Graf Zeppelin, most crap premium ship!

Oh there are worse ones than this. Cheshire! Poltava! Florida! But I know what you mean. The fun/unique things about it don't really make up for the deficiencies. Other CVs will bring better results with less stress.

    A practical approach to changes.

Sort of. How many times could you afford to run that signal set in the current game? In order to match/beat your current Free XP gain in the new system I would need to use the highest possible Free XP bonus (7200%). According to the Economic Calculator I will have 747 of those, post conversion. That's slightly more than the lowest number flags I have from your signal set (Leviathan, 732) so in the new system I can afford to run that Free XP set up more times than I can now. (And I'll make more XP - WG's calculator (although it has problems) tells me I'll make 10.5K Free XP rather than your 9171.)

Economy rework - Stat and feedback

They're not removing the +20% to credits, and I have to disagree with your maths. The Service Cost reduction is a fixed amount (Service cost of a Tier VIII Premium is 52,500, 50% of that is 26,250), whereas +45% to credits earned is clearly variable depending on....credits earned. Roma/Kobayashi will have a +45% to credits earned modifier post rework (although this figure includes the existing +20% to credits earned modifier) so you'd need to get over 105,000 credits in a game for your new +25% bonus to exceed the value of the old -50% reduction to service costs (Service Cost reduction = 26,250, +25% bonus based on 105,000 credits earned = 26,250). Earn more than 105,000 credits and you're making money - if you get 150,000 base credits then the value of the new 25% bonus is 37,500, or 11,250 more than at present).
  4. The default position to any opposition is Attrition, comrade.
  5. +1 for that, esp. as we no longer have Epicentre, which was a great source of Captured/Defended ribbons.

    The Gascogne Experience

Gascogne is OK. Could probably do with her 6 inch secondaries being given a buff with a reload time closer to 10 seconds but other wise does that French BB thing just fine.

    Atlantico Secondary Armament armor bug

Most RN CA turrets had 1 inch plating (25mm). The Town class cruisers did rather better but only on the face and roof... these are Treaty era turrets and they're very lightly armoured.

Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.

Gun Calibre. Marco Polo has 406mm guns which are more reliable and comfortable to play for many BB players than 380s with SAP or not. Roma actually has shell penetration which is good as Marco, although her gun calibre doesn't get her across the same armor thresholds as Marco's does. This is actually what makes Roma so darn frustrating to play, as - like Dunkerque - dispersion often means you score fewer hits, while her pen values often mean over pens rather than solid hits.

Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.

As the man said... huge nerf to citadels. But if they want to make an AL Impero, a Littorio-class with SAP, then fire away - I'd be in provided it's Roma with SAP, not Vittorio Veneto (which I don't like at all).

Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.

Older Premium ships did not have the "Balance changes may be applied to..." disclaimer against them, so they can't be changed unless global changes take place. Certainly not in a way like adding SAP, which (as a Roma owner), I don't want them to do.

Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.

And all the French Battleships, too. SAP wasn't in the game when Roma came out. And she's one of the older Premium ships that can't be changed, so they can't add SAP. Her dispersion issues are well known, the ship has been comprehensively reviewed by LittleWhiteMouse and other reliable reviewers. Caveat Emptor.

Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.

Trolling you with its dispersion. But it's a good, and fun ship. Best revisit your Captain build and go more heavily on Fire Prevention/Mitigation.

    New German BB line

I didn't like the VI or VII, tbh honest. Not at all memorable, but I played through them in Ops etc. I have a PEF so knew what I was in for - but Zieten (the Tier VIII) is a different kettle of fish altogether, and much more fun.

Heads up. New devblog about ec rework is up. Ugh....

That's a good question, actually, and it's not in any of the Dev Blogs listed so far. Doesn't look as if Tier IX and X's would be economically destroyed if their service costs weren't reduced, but it would be good to know.

Heads up. New devblog about ec rework is up. Ugh....

OK, but that's about service cost reductions only. DId you clock the rest of the explanation for that? Service cost reduction bonuses The service cost reduction bonus is at its core a bonus to credits, but its value depends greatly on the Tier of the ship it is used on. For example, the India Bravo Terrathree signal reduces the service cost by 10% and can be sold in the Inventory for 3,000 credits. The service cost for ships of Tiers lower than VII is less than 30,000 credits (for example, 23,000 for Tier VI), so instead of using this signal on these ships, it is actually more profitable to sell it. The necessity to check whether an economic bonus is worth using on a ship is a noticeable inconvenience of the current service cost reduction bonus. To simplify the system and increase the benefits for players, we decided to remove or replace this bonus. Service cost reduction bonuses on permanent camouflages will be replaced by an equivalent bonus to credit earnings, and at Tiers below IX, it will be noticeably more profitable. Also, the service cost of Tier IX and X researchable ships will be reduced, and the credit earnings in Co-op will be slightly increased.

Hiya I can see that there is a time-gated ability to buy smaller rather than larger bonuses but I can't see that all the bonuses themselves are timegated. Is there a reference for that? It's a pretty major point....

How can i refund Azure Lane Captains?

Ah. There's a life lesson. Don't use them in the game and wait for support to come back to you. And always, always, read the description. Don't forget the squeaky voiceovers! To be fair to the OP, clearly impractical and utterly unfeasible anatomy was not what they wanted, hence the request for a refund.

    Advice regarding the upcoming changes.

By all means, by sound investment I simply meant "value won't be wiped out as a result of the changes". And if I've misunderstood, by all means correct me - I don't know how I feel about this until I've worked out what's actually happening!

    Advice regarding the upcoming changes.

You still get under the new system what you would have got in the old one, plus more (if I've understood it all correctly, a permacamo today (-10% post battle service, +50%XP on a Tier VIII) will give you +5% credits and give +50% XP but also +50% CXP and +50% FXP. )

    Submarines: Thinking outside the box!

It's been discussed before, and it's not a bad solution (along with allowing subs to respawn) if they give the submarine a more realistic speed and allow other ships (especially DDs) to actually spot the submarines. The basic problems remain, though: WG are designing submarines like CVs - all action, no patience. Anything subtle is regarded as "too complicated for the average player" and anything which changes the game meta too much will upset all the people who excelled at the previous one. So it's not going to be popular.

    Advice regarding the upcoming changes.

Permacamos look like a sound investment, but why stockpile FXP? That shouldn't be in short supply. You're only likely to feel the pinch if you spend your days grinding Narai with all the economic flags on.

Would you get Atlantico for full T8 premium price?

I prefer her to Brandenburg. That extra turret is nice but BBurg is a proper chonker. Odin feels a little more cruiser, Graf Spee like. Anyway. I've now acquired Atlantico (through honest toil, not £££) and I think there's enough of an idea here for a line of Pan-American battleships. Slightly too many guns of a smaller calibre, heavy secondaries (of a British inspired nature, with lots of 6/7.5/9.2s) and perhaps some gimmick for Tier IX and X like a burst fire secondary mode. Good fun, though.

Heads up. New devblog about ec rework is up. Ugh....

Not at all, no. The "set" part of this is quite complicated but basically what you'll end up with is fewer, larger bonuses in respect of those Flags. For example... at the moment I have 4000 Papa Papa flags (+300% to Free XP) and 850 Ourobouros flags (+777% to Free XP)... I also have similar numbers of other Special signals which contribute to the maximum set bonus for Free XP (i.e. what you could get if you stacked five flags which give bonuses against XP and/or Free XP), which is then rounded up to the highest tier in the new system. So nstead of +777% being my max Free XP bonus, it's now +7200%, and I've got 750 of them.
