Nelson says Hi! as does KGV. You could always take out an RN DD into Co-op and just shoot everything that moves until it's on fire. It's not as effective as taking out a BB but equally you don't have to worry about doofus teammates and their inability to do anything useful, you just shoot stuff. That is a pest. Ops are a fun way of hitting these silly targets without spoiling everyone else's game.

Everyone seems to hate her, and she's being reworked, so presumably the stats aren't great overall. But I love those daft oversize French DDs, as much as I love their loopy Battleship designs, so I would like that one to be good. That's all!

This one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_destroyer_Hydra Italian design, goes like the proverbial ship off a shovell, capable of 40+ knots. Her guns aren't all that great (quite slow firing) but she'd gun down a Kami without too many problems. -

Notable ship but she's not even Tier I material. Honestly. Black Swan would marmalise it. A Tier V Black Swan would be good, though. HMS Amethyst (in the interests of international cooperation) along with its medal winning cat, Simon. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_(cat) (edit) Having thought about this a bit more I'm probably being unkind, as both Samuel B Roberts and Black Swan have the power of Tier V DDs and more than capable armament, but are just too darn slow to fit in the game comfortably. A sort of Sims/Monaghan hybrid might work - Monaghan's guns, Sims' long range sea mines, decent AA but you'd get rushed too often for it to be fun. -

Nah. I just charged my GC into the centre of a Big Race Epicentre game and sank four Tier IV and V destroyers while dodging the attentions of two Tier IV CVs. If I hadn't decided to YOLO a Kami R (kill number 4, with my secondaries, trololololo) I could have picked off the others battleships at will. And that's the real problem with GC - she doesn't need a good player or captain to shine. If you suck (relatively speaking, so around 45K average damage in this ship) then the MM will put you up against Tier IV opponents which is just pure sealclubbing evil. -
You may be right, tbh - the Canadians fill in several gaps in the Aussie line (Tier V, especially) and vice versa. We might have to wait for WG to get around to Pan-American DDs before we get any new new designs. Very Royal Navy. What have we got lying around, lads? And definitely yes to other nations - you could easily get two distinct lines out of the Aussie and Canadian ships from these classes. There are plenty of historic ships in these lines for RN Premiums, though - a Hardy in five gun Narvik pew pew pew mode would be good at Tier V, Cavalier at VII with her small set of Tier IX guns, and perhaps a quirky choice like Lance - Lightning's little sister with eight 4" guns and much better AA than the usual RN stock

I had to look it up: R, S, V, W, Shakespeare, Scott, Ambuscade, Amazon, A*, B, C, D, E*, F,* G*, H**, I*, J, K, L*, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, Z, Ca*, Weapon, Battle, Daring, Tribal, Town, Hunt. That makes 48 different types of RN Destroyer in WW2. Presumably there are a few more from the list to come.....

The slow torps now go over 10k and are a bit faster and a bit more punchy, the mid torps are now 7k and have a short stealth fire window. I bought her at the weekend, hilarious ship and a bargain.

Never. There is a near infinite number of clone ships possible. I worked out that Clemson class destroyers served in four in-game navies so we could have those, followed by the endless variations of RN DDs (flotilla leaders, AA ships, then there are Canadian ones, Australian ones, Greek ones with German guns, Dutch ones with floatplanes, Surf Uffrican ones, Norwegian, Polish, Indian, Pakistan, Brazilian and Argentinian ones)....

The problem is that new designs means that WG have to get archive access (not always easy) and spend more time modelling and testing than they do with more closely related ships. There are plenty of interesting designs lurking in the RN, Italian, French, Russian, Dutch, Swedish and Pan American navy lists and I'm sure they'll all turn up eventually. However.. I don't have a problem with clone ships being in the game if they offer radically different experiences. Scharnhorst, Krasny Krym, Monaghan all play very differently to their silver sisters and there are plenty more out there. Cossack and Haida, too...

They could try removing the last Hotfix and the RN Cvs, which have broken the meta (again) over the last few days. We're back to ineffective AA as we were at launch.

I have acquired Nelson for this purpose, and for the Heroic achievement bit later on. She seems ideal for the task and was free (CV Rebate XP). -

Notser has an RU BB video when that happens. Unfortunately. He, Flamu and Flambass also have several videos where they park their BB up near or between islands and make like a fort: bow in, front guns only, almost invulnerable. Bow is almost impossible to pen, deck is too stronk for cruiser fire, superstructure is small and gets saturated quickly. Unless CV bombs are an effective counter, this is a line of ships which is going to be a massive headache to counter unless they are played really badly. -

The Exeter marathon this weekend was an extended exercise in misery. Poor old IJN destroyers are not in a happy place at the moment. No AA, nerfed torpedo flood chance, compared to other lines they just feel flabby and slow.. Add to that the ever higher numbers of cvs and no fun was had. Still, I completed the entire Fly! Strike! Win! set without difficulty. Or even thinking about it. -

A big yes from me to more manual AA control. An AA boost which affects attack dispersion would be best as that would be of more use to smaller and more nimble ships. The CV would still have their planes but they would be more likely to miss or fail to score a significant hit

All they need to do is to move the GC and compensate owners to such an extent that such fixes become very expensive to WG. This will reassure the community that they're not going to do such things lightly and focus WG's own internal processes on not letting such ships onto the live server. -
