    Seatle downgrade...

Interestingly your stats in that thing is a lot better than in Cleveland , so maybe it's the matchmaking and passive games giving you trouble. I do remember the thing took quite a lot of patience to make work, also it hated certain maps. Not a particularly good ship.

    Seatle downgrade...

Well this was how I made it work - somewhat. Use what you canIs your ship upgraded? Do you run rudder shift (/ engine mod)?
  3. inb4 2020 Smolka which is smolesk with removed citadel and French DD damagesaturation.

Yorck - German VII tier ultimate floating disaster

The real kicker is actually the low amount of battles. Ships jump a bit around from week to week, but indeed it is usually 5 premiums followed by Myoko, Helena and Fiji in some order or another, then Shchors and Yorck in the tail end with Surrey and Nope Orleans. Indianapolis is all over the place. Two more weeks from december

Yorck - German VII tier ultimate floating disaster

There's statistics and then there's comfort. I'm not the best with maplesyrup, but sorted by win% last week, yorck still doesn't look too good: All cruisers get blapped if mispositioned. Fiji being particularly squishy is a bit of a myth apart from the bow plating. Raised citadel is only in RN cruisers from T8 and up. It's very nimble and can actually kite in the open like other CLs/CAs if you dont get crossfired. Myoko: IJN CAs were the last line i finished (quite recently), and I like Myoko and Mogami with 203s a lot. They are better than Yorck for carrying games due to accuracy, (especially HE vs DDs) alphastrike and firestarting potential. Plus good torpedoes. Definitely my first choice for T7 CAs. Indianapolis: it's a pensacola with better concealment and radar. First noobie mistake is overextending to radar. Once fixed and played like an ambush predator it can do decently, and the range helps with BBs and being uptiered. Squishy. Schors: we are in agreement Algerie: Same playstyle as Schors with less damage. I find it too squishy, maybe the highlights at T6 and T8 just makes it feel meh. Yorck: Excels with torps if it can get to brawling distance but turret traverse cannot keep up. Low HE dpm. Mostly its forced to play long-range HE slinger and there are better choices for that role. One of those ships you either hate or love, there is no in between. For me it's hate

Yorck - German VII tier ultimate floating disaster

It triggered me that you called Yorck the best CA since you compared it's carry potential it to CLs. CLs carry better imo. Even if Yorck is the best T7 CA, at best that makes it is a below average T7 cruiser. The ship has been buffed since i played it, but back then Myoko was better and Indianapolis probably too because of radar and having the best AP of its tier (more MM dependent). T5 - T7 Pasta cruisers are trash as you expected (i played them all up to Amalfi).

Yorck - German VII tier ultimate floating disaster

OMG... I dont pay so much attention to what goes on below tier 8, but still I mostly use them for operation Narai, can't say i enjoy playing cruisers without a heal in randoms. I prefer just about anything to the old Yorck, the exception being the new Pasta cruisers which makes anything else look mighty good, as T6 and T7 are T5 ships with delusions of grandeur

Yorck - German VII tier ultimate floating disaster

Fiji, Belfast, Flint would like a word with you. Also probably new RN CAs. Also even Helena and Shchors (unpopular opinion, but it is an incredible BB burner) carry a T9 battles better. (unless you really mean CA, not CL, in which case you're basically only comparing to Myoko and Algerie) Then again i love my Hipper for the same reasons you love Yorck. Yorck just put me off, but i cant remember if it was the difference between HE an AP shells, bad turret traverse or bad maneuverability i hated. If only WG would fix the difference in HE and AP shell velocity....

    Seatle downgrade...

Low range can be an advantage as every DD player knows. It allows two unique playstyles 1. Identify an island between you and the closest target. Move up so you are in range of only the closest target and spam away - undetected - since the opponents who have direct line of sight to you are out of range. CVs and unspotted DDs are the bane of this playstyle. 2. Hunt DDs in open water, go instantly undetected once they die/smoke up for the same by taking advantage of the same mechanics as above. Alternatively, you can slot range mod and play like a T9 Cleveland. Your mistake was resetting a USN line, thinking they have good ships apart from the Tier Xs Hated the T8 Cleveland so much I refused to use it in Randoms, instead grinded it in operation Cherry Blossom. Seattle was better because i found the 30 mm deck, lower range and higher ROF far more useful for an active ambush playstyle. That was back when radar had 9,5 km range though.

You know your maps? - The map quiz

well I liked the challenge of guessing the square without looking the map up on google to get the grid right Since we dont see the small island on the border of the cap the ship could be far enough north to just be inside E4, but my guess would be F3 Same here. And it gets more confusing still if you look at replay files since the maps have different names on replays. Only reason I remember trap is it used to "trap" all 20-22 snowflakes behind the large islands down in the south western corner

You know your maps? - The map quiz

Its trap, just outside B cap on western side (E5ish) and looking NE or east north east (according to compass)

    Testships - first impressions

Neighbours wouldn't mind too much :) It looks pretty similar to the Danish Willemoes class from the same decade. Here in its museum configuration (without extra torpedo tubes) in Copenhagen harbour. BBs and CVs would scream bloody murder at those 1970s designs. Wire guideded torps: check Stinger missiles: check Very, very good concealment: check.

    ARP Takao new camouflage

A new one in addition to the existing one? (which used to not give any bonuses - it does now, and yes it's been ages since i checked)

Cap buoys invisible since latest patch

I play with Graphics on low (including LOD) both before and after patch.....i even manually set everything to low. TLDR: 100% it's some change this patch. Trying high LOD.

Got the same. Been re-installing 3 times last 3 days, no change.

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

I prefer fast active playstyles, so the speed and ambush potential of both ships interests me. Also I have Ohio and will probably get Bourgogne as my next steel ship (halfway there), so for both I will have tier X ships with similar playstyles available. Its mostly a matter of credits and fun. JB seems like a bowtanking HE spammer to me, which made me lean towards Georgia.

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

I dont much care for BBs so I got tier X ships first. On the other hand I've got enough coal for one now, so if you'd have to recommend one as a credit farmer (alternative to missouri), which would it be?
  18. GulvkluderGuld

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

Not zulu, but some camo "type 20". And yes using the numbers you wrote, 161500 (Alaska) is more than 112000 (PR).

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

I'm glad someone enjoys PvE. For me, PvE gets repetitive and boring extremely fast with everybody fighting for kills and games lasting at most 5 minutes. Also dont bet on bots being smart. During the PC directive grind there was this game....the one where ALL the top left + middle bots went into the channel on Two Brothers

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

So your T9 Alaska earned more credits than T10 PayToRico with 20% zulu flag. I could say thanks for proving your original claim wrong Problem is, we have no idea if baseXP were the same (did you shoot anything, kill planes etc). Its nice to see someone willing to improve. That automatically puts you above 75% of our regular snowflakes I still dont see a use or coop though. Usually if you dont freeXP through the lines and do check armor profiles in port, there is no need to play coop (at least not after 14k games). And if you really want to test ships and aiming, the Training room offers much more reliable testing conditions.

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

The point is, WoWs is a PvP game. Why would you play coop, unless forced to by silly mission requirements? Why dont you go prove your point in coop and upload the screens?

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

It actually says that on the wiki page? Not that it's surprising. It's WG Non-silver T10 never did and still don't earn as much as T9 non-silver ships. T9s are Premium ships with premium earning modifiers while T10s are classified as "Special ships" and earn credits corresponding to a T10 with a permaflage. In other words, T9s premiums earn far more credits than T10 special ships.

Hayate - WG responds to the community feedback

Possibly interesting, if not for being TX and earning less credits than T9 premiums. Statwise it likely has a very different playstyle since it is a LOT slower and has no heal. Add: Worse concealment, worse gun ballistics, no smoke if taking TRB afaik, Grozo has access to LM with improved reload. Hayate will never make it as open water gunboat. In fact I wonder how well it can hit a target at 10+ km. It might well be a better DD brawler though. My 1 mio fXP will go to Friesland for the premium credit earning potential, and dakka (i'm very much a gunboat DD player).

    Smoensk got nerfed?

I've had my ship detonate 3 games in a row. I've detonated two Fusos in the same game. It's RNG with a twist: Good Kremlin at 8-9 km has no problem blindly oneshotting a smolensk if he knows what he is doing. Happened to me too. On the other hand, the definition of a miracle: GK oneshotting anything at 18 km. Same for Lion landing more than 2 shells. Your mistake was being angled. The rest was RNG.
