Yeah we agree Brindisi is quite strong against all classes. Tier 5-7, on the other hand, are lucky if they do 1k dmg vs angled BBs like colorado, gneisenau and the likes. The same tier 5-7 can easily do 50% of any DD hp in one volley, making them quite overpowered for their tiers vs DD. Not sure why you bring up HE damage?

That comment related mostly to the SAP penetration angles getting only slightly better at tier 8. I still didn't like the ship. They are all very dependent on MM throwing DD and cruiser heavy games at them. Since I got only BBs and CVs with 1, max 2 DD, it was painful to say the least.

Tier 5 to 7 are fit for the dumpster due to bad sAP pen angles. They cannot deal with BBs at all. Amalfi is slightly better, but you may not really notice it since it still cannot deal with BBs. Brindisi at tier 9 is when the ammuntion starts to become actually useful. I still dont have Venezia. Actually, not exclusively L2P issue. None of those ships below tier 8 can sink a bowtanking BB even if it is afk without resorting to torps. SAP still deletes DDs, Venezia can land 20k salvos.....If you play DD the one ammunition you absolutely HAVE to dodge is the italian SAP. Even if you get hit by 6 other ships to dodge it, that usually is better than eating one italian SAP volley. Meanwhile only Venezia and Brindisi can deal somwhat with BBs since the masterrace must be protected. Never mind the rest of the italian cruiser line is painful to play and with painfully long reload and bad concealment. Honestly while i heavily disagree with the statement above, I'm in agreement with a quallity of life reload buff, as long as SAP damage is toned down correspondingly. Surprisingly I enjoy the Brindisi, it is very tanky for a cruiser in additions to have excellent SAP and fuelsmoke, and honestly I think it might be a tad overpowered. It certainly does not need any buffs. EDIT: brindisi is the best tier 9 silver cruiser by winrate (wows-numbers)

Reset 5 times, twice with x2 bonus and has Ohio in port + 18k points. Used ~2,5 mio Fxp total for double resets since i'm chronically short of credits and Friesland did not interest me. Likely resetting again in 10 days although I dont have the fXP since I picked up Friesland after panEU dds were announced. -
Thanks for announcing it ahead of time which ships will be available for what, and also i know you just have the thankless job og communication other peoples decisions in this matter. However this decision to make steel ships generally available really sticks in my craw because of how it devalues steel and the exclusivity it was supposed to offer. What is the point of Steel ships if not exclusivity and rarity. Maybe this is a one-off, but your comment makes me suspect this is new general policy. And in that case, there will be literally no point in farming steel when the ships in question will be made available to the general player base 6 month later - at least except for hardcore competitive gamers who need the newest OP ship for CB. Also, why remove steel ships and reduce choices when they arn't all that popular or OP. Different players like different ships and tiers, and especially DDs are subject to very limited choice in the first place. I'm assuming there's a monetary reason, because nothing else makes sense.

yeah and especially in a BB because it depends on other classes (spotting DD and he spammers) more than other classes. I play mostly DDs and some usually spammy cruisers and they can always assassinate key targets. BBs are mostly for variety and Ohio is a beast, but sometimes you simply can't kill opponents as fast as you lose teammates and then the mob decends

I love my Benham too. In fact as a result of playing it, I've even fallen in love with my Shimakaze which i never played for 4 years. If I didnt fall asleep from playing BBs I'd argue Musashi was the best tier 9. On fire all game and dont give a f*ck (captain skils), it really racks up damage and kills regardless. -
Whenever I play Ohio, green team will fold very quickly 100% of the time.

Clanmate of mine loves Wichita. Dont bother with Indianapolis. I have Flint and its great,, but Flint/Atlanta has rather specialized playstyle and captain requirements due to low range and gun caliber compared to something like a cleveland,.

Replay or screenshot (WoWs saves last 20 replays in /replay folder). Barring that one can only speculate: 1. Either TASM (he lied) 2. You fired your guns blindly at 2-3 km and gunbloom got you detected. 3. Another ship with TASM and romulan cloaking device was there. 4. You are mistaken and got surface spotted by ship or CV 5. Submarine was under you, proximity spotting

WG: Dont want to create T11 ships for RB Also WG: adds RB BB that is clearly superior to techtree T10 equivalent (Montana) but arnt officially T11. ...I wonder what those Legendary Mods will be turned into by next year? And yes its complete BS to hide outrageous powercreep.

Played only a few games and it's not a bad ship, but rather boring. Long and mid range play suffers from insanely low dpm and floaty shells, but at close range it can be a monster. If bow in and close range, how do you suggest they obliterate it? Not even Yamato AP can overmatch 38 mm. At longer ranges I would expect citadels even through the bow, since the 38 mm plate sits very low in the water.

Those are really low averages. - for all players Smolensk average dmg is 81k while Hindenburg is 71k (wows-numbers.com). - or unicums smolensk average dmg 129k while hindenburg 114k Funny or serious? Yesterday i had 268k 6 kill game with 950ish hits and some 20 fires where I ended up alone vs full hp mogami and 50% hp iowa. Me (smolensk) bow in at 10 km with them closing on either flank. Mogami literally melted in the space of time Iowa could fire twice, and Iowa only got to fire twice more before it was all over. Meanwhile my smolensk recieved a grand total of ~10k dmg since iowa overpenned or bounced. You try doing that with KGV. Agree. It is one of those ships that can hit 100k dmg in 10 minutes while just derping around. Also i can recommend the 19 km build. You dont even need smoke to burn down BBs anymore, just open water gunboat and dodge. Burned down a very salty Kremlin today who complained in chat about OP ships...

missing vote option "leave as is". Most battles are already 5-10 minute stomps. The most enjoyable ones are the few close ones that last full 20 minutes. If you dont have time for a game, dont play Random. Play Coop, since those games usually last all of 5-6 minutes. And if you dont like playing coop, well, there's your answer to why battle time shouldn't be so short. -
I dont play mine. Then again, I dont enjoy any BBs. From a fun perspective: Why play Yamato when you can sealclub T7 with Musashi? Likewise Ohio with secondaries is everything the GK could be if the main guns behaved themselves.

Ah sry I only checked the first post and used memory for the second. I stand corrected Anyhow the game changed a lot since CLs were introduced. There arnt that many tier X dds to prey upon, radar nerfed, lots of long range HE spammers and supercruisers introduced. Getting in range was already problematic at release, i cant imagine it's gotten any better. It was a matter of waiting for the right moments, carrying wasn't very easy. I sold mine and havn't missed it. One nation i shall never reset again is the USN. I'm having a blast in the tier X's, and the new broken reward ships, but grinding the midtier of any of those lines? no thanks.

Always stay inside the perimiter unless BBs which sometimes can move a little outside for proper crossfire. RTS CVs used to be able to almost solocarry, their only problem was preventing the final wave from spawning early which took a few non-potato teammates. These days I'd recommed waiting for Narai. Short of that, play Leander.

Ambush DDs and disappear. Somewhat similar to what Worchester can do. I never even researched the firecontrol upgrade, so I played it with 14,3 km range. Also used propulsion mod and Reload mod. Cant remember if using CL armor works vs those 17'+ BBs guns, eg full broadside and watch them overpenetrate. I know it works with Worchester, because I've burned BBs while kiting away and had it done to me aswell, and Worchester has the same maneuverability as Seattle. Alternatively, you will need to actively dodge and preferably bait them into shooting your belt - which you then angle into autobounce territory. Supercruisers AP you can bounce that way. BBs only bounce if they hit the lower belt as upper belt is 25mm, so not advisable to do against them except as a last resort. I checked your solo stats in the ships, not total, since it gives me a better picture of how they are being played. For all of them you sit at ~44-46% WR. That includes the Cleveland, although that might all be old stats - but in that case your old seattle stats are better than total cleveland :)

You all know alot of players had connection issues last patch that WG put down to ISPs. Suspicion was centered on a certain g-Core IP address. Guess what i just got from running pingplotter: EDIT: Seems itts not WG afterall
