  1. A friend of mine has had an issue he set up his account through Steam and has never set up his own Wargaming Account but when he tried to start the game from Steam it wanted him to select a region and basically set up a new account. His original account clearly exists, but as he has only got to it though Steam and now it wants to set up a new account by default, how can he get his account back? If anyone has had the same issue or can give some advice it will be helpful. He has contacted support but they just think he set it up a normal account though the Game Centre and tried to open it though Steam, not that he had a Steam account and can no longer access it...

GK hardly ever takes bow on citadels from Yamato cause it has a Icebreaker bow so it does work, most of the damage the GK takes while bow in is from superstructure pens. Also all mid tier BBs have 26mm bows it isn't anything specific to USN BBs which was due to the IFHE rework, meanhile ships from other classes that used to have HE immunity to certain Guns now get penned all over... Does WG realise there was a 21mm threshold in the game?
  3. You seem to forget that the Dunkirque was in the game long before any of the ships you just mentioned... Of course it's been power crept, but it still is not an issue with the ship but with how WG operates with everything needing to be better than what came before. I wouldn't want to sail a Izmail on the flank with that mobility and turret layout...
  4. Also worse WR than Odin and with less games...
  5. The bottom line is though you shouldn't be camping from Spawn in any BB and you will only get them to stop sniping if the accuracy gets better the closer you are cause they might by accident get closer than they wanted to and find out that they were more effective... who would have thought... I wonder how the WR for the Champagne is doing considering it has 0 carry potential...
  6. Nothing wrong with Dunkirque and Why would I want to spend all game stationary in spawn taking pot shots from 20km? Where's the Fun in that??? What I meant is more that Dunkique is more of a standard BB with light guns and good speed which can be placed well on a flank to get cross shots rather than just parking bow in, took mine out a few days ago and raked up over 100k so there is nothing wrong with the ship only with players that don't have a brain. If you want a better comparison then I think the ships should play more like an Alsace or Iowa fast and good at getting into good crossfire positions, you now actually moving rather than the Bad for the game Spawn camping!!! We need ships that rely on mobility not static gun emplacements in Spawn... Unless that is what your definition of fun is...

Also interesting to see how strong the initial DevBlog stats are for the Russian ship you posted and the rest TBH when compared to DevBlog stats for other nations ships... If they don't want us to call Russian Bias they need to do at least a better job of hiding it...
  8. I would rather they changed the Champagne, Florida & Slava to be more like Dunkirque TBH. BBs should not be sniping from max range any sort of gimmick where your accuracy gets worse the closer you get is just bad for the game, we don't need to give any backing to those BB players that when criticised in chat about being too far away reply with 'I'm using all my range because that is what a BB should do'... When I saw the Florida and the stats I thought it would be an interesting ship, then I saw it was going to be like Champagne and Slava, which put me right off instantly... Has the stats for a good flanking BB but then WG decide it is going to be a spawn camper instead... BORING!!!

    Odin is complete Trash.

Aren't the guns the same as Agir cause I've had no problems with them, be it citadeling cruisers or BBs. Heck Last night I managed to citadel a Missouri from 18km with the Agir... Unless the shells are different and the accuracy is much worse then I don't really see the issue, only thing I could see as a problem is the low HP pool, but as I haven't got Odin yet I can't really say if it is too little.

You become CEO of WG for a day - what do you do?

    1. Sack the entire Balance (Gimmick) Department 2. Remove the lines ruined by Gimmicks that are bad for the game to have them reworked from scratch; RN BBs, Italian Cruisers 3. Remove ships that are bad for the game as in teach bad habits or are just pure cancerous; Asashio, Smolensk, Champagne 4. Rework the Research Bureau so that it simply means that you get points on ships at lower tiers for playing them with milestones that unlock extra camos and side grades for said ship 5. Have MM balance teams based on Radars, stealthy DDs / DD leaders, and at least even out the average WR for players on both teams, so you don't see 3 unicum Divs all on the same team while you are stuck with a load of window lickers and loose in under 6 mins. 6. Set development on new game modes and scenarios Think that would be a good start, but a lot to fit into 1 day... Too much that need fixing...

ST - 0.9.6 Changes to test ships.

Also how do you see what your yoloing if you were the only one spotting and use the smoke to close the gap? Hope they don't move and proxy spot them?

ST 0.9.5, detectability with AA firing

I was talking about the lead between initiating the attack and being able to attack, ATM it is about 3km for me, I'm not much of a CV player so maybe you can be closer, but the distance the rockets travel from the planes is only like 0.1-0.2km so you won't get into a situation where the DD is spotted closer than you can rocket unless attacking over an island. So as it is currently you can't just attack a Kagero until you do 1 pass to spot him then he goes dark but you already know his last position and he can't go far so you initiate the attack before you spot him and thus by the time you do spot him your rockets are ready to fire, so the change will make little difference, except nerf DDs with good AA.

ST 0.9.5, detectability with AA firing

ATM Kageros are already inside that striking range, you spot it do a pass turn around start the attack before he is spotted because you already know where he is so the effect of the change will be minimal, might take a tad longer to find it but won't change the result and won't stop CVs going for DDs cause DDs win games...
  14. Well at least thanks for letting me rank out And I'm now only 35k xp off the Midway too

Results of Clan Season IX: Warrior's Path

I'd have to disagree on this Stalingrad is super strong in Randoms, if anything Venezia is less strong mainly due to there being more BBs that can easily mitigate 90% of Venezia's damage output. But when you consider both ships en mass then it is a completely different scenario, most of the teams we played were either Haku + 4 Venezias + 2 Stalingrads or Haku + 2 Venezias + 4 Stalingrads. Stalingrads put up a lot of flak and have 2nd highest AA range just behind Minotaur and Worcester and much more range than an AA ship like Des Moines which is just food for CVs nowadays. Also how does the Venezia compare to the lower tier Italians where SAP is almost useless unless the target is mostly broadside or on DDs... You know I pointed out most of the issues we are having when they had the Research Bureau on the PTS and you could try out the new ships, but was shut down cause we need our gimmicks... this is one of those lines that are unfun to play, unfun to play against and the Gimmicks departments ideas are the entire cause, the other line like this are the RN BBs and god I hate playing and fighting them... It is a real skill to make something that is unfun for both the one using it and the one on the receiving end...

    Tier 6 clan battles next

Whats with all the hate for the Huanghe it actually has almost T8 levels of Cruiser AA moving smoke really good concealment and Russian AP so is great at giving DDs close range support against other DD, Curisers and CVs...

Interesting how WG only see the high number of Venezias a problem and not the also high number of Stalingrads, which is essentially a BB replacement considering you can actually citadel an Ohio form 22km with one...

Some STs Ruining the Games for Others

Ships being tested when broadside explains so much about WG balancing decisions and why ships with turtle back armour which are harder to citadel when broadside get nerfed the most while ships with high citadels get buffed to the extreme... RU Cruisers anyone?

Some STs Ruining the Games for Others

Seems to be an abuse of having the privilege of being a Supertester. From what I can gather they have to play the ships on test cycle a certain number of times so WG can get data to balance them, if they are throwing the game quickly just so they don't have to play the ship properly then that is not only an insult to the team they happen to have but also to WG that gave them the privilege to try out ships that are still under test before the rest of the player base can get access to them.

    British Submarines?

Just allow you to mount camos on Subs and use the 'BacktoSchool' Camo

    PT - 0.9.6 - Balances changes

The reason I mentioned those CVs was that they were meant to operate a bit closer to the frontline compared to the US and IJN ones thus are also rather affected like the entire hull...

    British Submarines?

HMS M1 cause we all want a Submarine with a 12" gun

    PT - 0.9.6 - Balances changes

I find it interesting that no one points out that all ships with 21mm armour sections received a nerf when the IFHE rework hit, for example Gearing and all the rest are CVs Like most RN CVs and Graff Zepplin, cause all DDs had their 127mm guns buffed by 1mm pen Considering these were ignored while BBs all got their 25mm armour buffed shows how much attention WG took when doing the change... They only cared about 25mm, 32mm and 38mm thresholds... you know all the BB ones... All other ships are second class...
  24. It does have god tier armour, but it has a High citadel so if not angled at close ranges of course you will and rightly so get blapped, Kremlin's armour is so think that even Yamato can have trouble citadeling it when broadside at Mid ranges. All ships in the line have and Icebreaker bow that can't be overmatched. They have a fast reloading Damage Control which means unless you waste them you should never end up being burnt or flooded out, they also out spot some cruisers. Also forgot to meantion that they have some of the thickest decks which means the majority of Cruiser HE does no damage and just shatters meaning that it takes minutes of focus fire from like 6 ships to sink 1 bow in Kremlin. Don't know where you got that from it is incorrect, but they are good close range cause they have super accuracy when fighting close if you shoot HE at a close DD with only the front guns you will often land all the shells dealing massive damage and having fast turret traverse also helps loads when in close. It does have a good rudder shift just terrible turning circle, but still enough to allow you to reverse and keep angling your ship to mitigate how many torps you take. Other BBs are no where near as tanky with such good ballistics and accurate guns, on each tier my RU BBs are top of all same tier BBs in terms of accuracy the only ship I own that matched it was the Thunderer, in fact on one of the higher tier ones I got 34% hit ratio, where as most other BBs sit around 28-30% hit ratio, while in game the dispersion stat looks horrible that is only the horizontal dispersion these ships have the best vertical dispersion in the game which means when shooting broadside targets you are much less likely to have shells go high or low even at max range, if you can't hit stuff with them it is your aim that is off. It will overpen some cruisers up close like a lot of High shell Speed BBs do. If you want a shot gun play any of the tech tree RN BBs they can completely bracket a broadside cruiser at 6km and have no shells hit (Bracket means in 1 salvo shells went high, low, left and right with none hitting).
  25. Funny thing is that for my accuracy results my RU BBs are always top tier for tier only thing that equals them is the Thunderer on any tier... Worst tier for tier are the Tech Tree RN BBs, even my German BBs I grind'ed before they were buffed had better accuracy... So don't mention that BS about poor long range dispersion on RU BBs...
