    Ironically in our Clan Battles against them the ship that seems to wreck them the most is our Yoshino player who always seems to citadel them with AP from weird angles that even he doesn't understand how it happens...

    You were talking about needing range in a Brawl, sure it can limit your options in a long range engagement, but if you want to fight at range there are much better BBs to pick from for that, and unlike the Republique which also has a legendary that reduces the range the GK has a spotting aircraft thus getting round the issue of not enough range... I have the legendary and don't run it mainly due to the Turret traverse de-buff, but mainly cause the standard Auxiliary armament mod had a better buff for the secondaries and now that that also buffs the AA is a nice side addition, considering I don't run a fighter thus making me even less likely to pick the Legendary Upgrade. And before anyone says that the tank build is more competitive, if I wanted to play a standard tank build BB there are much better BBs available to play in that role, what's wrong with playing some of them differently?

    I just wish MMM was banned, I don't like being focus fired all the time despite not being a prime target just cause I have the highest WR on the team... I've had BBs not shoot broadside ships 8km from them to shoot me in my angled cruiser at 17km, or GKs holding their fire until I was spotted just to take out my scary Albermarle...

    Well from all (excluding the one I haven't got yet) containers available in the first Directive gave me 5 tokens except for 2 of them 1 being 10, and the other must have been really lucky cause I got the 300 in it so could get the T5 ship... (It's not that good TBH) so now at 45 tokens after getting the first package. I did look to see what my first 500 Doubloon bundle would be and it was the 150 tokens so I have that on standby if I need it, as I already have the doubloons available...

    The only major improvement seems to be to the Worcester one rest are small buffs or massive nerfs or a mix of both.

    TBH I don't like it at all, WG keep adding more content for the players and then when it comes to the release they prioritise promoting the player base to skip 80% of it, which to me is putting the cart in front of the horse... Oh well if people want to spend money on free content let them, I avoided getting any of the early access Pan EU DDs just so I could play the line properly, with this event I just hope to get the tier 8 ship so I can avoid having to play the Schors again...

    Well the options are 5, 10, 15, 25 & 300, if the odds of each are equal then the median would be 12 of each container so you would get 4,260 tokens... with all rewards being 2,850 tokens this can't be the case so the 300 tokens must have an incredibly low chance so unless WG want to give us the exact odds you can't calculate it and can only guarantee that you will get a minimum of 300 tokens...

    It is even worse in RNG that the European DD event, with that one you got an amount between a minimum of 15 to 150 tokens... this time it is between 5 and 300 tokens... If RNGesus really hates you and you only get 5 tokens from all 60 containers available you will have the exact amount for the minimum reward the T5 Mikoyan, where as if your lucky and your first container drops 300 you get that reward in 1 container... just what we needed more RNG...

    The short fuse means that the delay between the shell being primed and the shell exploding is less, it doesn't effect armour penetration, what it does mean is that you can get 0 damage pens on ships with spaced armour when the shell detonates before being able to reach the citadel, but with the best example of short fuses being the RN CLs and their inability to citadel French cruisers even at point blank (when they hit the spaced armour sections) the difference with them and these RU ships is that these ships have super high shell velocity over 50% faster than the RN AP, and so the shell will travel further in the same period of time, and so they will be able to get past the spaced armour, in fact the shells seem so fast that even with the short fuses they can overpen. The Warspite once used a short fuse AP IRL when hunting DDs in Norway, where they set the fuse time so short that the AP shells essentially exploded on contact like HE, so the game isn't far off in the mechanics of the fuses in terms of timing.

    Well for weakening a strike the long range is the most important and you did just compare it to the strongest BB in terms of AA for the tier, compared to the rest it is very good.

    Odin was never going to be a resource ship only a normal premium as resource ships are all T9-10. What we don't know is whether it was nerfed because it is a reward ship or because it is German. Also the PEF isn't that bad a ship, the guns are unreliable but with the decent AA for T6 is quite effective with the number of CVs in T6 games. On another note the Graf Spee isn't a bad ship either, which was also a free reward ship, and while premium ships are not directly nerfed they can be buffed at a later date, even the Guilio Cesare was buffed after release... not that it needed it...

    3.5k Doubloons is a very cheap price for a T8 BB even a heavily nerfed one... Much better WG cause the visuals for the previous event were great, just everything else was the peak of stupidity, looks like they learned from the backlash last time. Good job taking the feedback on board!
  19. You also forget that before you just had to play a game in said T10 ship to get access to the Legendary mission, now you have to grind 5 T10 ships to even have access to the RB thus gating newer players even more...

    SAP wouldn't be as bad if the Alpha was lower than the AP Alpha, cause that would at least give a reason to use AP (Except for 2 salvos a match when a cruiser pops up broadside at 10km). then the ships could have a faster reload thus making them more fun as your not constantly waiting on a reload for half the match, but just replacing it with HE would be better overall. Then you have the lack of utility so the smoke gimmick needs a rework I would suggest having them much shorter duration, so you can literally only use them for turning out so as a tool to disengage kinda how you use the RN DD smokes some times and to enable that playstyle you need more than 1 smoke by default and a much faster reload, so we can change the ships playstyle from just spam SAP at long range to hit and run tactics where you ambush targets with AP in close then use the smoke to turn then disengage, then because the smoke can't be used offensively you can give them Hydro back. Then you have the concealment and armour to look at, cause I don't understand why the Trento has worse concealment then an Arizona (or most other T6 BBs...), then you have the fact that the armour scheme is pants from T6 to 9, why does the tier 5 and below have spaced armour and then the Italians suddenly forgot how to do it until the tier 10? And lastly there is the manoeuvrability, some have differing opinions on this but IMO I find having a fast rudder-shift on a cruiser much more important than a tight turning circle (ignoring the physics that WG decided to break with this line that they had generally followed with all the ships they released prior for some reason) for example I a find I am able to avoid damage in the Duca D'Aosta much easier then in the Abruzzi mainly due to the Duca's 2 second faster rudder-shift that allows for dodging BB salvos where as the sluggish rudder and tighter turning circle on the Abruzzi just leads to you eating a citadel which is why I find the Duca has better survive-ability than the Abruzzi despite the later having a heal. You have the same thing with the tech tree ships and it forced me to run double rudder from tier 8 because the handling was so bad, which means giving up concealment, which leads to spamming SAP from long range... The line was one of the biggest disappointments I've had in the game considering I enjoyed the Duca D'Aosta so much and found the tech tree ships a chore to play (basically a job) just to get the good T10 ship... well at least they look pretty in port... It's not that I didn't do alright in the ships (except Trento that is the worst ship in the game) but cause I was grinding them with max XP flags and camos to get past the un-enjoyment of playing them ASAP my game count was rather low in some thus not much of a fair comparison as I could have just had decent teams for most of my games and been carried. Unlike other tech tree ships there are none of the lower tier Italian ships that I feel like just taking out for fun they are purely port decorations to just look pretty.

    Rather than Needing a nerf the line just needs to go back and be done from scratch due entirely to SAP and other gimmicks. SAP is useless in the low tiers and the ships of paper, the T10 SAP is monsterous and the ship is tanky. There is terrible progression though the entire line...

    Duca D'Aosta out spots it by 3km goes 2 knots faster has a slimmer profile and before the Trento gets a few salvos off Duca would have got several salvos straight into it's citadel before it could react and even if the guns were pointed at the Duca it would be unable to damage the bow on ship and between the long reloads Duca will have full reign to use all its fire power without retaliation... No contest.

    Aosta has a 3 second faster Rudder that allows you to actually dodge, the turning circle is more of a hindrance as it means you loose more speed, plus the Duca D'Aosta has better stealth, more armour, spaced armour, hydro, fast reload and HE. Trento has the largest citadel of the tier and out spotted by BBs... It's no contest period...
