The problem in DD warfare is that good concealment almost always wins (barring misplay/mispositioning). The ragnar can get permaspotted and hit by enemy ships without being able to close the concealment gap to the other DD when Radar isnt available. Or the stealthy enemy DD may bait radar/shots by skirting the edge of radar to bait Ragnar into radar and shooting, then kite and have the remaining team hammer it. Not easy, but with a french DD speed or a Daring smoke, its hard to play against for Ragnar. Havnt played it enough yet in the long range spam role to judge. But then it needs a spotter to be useful and takes up a valuable DD slot. Not saying it isnt good, but I'm not really seing what it does that Kleber/Marceau with RPF cant do as well or better.

Dont get Austin. It's entirely dependent on it's gimmick. Every 2 mins you get to be a tier XI ship for 20s then you are essentially an Atlanta with worse reload for another 2 mins. Ragnar has shitty concealment (best: 7,5) for a DD, meaning you spot DDs further out and they escape radar more easily than Småland. 150 mm Guns are more effective vs larger ships on the other hand. I have Småland so why play an inferior ship? FDR I have and it is utterly boring. Main issue is muntions take 100 years to drop compared to Midway, plus it is defenceless vs dds. Torpedo bomber gimmick of making 90 degree turns fully aimed is nice, but not enough. Burger is nice, but Jean bart is just better for it's tier so I dont play my Burger. Shiki: dont have that one, I have YamaSushi and LU. Dont like like click-wait 30s click waith 30s playstyle so planning never to get Shiki. Kind wish I'd gotten Plymouth instead of Austin. I have the original Belfast and like it. Plymouth looks a lot more consistent compared to something as situational as Austin. Next coupon coming up soon, might get Plymouth or simply wait to see what other ships will be made available for steel.

Its true the ship is not registered untill the day it is played (day after in fact for the last 2 i played first yesterday and registered as 26.11). I probably played it only for snowflakes. Since I already had tirpitz, doing the mission would have been straight forward. And I remember how pissed off I was when my first SC ship was one I already had. Time erodes confidence though, and are you confident the normal containers gave a mission as well, because that isnt what the article says =)

Jean bart is the most fun ship I have that isnt a DD. Alaska is....Boring. No other word for it. And the dispersion is horrible or mine is just cursed. I'd rather play Salem.

Kansas is a floating crime against humanity the player base, Minnesota is only a floating atrocity. Vermont is actually playable. Seriously though, you picked the wrong line. Go with the fast BBs or even better, go with a different nation!

Not taking Preventative Maintainance is a serious mistake on JB. Turrets are flat faced and notorious for breaking under short range AP fire. Taking Aiming mod is recommended to boost the already excellent dispersion. Secondary range module is a meme-build. Which three tier 4 skills to take is open to debate, likewise it is open to debate whether to pick two tier 3 skills or one tier 3 and two tier 2+1. I use the regular tank build atm, but I fould the one below almost as effective. Requires you play JB like a large cruiser, but it is an excellent alternative due to almost guaranteed constant 10% main gun reload buff:

PTS Ranked is for testing new ships. WG cant very well test their newest tier 11 brainstorm if you can "dodge" the bullet by staying in tier 6/8.

Still find my Bourg too inconsistent compared to JB. The rear turret angles are bad too, so it's questionable how often the extra guns can be used.

Except hit what you shoot. Bourg has worse dispersion.

Best buy I ever made in WoWs (Fun, Unique, two very different playstyles available not just sit-click) - I dont otherwise play any BoringBoats. Disadvantages are mostly theoretical when applied to 12v12 average joes in Randoms while the advantages impactful every game. Against intelligent opposition, the lack of overmatch can be felt. It's also a top3 pick of it's tier for brawling due to its advantages in turret traverse and reload booster. Only torp armed ships can can beat a wellplayed JB in a brawl.

Did WG publish the odds?

Think of how often a DD or CV who ran/sits in the corner of the map cannot be killed before battle timer expires. Now imagine a game with subs being able to dive and stay under for 10 mins.

What i mainly find annoying is MM doing: 3 man div + 3 man div vs 2 man div Those are almost guaranteed to be a steamroll, you only need to play 2 mins to know who will win them. Would be better if about the same amount of ships were divisioned on each team. Split the unicorns / idiots evenly please!

most tier X games seem to be like that for me as well. I've stopped playing tier X for the same reason. It sucks for the DDs too. Solution: play uneven tiers. at least some games without subs or CV.
