    Update 0.4.1 General Feedback

    Just want to point out, that I've had multiple games today and yesterday, where blue line hogging was quite an issue. Both for me and other players. Whatever you did to try to fix it, it didn't work.

    Nachdem ich jetzt auch ein paar Fahrten mit den 203mm gemacht habe und mit den 155 @ 18km Reichweite, muss ich sagen, dass ich schon verstehen kann, wieso die 155ger beliebter sind. Sprich: die 203er sind einfach ne Qual und ich ärger mich momentan richtig über die rausgeworfenen Credits. Komisch nur, dass ich auf der Myoki besser mit denen klar komme. Liegt aber auch vielleicht an den niedrigeren Gegner-Leveln, auf die man so trifft.

    Not shure if it fits here, as there weren't any changes of those aspect that I'm aware of but the AA and the range of IJN cruisers still seem odd: Myoko Mogami 155mm Mogami 203mm Ibuki AA 3km 166 130 130 186 AA 5km 19 26 26 18 AA Combined 185 156 156 204 AA Rating 41 48 48 44 Range Stock 16,1 16,4 13,7 15 Range Full 16,1 18,1 15,1 16,5 Diff AA -15,68% 0,00% 30,77% Diff AA-Rating 17,07% 0,00% -8,33% Diff Range Stock 1,86% -16,46% 9,49% Diff Range Full 12,42% -16,57% 9,27% As you can see you loose 15% of your combined AA damage when you switch from the Moyko to the Mogami, even though the AA Rating improves by 17%. Then when you switch to the Ibuki you gain 30% combined AA damage but loose 8% rating again. The Mogami does gain 7 AA damage at 5km but as it faces stronger planes this doesn't seem to have much effect. The Range also seems odd: Going from the Myoko to the Mogami you gain 1,86% range (if your captain has the skill that increases it), which even increases to 12,42% when you upgrade the fire control. Once you install the 203mm guns you loose ~16% range compared to the Myoko, which has the same 203mm guns installed. You do regain some range with the Ibuki (which ends up being able to fire 400 meters further) than the Myoko, but even it has considerable less range than an upgraded 155mm Mogami. Even the Zao at Level 10 can't fire as far the 155mm Mogami and even looses some range compared to the Ibuki. Now, all this might be on purpose. The smaller AA damge makes sense for the Mogami to counter its very high 155mm range (make it more vulnerable against planes) However I'd suggest buffing the Mogamis AA to around 190@3km and decreasing its 155mm range to around 13km (with the skill) while also giving its 203mm an upgraded range of 16,2. Then things might be little bit more balanced. The Mogami could skill play flamethrower at medium ranges but there would actually be a reason to upgrade to the 203mm -edit- of course you'd also have to take a look at the Atago, which might need a slight range bump as well

    I wonder why they don't just give the Mogami a range upgrade with the 203mm turrets. Max range of 15.x is nothing at that tier. I don't have many games in it yet, but I really hate the 155mm ones. Can't citadel at long range against equal / higher tier enemies, nor burn them fast enough at medium ranges before they get a chance to take out large chunks of my health. Also they get destroyed quite easily already, so I just hope I can upgrade, before the patch makes it even worse. -edit- too late, patch is downloading

    Muss ich mir ja erstmal erspielen. Hab die erst seit kurzem und da ich die Myoko nicht verkauft habe, dauert es eh noch was, bis ich die voll ausgerüstet habe. Grad das 10% Tarnungsupgrade sieht sehr verlockend aus. Wie nah muss man denn Erfahrungsgemäß mit den 155gern ran, bis es sich bei CAs ab Tier 7 aufwärts lohnt auf AP zu wechseln (vernünftiger Winkel vorausgesetzt)? Vorhin ne Pensacola, die auf ~3km hinter ner Insel hervor kam, mit AP zersiebt, das hat schon Spaß gemacht ;)

    Mogami

    Hab die Mogami jetzt ein paar Tage und muss sagen, dass ich nicht wirklich begeistert bin. In der Myoko kann ich fast jeden feindlichen Kreuzer mit 1 - 2 guten AP-Salven ausschalten, bevor sie mir großen Schaden zufügen (realistisch gesehen sind es ein paar mehr aber theoretisch könnte ich ;) ) und es war weniger Glück als Skill-Abhängig. In der Mogami habe ich das Gefühl, dass viel weniger persönlicher Skill sondern viel mehr Spray & Pray involviert ist. Zumal man ja auch auf besser geschützte Gegner trifft, was den kleineren Kaliber der Waffen nochmal schwerer liegen lässt. Aber vielleicht gewöhne ich mich ja noch dran oder sie wird mit Upgrades besser.

    Well, it depends on how high the land they fly over is. If its a beach and they torpedo directly after being over water, I got no problem with it (ignoring the fact, that the torpedo might run aground if dropped in too shallow water, but as you said: it is a video game). If it is a narrow valley between two mountain-islands they should have to fly inside the valley to be able to drop their torpedos. Like this: X | Y | X X | T | X X | Y | X X = no torpedo drop possible Y = torpedo drop possible T = Target ship | = shoreline inside the valley -edit- removed background colours from the valley

    Yes, but those bombers still had to flight level for some time before dropping their load. Currently they can drop 500meters in height and directly send their torpedos away. This might have been technical possible in reality but I doubt it was practical.

In my last game I was driving very close (should have been around or less than 500m) to an island with a steep hill, when a squadron of bombers appeared over the island, did a little dive and torpedoed me. I didn't see any drop animation whatsoever but it felt like they must've dropped their torpedos directly after their dive, while still being above the island. Well, either that or the player in that CV was very skilled in "gaming" the current system.
