-spotted-russias-admiral-makarov-frigate-intact-and-at-sea/?sh=21c3506937ca Although apparently the Black Sea fleet is getting a bit roughed up by Ukranian forces: https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2022/05/09/russias-black-sea-fleet-started-the-war-with-eight-raptor-patrol-boats-it-might-have-three-left/?sh=974868323c34 I would probably remind them of Nelson's advice about never attacking forts....

    cruiser lines

it depends, really. What do you *like* about those ships? Where do you want to play them? The Japanese ones are probably the most consistent - probably a little too consistent after a while - but from Tier V (where other lines get squishy) are quite strong and well-armoured, provided you avoid showing broadsides. American ones are gun boats, quite short ranged, but with high gun arcs for firing over islands. CLs have more damage potential, CAs are more survivable. German ones get very squishy at Tier V and VI but have good guns and lots of torps. The best cruiser line for PvE, in my opinion. Russian ones get really good gun range but are very squishy until you get to Tier IX and X, when they become SuperStronk. Don't over look the French and the British, either - the French one are speedy and versatile, the British CLs are squishy (but do a lot of damage) and the CAs quite strong.

Is it a joke ?? Questionnaire about Insurances !!

Not unless WG have collected some Personal Information as a result of the survey (i.e. some information which could individually identify each respondent) and not asked for consent/published a policy explaining how any colleced data will be handled. WG would probably say that the information collected is not personal (age, nation of residence, IIRC) and could not lead to anyone being identified. Most companies think that it's safer to get GDPR consent when collecting all surveys, though, as it's easier and safer as a business process.

Submarines interaction can´t get worse? Now on PTS..

I don't agree. You can say they should expect it, but what can they do about it? What spots submarines? Notser goes through the potential countermeasures in his video, and what is there? Hydro? Hope the sub misplays and runs out of dive capacity? It's a nonsense. WG needs to put hydrophones back, but with a realistic detection range which reduces the quicker a ship is going (to an effective zero detection range at full speed). This way defending ships have counter play, rather than getting nuked if a sub manages to arrive nearby outside of the defender's hydro window. The way it's current deployed is unbalanced, they've only done it that way to make subs feel like a class capable of dev striking opponents at will rather than something which might require player skill.

Submarines interaction can´t get worse? Now on PTS..

It's also worth saying that by 1943 the British had come up with their own "wolfpack" idea - squadrons of corvettes whose job it was to stake out known submarine transit routes to and from French submarine bases. Caused merry hell, too - HMS Starling's squadron sank fourteen U-boats in a year. There is an interesting sub mini-game/scenario in all that, but it's not something that could ever be in a PVP or PVE game. That type of co-operation is just not really possible. It is, but it's also their ability to turn up un-noticed and stick ten torpedoes into the side of an opponent. If a DD does that to you, you'll feel like you've misplayed or been fairly outplayed. With a submarine, you weren't given much of an opportunity to respond (at least not in their current iteration). I've seen the Notser video of him taking a sub through MID on Two Brothers and blapping Tier X cruisers who weren't even aware of a threat. He's probably the most WG friendly CC left and even he thinks it sucks.

IJN Light cruiser line in roadmap

A sort of reverse conversion to the one Mogami had? Sounds very reasonable. Germany seems to have acquired a *lot* of ships recently as well. But it's all good, everything looks playable and worthwhile. I'm interested to see the new designs!

Is it a joke ?? Questionnaire about Insurances !!

Easily done. So many great session players, you've heard them play but people don't recognise them! Certainly not one of them myself but it is my area of work.... My synths are mostly modules - Novation, Waldorf, Modal, IK Multimedia. I have a controller keyboard for them and I just plug in whatever I feel like playing. Software stuff is nice but I've never quite got my head around playing while working a mouse or a touchscreen!

Is it a joke ?? Questionnaire about Insurances !!

Depends on the effect. Digital Distortion, Fuzz and Overdrive = not that great. Digital Delay and Reverb = . And there are so many astonishing pedal makers about these days, it's unbelievable. Companies like JHS are off-the-scale good compared to what was around back in the day. But I do have some vintage things I bought back in the 80s which go for hundreds of pounds on Reverb... and no-one's getting their mitts on those.

Is it a joke ?? Questionnaire about Insurances !!

Ha, I'd like to but that would be divorce material. It's three guitars, two bass guitars, a shedload of vintage effects pedals and a collection of keyboards and synths. Nothing too valuable (if only...) but it's amazing how much you accumulate....

IJN Light cruiser line in roadmap

Indeed. Maya got her slow reload from 203mm Moggie, it's slower than Myoko and a complete downgrade. Not much fun. Well, we should tell WG loudly and frequently that... The 155mm version of Mogami should be available as Premium/Special ship if it's not staying in the IJN CL line and should be *given* to anyone with it unlocked, like GK/Kirov. If they are removing the 155mm version of Mogami but keeping the 203mm then they need to have a good look at it, cause it's not much fun to play. I hope they don't get too inspired by Yahagi because the ship is a dog - other than her torpedoes she has absolutely nothing to recommend her, most definitely *not* the guns, which are dreadful. I'm more into with a torpedo cruiser idea with good torp range and firing angles, and existing IJN hulls with CL guns and a bit more wiggle in the rudder shift. That will be just fine.

    Schnellboot S-100

It might be possible to use a CV type "squad" mechanic but the important thing is that the E-boats don't become a persistent source of torpedo spam, otherwise we'd just be repeating CV rework mistakes. Re-spawn is supposed to slow things down a bit.

Whoa it seems that ALL operations are returning!!

Ah, thanks for the memories! There's some happy gaming time right there.... and thanks for correcting my faulty memory. I'd forgotten completely - I'd also forgotten that Anthony was a British DD with DFAA (as if there was any point....)

IJN Light cruiser line in roadmap

Or an CL Furutaka. That's a fun idea, with the twin turrets where the single 203mms guns used to go on Furutaka's A Hull. And given that Japanese cruisers were able to drop a twin 203mm where a triple 155mm had been, you'd hope WG would have the nous to see the potential of an Aoba/Tone spin off, as well.

IJN Light cruiser line in roadmap

Removing Mogami in her 155mm incarnation would be very silly. She's a really fun ship to play. At worst, they take the precedent of the Russian cruiser split / German BBs and make her CL incarnation a Premium/Special ship (like Kirov and GK) which is available to anyone who has previously unlocked it in the Tech Tree, and have a go at tweaking her CA incarnation into something more fun (or just replacing it outright). They could even have a go at the hybrid Mogami from 1943...

Whoa it seems that ALL operations are returning!!

It's the theory of obscurity. If it takes so long to bring them back that no-one can remember how they played, it's effectively new content, comrades. I do wish they would bring Dunkirk back. I never quite understood how the CV argument stood with that Scenario, as I don't recall it having planes in it, to any significant degree. Am I wrong? I am quite optimistic about this, overall - if Subs have done anything good, its that they do seem to have made WG realise they have to sort out their in-game AI in order to put subs in. And subs are much more complicated from an AI perspective than CVs and aircraft. Perhaps they might even be able to balance higher tier scenarios?

    WW1+2 Naval Movie Clips

Of course, you wouldn't have much by way of footage from either of those events. But there is a photo of Glow-worm taken from Hipper, just before the ram. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Glowworm_(H92)#/media/File:Glowworm_deploying_smoke.jpg For actual WW2 footage, try this one.

    Schnellboot S-100

We have discussed them before. I think the only way they could work is if they were very fast but squishy, had powerful (but short range) torps in limited numbers and a multiple, but limited number of respawns in the game (rather like aircraft groups in RTS CVs). That respawn concept might be game breaking for some, of course.

If you could make up a ship...

Ah-ha. Japanese Light Cruisers Confirmed! https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/waterline-roadmap-update-spring-2022/ Japanese Light Cruisers By fall, we'll have added Japanese Tier V–X light cruisers for testing. Their concept is in development, but we can already safely say that all ships of the branch will have 610 mm torpedoes at their disposal, and their torpedo launchers will have wide aiming angles. As for their main batteries, the Tier V and VI ships will have 152 mm guns, the Tier VII ship will have 155 mm guns, and high-tier cruisers will carry 150 mm dual-purpose guns

If you could make up a ship...

That sounds rather like an IJN Roon. Which is not a bad idea, I have to say - but an IJN Cruiser with an AXY turret layout? Never seen one of those. Would also want some serious thought given to deck armour... kiting ships have a problem with so much SuperShip* TM over match about.
