Well I have just got to recommend the Duca D'Aosta the only good Italian Cruiser that isn't Gimmick'd to hell, cause you can pull of this in operations...
-
Yeah you take it as your second 4 point skill (depending on the line your playing), for me it tends to be the last skill I get as I can just use my brain for getting most info, RPF just gives you more information to further your awareness of the tactical situation on the map.

Albemarle - worst ship in the game? advice needed.
Chaos_Umbra replied to GulvkluderGuld's topic in General Discussion
The heal is just a band aid, these things are much easier to dev strike than other cruisers bar the RN CLs when they are open water gun boating... actually I think some of those are more tanky in the open for example the Edinburgh. Surrey's Citadel is mostly below water with only the central part above and even then it isn't much above, Albermarle has the lower level of the citadel at the highest point of the Surrey's one with a further massive stepped bit making it one of the tallest citadels in the game thus a lot more easier to hit especially considering it has worse stealth and a worse rudder shift. So what part of 'if you can keep it a float' relates to it being tanky? In fact I preferred playing the old Pensacola over the Albemarle cause it had better survivability due to the thin profile and very fast rudder shift actually allowed you to dodge incoming fire. -

I wasn't referring to the guns at all, I was likening the ships ability to bounce incoming fire to the Neptune's by saying it needs to be played like a Neptune with the smoke removed i.e. behind an island and un-spotted... So much for the Tanky Cruiser Line... Anyway since I posted that comment it was buffed now you can potentially bounce 380mm shells when angled!!! -

It will be your downfall into the Google abyss... -
What makes them good is that the cone narrows to a point so that if you drop well you can basically always land all torps, Audacious gets 3 per drop just so you know, while Haku only has 2 per drop.

Actually all the RN CVs got the same nerf that Gearing got they now all get penned by 127mm HE as they were entirely coated in 21mm at T10 and mostly at T8, so now they are just as weakly armoured (or more weakly armoured in the case of T10 Decks) than the other CVs (this change also effected the GZ, funny how WG made sure to up all the T6-7 BBs armour by 1mm but not CVs or the Gearing...

Actually having the Massachusetts secondaries at a tier lower will only make them more potent as they will be able to pen more ships on average. -

I see they just don't want you to play ships below tier 8 for the next few weeks instead... -

Chaos_Umbra replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Wait so they release a new line and have an associated campaign for it but you have to have already grinded to tier 8 in the line for most of the tasks on the day of release... WG clearly wanted you to spend money last patch to skip 70% of the new content added... -
WoWs economy - how fast and how much FreeXP can you earn (in view of 2.000.000 FreeXP price for the upcoming Tier X EU DD "Smaland")?

I am now tending to use the World of Warships Anniversary camos as I have over 200 of them and they give a 100% bonus to xp and 100% bonus to free xp. -
The rentals - which did you like?
Chaos_Umbra replied to NothingButTheRain's topic in General Discussion
Even with that the detection is still worse than the tech tree torps, then you have the worse guns and stealth still, while having to also waste 2 captain points on TA for this specific ship (guess it would fit Asashio too but I hate that ship's existence). -
The rentals - which did you like?
Chaos_Umbra replied to NothingButTheRain's topic in General Discussion
Well was only really buying the credit ones for the captains but I did confirm that the Lenin is ridiculously strong and the Yudachi's torps are the most worthless things in the game if you want to do damage in them, they are purely there for area denial, so it is a good thing the Guns and stealth are good... wait they were worse than the Tech tree ship, well that is the reason I completely avoided even considering getting the ship when first released and this just confirmed it (Mind you I did top games in it, though mainly cause the enemy was really bad and let me get away with murder like out gunning a Skane or Mahan...). Owned most of the ships anyway, though I have 2 more to Rent which I don't so I will try them out today. -
Interesting we went: GZ Bismarck/Tirpitz Hipper/Baltimore Kidd Kidd worked really well.
-
You were clearly doing the T8 wrong, you needed a Full Secondary Graf Zepplin only lost 3 out of 20 games played
-
Yes I do as a matter of fact play my Leander, Fiji and Edinburgh on occasion, and that is just one line where I kept ships to play when I feel like it, particularly T6-7 ships as the games at those tiers are more fun the teams are less filled with idiots that failed their way to tier 10 and just stay there somehow having fun despite loosing 60% of the time while making every match a campfest, where as at tier 6 the gameplay is much more fluid and the level of play is so much better.
-
I would imagine it would be as they have already set the bar with the Smalland....
-
Not really cause all I have to do to have a fun game in lets say the Leander is select it in port and take it into battle, no need to reset the entire line and then have to grind up to it and then re upgrade it... And all you need to do to get the Research Points is win 1 coop game in the ship which further shows that the entire idea was to be a Free XP, Credit and Money sink. Nothing at all about making the lower tiers more popular, especially as the rewards are T10 content...
