    More dd's really??

There will be plenty of crying about these ones. Concealment isn't great, guns hit hard but are slow, the super torps are only on the IX and X and none of them have any smoke.
  2. I think she's one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M89-class_destroyer
  3. I'm not sure about subs in randoms. They should try designing some convoy escort Ops - Operation Pedestal or any of the larger Atlantic convoys, so that the defending ships have to protect some relatively slow moving vessels. Realism is always going to be an issue and subs would probably need an unrealistic surface cruising speed in order to allow them to get around the map.... but then we can accept destroyers shooting straight while hard over at 35 knots, so why not? To avoid the CV farrago they should balance it around four tiers of destroyer/escort + escort CV, and four types of sub + e-boats.
  4. If it's anything like Icarus, it's 2.4k. So he fired while the BB was less than 2.4k away and got spotted, and that meant he stayed spotted for 20 seconds.

    Exeter - Last stage

Success! Stage Four was taking an eternity, and then a Charlie Martel came round a corner without due care or attention (and with his guns pointing in the wrong direction). Hilarity ensued.
  6. Ah, I thought she was some proposed upgrade of the Clemson class USS Nicholas....
  7. Are there paper ships in the USN DD line? Doesn't seem to be any need for that, given that they had more DDs than everyone else, ever.
  8. Mogador didn't work very well - Kleber was intended to fix the issues (most particularly with her electrical generators, which were woefully underpowered and hampered turret traverse and the like). She's a well documented improved Mogador and a perfect fit for Tier X, IMHO.

    Exeter - Last stage

They should have made this stage 10 citadels and the preceding one 2 x 3 kill games in random. That rewards skill, not twisting the MM and desperate YOLO CL runs in co-op.

Ok, I wasn't going to do this....

Blyska? 42 knots and looks like a DD to me....

    Exeter - Last stage

Is that like the Swedish BB Wallander, which moops around at the back for most of the battle and then defeats everyone all at once?
  12. Me neither. They're not that fast, below Le Fantasque; Aigle seems quick but she's only 36 knots and even with Speed Boost that's not quite fast enough to be notable. I would expect them to go with smoke below T7, once the testing begins.
  13. French Destroyers? A full line of 'em? With No SmokeBut MBRB and Spood Beast?........................

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

No, we lost because Capt. Doofus didn't get his ship back to the exit zone in time. We lost by a nose, as they say in horse racing.

    Exeter - Last stage

The seventh achievement is not coming, but I've nearly ground enough XP for Lightning and I'm enjoying the games, so it's all good. :)

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

I will take that over "team mates are obsessed with secondary objectives and fail to win at all". Today's margin was three seconds. The guy's bow was on the the end zone line when time ran out.

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

Parking up in the end zone is a good idea. It means an immediate victory if your allies are destroyed and there are fifth wave enemies which spawn on top of the end zone and are easy kills for someone already there.

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

Either is fine, players just need to be executing the same strategy. The most important thing is not stay or go, but shoot the cruisers. The two BBs needed for the secondary mission are Tier III and IV - any BB can kill them with impunity, provided they're not being HE spammed to death by Kolbergs.

They've changed that, the sneaky swine. https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/sales-and-events/march-missions-2019/

    Spanish Ships

Is that confirmed? Vg if so.

Exeter easiest to aim for achievements ?

It's just sink three ships, not three ships in one game. You've got a week to do this, btw.

Exeter easiest to aim for achievements ?

First blood and Dev strike, generally. Icarus or Jervis should be a good source of those. Close Quarters expert should be easy enough to get with a BB - presuming you get near the target with all those frantic DDs.

    Spanish Ships

Certainly true that there is only one Tier III BB available but there are some decent ships to add: http://navypedia.org/ships/spain/sp_dd_churucca.htm http://navypedia.org/ships/spain/sp_dd_oquendo.htm and an RN designed heavy cruiser http://navypedia.org/ships/spain/sp_cr_canarias.htm

    How does Skill effects WR?

1 to 1.5 out of 3, for the reasons already explained. Good, but not great.
