Err.... 1. I know it doesn't count towards your daily wins, but.... 2. each game produces around 2200-2400 base XP (if sinking Rasputin) with around 500k-600k credits in profit (750k-850k with flags) 3. it says "succesful raid" at the score screen and in your battle summary, the battles are displayed in green as "WIN". The game can count it technically any way it likes - by the numbers, it's a win. You dont get those average rewards even by playing Missouri.

The values are 550 mm at 12,5 km, 524 mm at 14 km and the limit of penetration with 433 mm is at 20 km (requires rangemod GK) Angling 30 degrees, effective armor is 496 mm = GK penetration at 15,8 km, which means GK can never penetrate slightly angled Kremlin above this range. With 45 degree angle (which still isn't into autobouce territory), effective armor is 608 mm - GK cannot pen this above 9,8 km. From >14 km, there is literally a 90 degree zone in front of Kremlin where NOTHING can penetrate its belt (effective armor 608 mm vs kremlin 604 mm pen at 13,9 km), and even taking a 120 degree zone, only another Kremlin/Yama can penetrate the belt > 16 km. You can still shoot and penetrate the upper belt, but it is really narrow and will yield no citadels. We can probably argue what constitutes "flat broadside" and the 14 km limit i remembered didnt mean kremlin was entirely safe....but I'll argue one has to potato pretty hard as kremlin to allow GK to score a citadel at that range (and scoring two with GK dispersion would be a special miracle). -
Loved this game mode and will miss it. The combined PvE and PvP was so much fun (in division). to OP: Some players use the mode to farm other things than filth - xp and credit rewards + guaranteed win every game = excellent farming -> PvP included. - fun - loved the BB brawling and did engage every player i met in my crocosaur (see above) - Farming Rasputin in divisions (and NOT sharing because of backstabbing after killing it) In essence, be careful about trusting that truce too much - always have an exit plan :) It's harder than Rasputin, but not that hard with practice. Our 3 man Crocosaur division faced the Horde around half our Rasputin kills and exited with ~3-4 min left. A few times, a clanmate of mine exited < 10s left of the match (we call him the Escape Artist). Basically, BBs can tank through the torpedo damage (especially Crocosaur where heals increase based on how many enemies are close), what really kills you are two things. 1) losing engines/rudder repeatedly so Last Stand is mandatory. 2) getting rammed while the Mutarovsk has the shield (damage reduction) on - so save invulnerability and only use it if they will ram you or taking more damage will kill. The DDs dont really try to ram you - they will often turn at the last instant if you give them time (but they are set to brake far too late).

Got to disagree here. Russian BBS have to be the new most braindead BBs in the game by far. RU only has a reachable citadel below tier 9, because kremlin has stupid amounts of armor (430 mm broadside). Good luck penning that at > ~14 km (no citadel possible unless exactly 90 degree angle or using Yamato) Sure you may get a citadel and some pen dmg,but remaining shots shatter - maybe 15-20k dmg in total. Meanwhile germans take rediculous amounts of pen damage (30-40k isnt uncommon). And lets not forget Russians have even thicker deck plating than germans too for shattering IFHE. As for RU guns, they're already the best on ALL parameters (sans overmatch) by far at all distances > 12 km. -

Dont think I've ever heard someone opposing skill based MMR here except the "WG dont do that" argument. Too many vegetable complaints here for that. Since i've assumed you were serious after you said so, does that statement mean you're not serious after all? If serious, please note everybody here disagrees with you and WG spent almost 6 months this year rebalancing CVs vs DDs because CVs were too efficient at finding an killing DDs. Maybe that would suggest something to you? anyhow....let's agree we disagree and leave it there...- 81 replies

if you want to deal with camping, I suggest you play Hakuruy learn to AP bomb and go delete all the island campers with radar and he spam - observe the mobile gameplay once they are down.- 81 replies

Who said they can play effectively vs CV? They can't vs any decent CV who search for and keep track of DDs så hr should. For instance my Haku would simply hunt them down and kill them asap when I realize they have no smoke. The only reason what you suggest can work is if CV is just farming dmg- 81 replies

Basically this. If CV allowed the DD to sneak up and cap + accumulate so many points before smoking, it is a misplay on the CVs part. If you want to make CVs completely and unquestionably OPvs DDs and have 2 tier X CVs in every match murdering all DDs in a few minutes, go right ahead. Because right now the smokescreen is the only counterplay available to DDs to not get oneshot by repeated RF strikes since no AA in the universe can prevent the CV from finding DDs and getting his rockets off. I'm sure WG will come up with more when they launch support CVs, but let's not help them okay?- 81 replies

Very good post that hits the nail on the head. In vanilla Wows, the concept of camping islands simply did not exist. Any camper would get outflanked and killed by DD torps or CV drops (keep in mind: no hydro or radar existed). The games were so much more mobile. Now BBs have gotten their wish and both CVs and DDs have been nerfed into the ground, the latter by focusing every possible game mechanic on killing DDs. Hydro, Radar, RPF, and undodgeable rocket planes are the direct ways this has taken place. This leaves only cruisers and other BBs to counter BBs, as DD damage can be mostly disregarded (so many tools to avoid torpedoes and flooding is just a joke now). Cruisers are now the strongest zone controllers in the game, because of their dpm and consumables, they can counter EVERY shiptype except CVs. Essentially, cruisers are the reason we have passive games. If you disagree, jump into a Hakuruy and AP bomb the ever living daylights out of those island huggers. Then observe the dynamic gameplay once the HE spammers have been dealt with. Last tier X ranked season showed this very clearly. Cruiser zone control also has impacts for spotting, especially in CV games: there are no spotting, because everybody is camping and waiting for someone to step into the open. Torpedo DDs cant, because CVs will wreck them and Minicruiser DDs dont care, because they just want to farm damage like island hugging cruisers. -

Funny how a single one-liner can re-ignite the endless CV vs DD debate Good CVs will kill any ship going solo, it is only a matter of time. Counterplay revolves around reducing the damage, not negating it bcause WG reasons. DDs and CVs have been discussed exhaustively in the CV thread, around 100 pages long. CVs can counters 1 DD hard but it can take > 10 min for CV to kill that DD if played correctly by the DD. Meanwhile, the other 11 ships are free to do as they will on the map, so if you get focused, simply make the CV burn time. @ColoneslPete gave good advice. I'll add: turn aa off (press p) unless actually spotted from air to reduced spotting range, and also if about to be spotted by rocket planes(RF), better smoke up BEFORE they fire at you multiple times (or even before they detect you if they are 100% going to). I'd say the numbers are a LOT lower, maybe 75% will give up search/miss/look for better targets. The remaining quarter dont care about DD turning in, unless US CV using HVARs, and so it is only about how persistent the CV will be. True only very few CVs will singlemindedly go after the same DD untill it's dead, but then most DDs are so clueless they die to the first CV strike and makes persistence a moot point... Sorry but you said so yourself above. You argue with yourself.

Kitakaze is probably the best allround DD in the game, definitely a keeper. It is almost tier 9.9 like Musashi If you have the funds to buy it, Harugumo is worth it, but tier for tier weaker. It has more guns and hp, but also takes full AP pens and maneuverability is clunkier, akin to the Akizuki. Still, it is one of the 3 best gunboat tier X DDs imo (the others being Daring and Kleber).

Better ask how many players and income they lose by f*cking up their formerly perfectly fine game They arnt monetizing me anymore since beginning of november. That is 2 years of premium account that will not be renewed, nor will i spend a cent more on this game unless WG rolls back a lot of recent questionable additions, but especially the time-gated token grindfests. By making the game more grindy and radically changing the way it works, it is no longer a game i enjoy. Started with CV rework, then WG taking a dump on their players by marketing used content with Research Bureau, but the worst is the endless token grindfest and placing rewards behind impossible grindwalls and/or various lootbox schemes. Sure, the rewards have gone up a lot, but so has the grind, and the human cost in time isn't worth it anymore. I felt incredible relief when I uninstalled WoWs from my PC a couple weeks back. Will be watching for a while to see how the introduction of subs go and pray for another disaster) and hoping for better times, but cutting off my money is the only argument WG understands. -

OP is Obviously venting about the game CV counters DDs, nothing new and no, you cant prevent if from killing your DD eventually (but there is many ways to drag it out) Z-52 has been in a bad spot for a while now, nothing new and not related to CV reeeeework. Kleber has good winrate, so obviously there is nothing wrong with the ship. As DDs go, I find it humourous you picked the two of the best DD counters to Smolensk (hydro it from 6 km or ambush it with MBRB and oneshot it. If you want contructive feedback, please make a constructive post.
