How many premium subs do you expect to see in the next year?

Had to look this up as the first announcement of Subs was 2 years ago, doesn't feel like it due to Covid this was when they announced the 2 'current' lines of subs for the USN and Germany (However there was a line of Soviet subs also Data mined). With this announcement there was already a load of Premium subs shown as I managed to find images for: As you can see 1 for USN, Germany, USSR and IJN.
  2. That is actually not a bad ship, though I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it, got it from completing the KotS collection. This is after 29 battles in it:
  3. I bet on it being California

0.10.10: Makarovs instead of supercontainers for TX ships

I got mine out of the way with one of my T10 Super Container gifts last month... I was so happy...
  5. Well ignoring the mistake of only mentioning half the torpedoes that Kitakami had, considering the ship is still in the client files and the fact that the new PA T10 cruiser has 10 13.5km Deep Water Torps per side with a Torpedo Reload Booster (essentially making it able to drop 40 13.5km Deep Water torps at once) I think it is very likely that Kitakami will be realised at some point though I think they are having an issue with balancing the ship because it is such a 1 trick pony as it is out gunned by basically all DDs so out side the torps it has almost no other armaments. Also considering they removed team damage has also made the ship being added more likely.

    Kurfurst gets removed

Tashkent is a much better ship than Khaba nowadays, in my Khaba I can barely get 20k Damage, Tashkent regularly over 80k, mostly because it has 2km more range on the guns thus making it able to engage large targets without first being spotted by the enemy DD before it can even get in range, mind you your probably just better off playing French DDs anyway as they just do the job better and are more versatile. This is why I kept my 19 point captain on Tashkent and just use a 10 point one on Khaba for gifts and snowflakes.

Closed test of the new map (DB 233)

God I barely remember that map as I only got to the tiers that played that map not long before it's removal.
  8. This is true as I faced one on the PTS and it used smoke.
  9. Couldn't find the Post dedicated with the link to the announced stats of the ships so thought it should be at least linked here: https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/220 Also with regards to the Rahmat it seems to come with 2 gun options the stock 133mm guns and upgraded 113mm guns, however this is tied to the hull which is a shame as both guns have very different options in how you can build the ship. Watched Flamu's video on the new PA ships which is where it was found that there are 2 gun options linked to the hull upgrade thus I decided to do a direct comparison on the 2 options. Flamu didn't show the stock HE Shells Fire Chance so had to use the RN 133mm BB secondaries for the value and they match the other gun characteristics, the 113mm guns match the Ark Royal secondaries and they were the values given on the Dev Blog anyway. 133mm Reload 7s 1900 HE 2550 AP 18s turn time 792m/s 8% HE DPM = about 162,857 AP DPM = about 218,571 6.9 FPM Base HE Pen 23mm IFHE HE Pen >28mm 113mm Reload 5.2s 1600 HE 2100 AP 9s turn time 746m/s 7% HE DPM = about 184,615 AP DPM = about 242,308 8.1 FPM Base HE Pen 19mm IFHE HE Pen >23mm It definitely would be nice if this was not linked to the hull as the 133mm option does seem to give some interesting options with regards to trading fire damage for pen damage with it being able to pen T6 and 7 BBs and penning even Baltimore at T8. @YabbaCoe Could this feedback for separating the gun options from the hull and to have them as a separate research like on the Ernst Gaede and Mogami be passed on. As this will give much more variety in build options for the ship and would make it an interesting ship for players to keep that can also be used in Scenarios as the different guns are sort of like a side grade than a straight upgrade.

    New line

Did a comparison on the different guns performance.

I prefer it to CAMPING BATTLE (Standard Battle)

    New line

They have probably linked the Improved AA with the switching of the guns, though both are dual purpose mounts, I agree that it should be a gun option rather than linked to the hull, like; Mogami, Romulus, Ernst Gaede, Bogatyr and Furutaka (before they removed the single guns option). Shame that WG don't like ships that can be customised with what modules you upgrade (in terms of guns) to give playstyle alternatives, as it ruins their sacred Calibre progression... Surprised that they haven't removed the Mogami's 155mm guns yet, maybe they realised that would piss off a tonne of players if they did that then release it as a premium...
  13. Chaos_Umbra

    New line

From the looks of it the stock hull has the 133mm guns and when you upgrade the hull you get the 113mm ones you can see when he selects the hull the Artillery score drops and the AA increases, will be interesting to see when the ships are allowed to be fully previewed as to what the differences in the gun performance actually are as the Dev Blog only gives the top configuration with the 113mm guns.

Closed test of the new map (DB 233)

That was exactly my thoughts when I saw the map image, mind you I remember having some good fun games on that Old map so I don't mind the similarities too much.

ST 0.10.10, superships characteristics. (DB 231)

Dunno why the Yamagiri has a choice between the standard 12km torps and the useless 20km ones that only idiots use, would have made more sense for the other torp selection to be the F3s or some Deep Water ones...

Anniversary stream announcements, guess the ship

Surprised that it is coming as a separate nation rather than in the Pan EU 'nation' as I thought the Spanish were unable to afford new ships due to recovering from Civil War at the time...

Ways of distribution of new ships (DB 218)

Earliest would be next patch, as so far I have not seen a ship with the SOON tag be available until it was removed and the patch in which it was removed has always coincided with the ship release.

Ways of distribution of new ships (DB 218)

Only Unreleased ship that has lost the SOON tag this patch was the Kearsarge, so Tulsa and Gibraltar both not being released this patch.

Ways of distribution of new ships (DB 218)

Seems Kearsarge is arriving earlier as on the extended Tech Tree mod it no longer has the SOON tag whereas Tulsa still does, though you are right that getting that much coal that fast is impossible unless you buy it in bundles in the armoury, though at that point they will probably also just sell them for Doubloons which would probably be cheaper than buying the Coal.
  20. That's why I said it looks like some of the stats listed are incorrect or typos.
  21. Was comparing the new T10 DD to Tashkent and it seems to not be much of an upgrade TBH if anything it is a downgrade in some aspects. Improvements - HP pool is 900 HP higher - Rudder is 1s faster - Speed is 1knot faster - 0.9km better concealment - plus 2km on torp range and launches 1 more torp in a full salvo - Better AA - Shells are 50m/s faster Downgrades - Turning circle 30m larger - Air concealment 3.2km worse - Torpedo reload 45s longer a 50% increase - HE alpha 100 lower with the same reload and same number of turrets - Turret turn time is more than double 18.6s compared to 9s - Gun range is 1.18km shorter with the same max dispersion Well it is subject to change and there was an obvious typo in the Dev Blog where it says the long range AA accuracy is 63 which is the same as the damage and clearly incorrect so there might be other mistakes there like either the gun range or max dispersion (unless the much worse dispersion is due to the increase in shell speed).
  22. Back then Zao was actually rather tanky as it was one of the few cruisers with at least a 30mm deck (Des Moines, Hinden Henry etc all only had 25-27mm decks). All T10 Cruisers got the deck buffed to at least 30mm (Minotaur excluded) thus allowing them to bounce shells smaller than Republique's which was part of the idea as it made the larger calibre BBs a bit more different than the 406mm armed ones, but as I said there was only 2 T10 BBs at the time that could bypass this armour so the armour actually did something. Now that more than half the T10 BBs have guns bigger than Republique's this extra armour is now made pointless and with the removal of old Tech Tree BBs armed with 406mm guns this problem only gets worse. Yes CLs got screwed over the most (especially T7 ones) and the quoted idea was to make IFHE not mandatory, well all it really did in that regard is limit the options on CAs so that they won't run the skill (remember the old IFHE Henry?) and made it so even running IFHE on T7 CLs meant you still couldn't damage T8 ships. In fact so did ships with 21mm armour such as Gearing, Graff Zeppelin and Audacious also got hit negatively by the change as 127mm DD guns now penned them as WG only cared that BBs were not effected by the changes. 457mm guns have little effect in BB vs BB engagements as the biggest advantage they give is the 30mm overmatch, point out a BB at T10 that has 30mm plating then? Sure the 457s have more pen but you still need to shoot broadside targets and 406s do the job of penning Broadsides perfectly well. 508s have no extra effect against cruisers (well they might actually be better as they would be more likely to overpen...) so the only ships effected would be BBs as there will be another Yamato like ship to watch out for.
  23. Montana moved to RB Ohio moved to tech tree I thought the reason Cruisers were given the 30mm armour was to give them a little protection against BBs other than Yamato and Republique, this change has now been completely undone with the massive influx of 457mm armed BBs, before it was only 2 out of 5 BBs that overmatched it (@T10), now it is only 6 BBs out of 14 that don't overmatch 30mm and one of those mostly slings HE anyway and the other SAP. Is there going to be a cruiser rework where all decks are buffed to 32mm now?
  24. Why the constant T10 BB gun calibre inflation? Are there too many Cruisers in the game and not enough BBs?
  25. Chaos_Umbra

    Kurfurst gets removed

Clearly WG don't think there is an issue with T10 BB calibre inflation! There must be far too many pesky cruiser in the Que and a lack of BBs because there are a few BBs that don't overmatch them everywhere...
