How many credits did you get for your old prem consumables?
GulvkluderGuld replied to Captain_Singleton's topic in General Discussion
I used to collect tier X ships. Already have Ohio and next reset I'll have Colbert too. Ohio is quite good and fun. Might stop soon though the FXP prices are beyond ridiculous. -

9 mio i think played since launch and I'm sitting on <5 mio credits. Dont you ever reset lines in the RB? Its an excellent credit sink. -
Wargaming Gags their Community Contributors? (Probably not, see edit.)

Nobody have seen the actual NDA agreement, so who knows but if you trust WGs word then yes, they can. It would also benefit Flamus viewer numbers to lay it on thick.- 13 replies

Just buy a year and ask for a return afterward. With WG track record of competence, maybe customer service awards 1 extra year when trying to deduct it On topic: Another event not worth bothering with. Thank you for making the choice between russian paper origami and Borderlands 3 easy WG!

This is over a month old news. There is a long thread somewhere with a detailed post by WG. New stuff is simply under NDA untill about a week before release.- 13 replies

Takes a while to learn all classes and tiers so probably at least a couple thousand games. - DDs and CVs are better at carrying than CAs and BBs. - Game balance is shot to hell, some (often new) lines are very strong but every line as a stinker or two at some tier.

I ’m not a protester, I just hope players can unite and say no to the chaotic changes in the game

Maybe you native English speakers can decipher this, but not for me as a scandinavian who speaks fluent english. I can guess the meaning in some of it, but not this part: Something about the Legendary Module price, but for the life of me I cannot read it. Probably complaining about the cost considering the last sentence? "Experience of two silver coins" (=ships?) - it makes no sense. 1. is reasonable 2. is unclear because of bad translation. I'm guessing he means the LU price, but it might aswell be the XP cost to research the ship. 3. is completely unreasonable if i read it correctly. He wants the AN for free without grinding. Which is different from every single previous split and makes no sense. Why would WG make a new tier X ship to give away for free without grind? The whole point of new content is giving the players a reason to play. Give the ship away for free and players have no reason to play the new content (unless its OP). -
[POLL] How was your "Ranked Sprint 11" experience?
GulvkluderGuld replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
- 12v12 is way too many idiots players to carry. Much better is 7v7 or so. - also I dont think explaining the rules to the bordersurfing half-blind majority will do any good, they obviously dont care about winning. -
Does this change desirability of Unique Upgrades
GulvkluderGuld replied to Verblonde's topic in General Discussion
You are probably right, the speed boost nerf is too massive. I dont see many Khabas running heal any longer. Smoke seems to be the meta, for obvious reasons, and 20% smoke duration nerf was neglectible. -
10.000 steel for a camo that looks like the standard "naked" ship? Errrrm NO?
-
At least make them "nice" looking camos. These look like "Naked" ships if Yamato is anything to go by. Also why spend steel on a camo when you can get a tier IX ship for a bit oer twice the amount (unless Georgia getting removed?)

Does this change desirability of Unique Upgrades
GulvkluderGuld replied to Verblonde's topic in General Discussion
The YY module could be viable combined with Radar in game modes where CVs arnt allowed I dont have the Khaba LU, but it sounds like a buff. Worchester LU was already trash, but at least useable in slot 5. In slot 6 it's a complete joke, the bonuses arnt worth 12% firepower. DesMo: no surprise it was nerfed, and well deserved. This one is amazing. GK: useful german stuff? Naaaaaaaah, we cant have that! Nerfed, because german. Montana: It was already terrible and now it literally only provides further nerfs to a struggleboat? USN new germans or what? Republique: dont get the LU ever. Shimakaze: probably it makes no differnce, but will have to be tested. TL;DR: YY LU could be viable in modes without CV Henri mod isn't viable anymore DM mod still viable Montana mod was never viable, WG why are you kicking a dead man? On the plus side: WG ISNT "rebalancing" the LU to tier 11 standards (yet). -
[Low Effort] Can you spot the start of the weekend?
GulvkluderGuld replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
Didnt weekend start when lockdown did? I'm not seeing any difference in play no matter the weekday any longer. Last week 52% winrate, even worse when I tryhard (I clearly need to git even gud'er): -
T8+ pan asians advice please
GulvkluderGuld replied to Captain_Campbell's topic in General Discussion
Chung Mu was and still is the superior ship, and many peoples go-to torpedo DD, despite recent small buffs to the YY. Dont bother with radar in CV infested waters. -
It's not like OP doesn't have a point besides questionable formatting. Game is extremely frustrating atm. I direct your attention to exhibit A:
-
Most CVs in Random Battles (90%+) are terrible and have no clue how to prioritize targets. Once you meet the best CVs from clans like TWA, TTT, PARAZ etc, you will see CVs kill off DDs first or constantly keep track of DD while striking more important targets (radar CAs). Often it's hard to even get in range of a cap or ship to shoot and if you try, it's like waving a red flag in front of CVs eyes. Generally I find only the Daring is worth playing in that environment because of the multiple smokes allow some immunity from constant CV harassment. Meanwhile what are radar ships going to do when you flank their position and you /team start farming them? Or simply brute force smoke up to rain hell on them from 12,2 km / 10,2 km (mostly Daring/Harugumo, maybe Grozovoi too) Or pre-torp the regular island where they poke the bow out to shoot from, once you enter the cap? (gets many torp hits/oneshot and free cap) I'm not calling multi-ship radar games easy, but as DD you have 1000% more playmaking and carry power there compared to CV games. If you have trouble with radars, remember there are other objectives than caps in the game. DD play is about finding openings and exploiting them.
-
Radars imo as an experienced DD player is fairly easy to deal with compared to CV. It's much easier to control whether they detect your DD by controlling range and angle than controlling whether planes zooom overhead every 20-30s or not. Also they can be killed. CVs? Not so much. And if your team dont have radars, they usually have cruisers that are good at countering radar ships, so you win the long game. Gunboat DDs do better than torpedoboats obviously, since some of them can literally solokill radarships.
-
1. As has been said, with that logic you can justify any broken mechanic 2. What other DDs? Single DD games are common. Also enjoy being literally useless while CV can still be useful while striking you at the same time. 3. Derailing topic by mention of CV: successful
-
A much bigger improvement to gameplay than all of those together: Remove CVs

ST, HAMBURG DOCKYARD Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Showcased features may or may not end up on the main server. Any final information will be published on our game's website. The main feature of Update 0.9.5 is the Hamburg Dockyard, where players will be able to see the construction of two German ships at once: Admiral Graf Spee and Odin. The Dockyard rules have been simplified since the previous iteration: Ship construction at the Dockyard will consist of 20 construction levels, which you can advance through by completing Directives or spending Doubloons. The reward is Admiral Graf Spee in a "Parade" camouflage. The ship becomes available when reaching construction level 10. You can reach construction level 18 out of 20 just by completing Directives. Levels 19 and 20 are reachable only by spending Doubloons. The price of one level of Dockyard will be 1750 doubloons. Thus obtaining of Odin is quite similar to the Cossack marathon: by completing the Directives you'll get Admiral Graf Spee and various other rewards from the Dockyard, and you'll also get a massive discount for Odin and her "Parade" camouflage, which sit at level 20. Directives will be available during Updates 0.9.5-0.9.6. The first one will become available with the release of Update 0.9.5. Access to the subsequent directives will be unlocked each week. List of Directives Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Showcased features may or may not end up on the main server. Any final information will be published on our game's website.

Like it, provided the directives are actually possible to do without playing 8 hours a day (especially for the Graf Spee). Also like that players will be able to earn Graf Spee a 2nd time. What do players who already have Graf Spee in port get? At least WG is being honest about the doubloon price (which BETTER not change by any factors of 10 this time) Considering WGs track record, I'll believe it when I see it

Solo COVID19 Random Battle Anthology, i'll just leave this here. Clearly I need to git gud: -
41 battles, very mixed ships for converting 200% XP bonuses to FXP. The play was so mind numbingly bad - all the dmg records were losses. Played DD whenever the frustration levels got critical. Winrates below (Midway game ended in 5 minutes).
-
The difference being other classes have counterplay vs DDs. Meanwhile there is no counterplay to CV spotting. In fact, there is no counterplay to CVs deciding to strike your ship, unless you happen to have a smokescreen. In short both are spotters, but one is protected by broken design while the other, isn't.
-
Fixed for you. CV vs DD is the most broken interaction in the game. To suggest anything else....
