It will probably have the 1918 Hull stock and upgrade for the better AA, just like the Bayern except this refit isn't a fantasy.

Well the low tier German DDs have 2 different reloads on the Torpedoes, 1 for the twin launchers and 1 for the single launcher, so it is definitely within the bounds of the game to have 2 different reloads on the Main armament, but caliber might be a different issue altogether.

Isn't there a preserved Fletcher class DD in Athens which would be even easier for WG Also there is a Heavy cruiser preserved there that fought in both world wars and Soloed the Ottoman Empires fleet, I think that would be a much better Premium for a Greek ship.

British battleships incoming

I'm not too sure on that, seems that WG are still not fully decided seeing as the tier 8 has no special consumable, the tier 9 has both plane types and sonar in the same slot and the tier 10 is the only 1 that has radar. Most have short gun range except the tier 10 which is at a crazy and pointless range of over 29km. Some are really stealthy but others not so the high tiers at least have in common good belt armor, low HP and very good rudder shift. As it seems the leak was earlier than expected for WG I think they are still trying out a lot of things. Personally I think they don't need a special consumable, make the stealthy maneuverable ships with relatively good armor but low HP but with a better heal which WG are already trying out on some of the ships. -
Had the same thing happen once on that map except worse Enemy had 4 DDs 3 Mahan and one Minekaze, while on my team there was me in my Mahan, a T22 and a Kamikaze... that was so balanced NOT! Obviously was a loss even though I took 2 of the Mahan with me.

For me It's gotta be the Emanuele Filiberto Duca d'Aosta partially because the name is so long, but mostly because I like the speed and the agility of it allows you to get into positions that the enemy never expects you, great counter to DDs and really punishes Broadside Cruisers at close range while being able to Kite BBs easily. Got a 73.9% Win Rate to boot

Been having random game freezes for the last few months, and adjusting settings does nothing, every time I cannot access Task Manager as it is always behind the game overlay, so the only option is to restart. But with this patch I even had it Crash and was unable to bring up anything even with Ctrl Alt Delete, had to hard power off. Meant I insta Died in my Edinburgh... Expensive. Also had it crash in operation Newport but managed to restart the PC login again and survive... won surprisingly.

Maybe they are trying out different consumables on different ships to see what fits best as it is still in early testing, would explain the inconsistencies with the Tier 9 having Hydro and Tier 10 Radar.

German Aircraft Carrier Graf Zeppelin
Chaos_Umbra replied to TheGreatandMightlyDave's topic in General Discussion
As the Graf Zeppelin was never finished WG will put Horten Ho 229s on it -
Anyone say tier 8 heavy MM?
-
Lol the Duca D'Aosta is one of the best tier 6 cruisers around topping in speed and maneuverability while having stealth torping capabilities and really good AP at 10km against broadside cruisers, heck it eats Kuzutovs for breakfast, if you can't bring out the best in it it's your fault not the ship it has all the potential to stop itself being deleted, heck it has one of my highest win rates only beaten by a few ships I own. And it is capable at tier 8 you just have to pick your fights well and always be on the move.

Had a New Mexico TK me yesterday because the rest of the team sucked... he got the winning kill for the enemy by deleting my Marblehead... not my problem was second on the team with most kills and 78k damage. Just happened to be the target of that guys frustration for some reason. So it isn't only a torpedo issue in this game though they are most prevalent, even nearly got torpedoed by a Scharnhorst while in the Fuji because I maned up and went for a point blank torpedo strike on a HE spamming Bayern...
-
Dunno what OP is complaining about being detonated by a torpedo in the Warspite... yesterday my full HP Bismarck was detonated from 1 torpedo that clipped the stern

I would rather have HMS Maori personally, as I have scuba dived the wreck in Valletta Harbor

Isn't this just a re-skinned C hull Nurnburg with Stalinium Ammunition.
-
The grind is not as bad now as the old A hull had a weak point under the turrets that was a guarantied citadel, now you just have to put up with sub par penetration until you get the B hull, was disappointed myself moving from the Fuso but you get used to not getting as reliable Salvos with the reduced number of guns.
-
Strange I much preferred it to the Nagato that gets Citadeled even when angled, seems to do no damage most of the time and turns worse, except the lack of speed I found the Colorado did very reliable damage more so than the other Tier 7 BBs and was just below the Germans on survive-ability, maybe I am a bit biased as I had to grind through the old A hulls on both and the Nagato's was much worse than the Colorado's.
-
Got the New Orleans and MM can be a pain but I actually like the ship, put the rudder shift modules on and you get it down to 3.4s and those BBs can rarely hit you. Main problem is the lack of carriers as I specked mine for AA.
-
I think it is worse for CA/CL as the higher number of not only BBs, but DDs at T10 drag up T8 CA/CLs, meanwhile the Proliferation of Tirpiz at T8 and previously Bismarcks drag T6 CLs up to this higher tier.

Duca d'Aosta (Impressions) Share your thoughts!
Chaos_Umbra replied to PhantomSailor's topic in Archive
Except the Leander is more stealthy and has smoke and heal, but I agree that the current gun range is sufficient. -
Had 3 drop until the end of November, then nothing since, RNGesus hates me.

I really enjoy it, rushed an Atlanta and heavily punished it's broadside (7 citadels). To do well in the ship it requires good use of islands to get to a good engagement range <10km that's where it shines against Cruisers and Destroyers. The main thing that kills the ship is the Constant tier 8 matchmaking and the over population of Battleships. So far I have only taken Citadels when I have been caught broadside, but what Cruiser isn't punished then, it has great speed and maneuverability making it easy to withdraw when you get to close and focused by Battleships making it very hard for them to land good shots. Haven't got CE on it yet but that will make it much easier to play. -
Only this year have weekend specials excluded tiers 8-10 (except that 1 that included the Yamato) makes me even less likely to grind above tier 7.

Maybe earn credits for actually winning, for myself I tend to earn more with losses than with wins.

Calling Cruiser Captains! A Question...
Chaos_Umbra replied to Drunken_Jedi's topic in General Discussion
I went Concealment on my IJN Cruisers, but have gone full rudder shift on the New Orleans which is down to 3.4s which makes dodging BBs much easier and easier to rush DD smokes as torps are no problem.
