Dont think it's the way to go. Then we would need a penalty for lemmingtrains too. In particular BBs leaving their "side" and saling across to the other side is a major issue. Also full hp BBs at the end of the game. And full hp CVs -
Actually let me rephrase my argument: Most Smolensks I meet are cowards hiding in the back, preferably behind island cover. Smart has little to do with it. Uhm, yes and all the time. Except benham can sneak into places where Kitakami can never reach. Since most BBs camp 15+ km from the enemy lines, kitakami will not work on spawncampers. It might work very well on the weak flank if the red team pushes, but being forced to smoke up will be a death sentence once smoke ends. Dont tell me you dont occasionally get too close even running RL. It only tells the bearing to the nearest ship, it does not tell if there are two DDs or how close they are.

I had bigger fish to fry while trying to disengage. My JB needed Friesland reload for that to be viable havnt noticed if it was my own shells too in the middle of the friesland hail. -
Where do I find ship xp in the new layout? how does my ship look? and why is the entire screen black instead of showing my ship and port? in summary why remove a well functioning informative layout and replace it with crap? I find myself actively avoiding the module tab now.

I don't usually care about sounds and never cared about previous updates, since I just use normal pc loudspeakers.... but this update just made even that unplayable. I'm particular, shell hits (taking hits I think?) "stick hitting a plastic bottle" sound that is very loud and invasive. I keep looking over at my window thinking somebody threw rocks at them. Can you turn it off? Maybe it's this?

They are extremely annoying and invasive, like somebody continually slapping my pc with a rock every time a my ship gets hit. And when Friesland pours a torrent of fire, it's like driving through a hailstorm amplified x100. how do you turn it of? -
Igor is working as fast as he can, but he is only one underaged son of Lesta who didn't even go to high school yet and has to manage game balancing as well as UI and operations. His dream is joining the graphics team of 10+ devs who has their own coffee machine next door.

Ugly Uninformative and confusing with all the important stuff hidden away with small print and unimportant stuff taking up th entire screen. As always WG UI "improvements" are nothing of the sort

Lots have happened since I grinder the tree 4 years ago. These days due to powercreep I find silver US dds are decidedly mediocre with the notable exception of tier 9 Fletcher and tier X Gearing (but even those I don't play anymore!). The premiums are excellent including Benham and Somers as are the Sims and possibly Kidd. If you have to pick a tier 5-8 i wouldnt pick one, but probably benson tier 8 is still playable and the tier 4 and 5 were fun yoloboats but before the tier 4 CV situation became intolerable. If you like the panasians, the US dds should be right down you alley except their torps are better (can hit dds too) and smokes have longer cool down but last longer (not so flexible in the CV age).

From the patch notes, it is not stated how to obtain those special chains of combat missions. The patch notes does mention german containers which also drops missions for the german CVs, but nothing about tokens..... There is no mention of random bundles for doubloons anywhere, but.... I cannot imagine WG being that straight forward where TX rewards are involved. EDIT: updated post with patch notes: You can get up to 300 tokens from free missions. If you have somehow () obtained all german CVs including GZ, you can get 600 tokens. 1800 tokens are available in bundles for doubloons (looks like 7500 dubs per mission) 600 tokens are available from the premium shop. -
You are probably right about the current purpose of the RB being to keep players engaged. Who knows where WG might take it eventually though. As for content, I'm one of those people you mention. Apart from Khaba and Conq I have every single of the older LMs. I also have Colbert and Ohio once I finish the current reset. That leaves Siegfried and the few newer LMs that might be interesting like Harugumo = 67000 RP or another ~ 3½ resets with bonuses. WG keep increasing the grind to keep players like me busy, but the way they do it means its hard for newer players to keep up, so that is no easy dilemma to solve.

That's my default line to reset too. Very enjoyable ships from tier 7 and up, only Hatsuharu is a stinker (i fxp the first 5 tiers since they give no RP). Currently on my last reset to get Colbert, only Siegfried remains (and the new LM)

Doubt it, unless we're talking 2-4 years from now like the SciFi camos - and its really only the event camos that have been made available later. Its not possible to buy the three crown camos for PanEU dds or for the French DDs celebration camos. I dont know about Soviet cruisers, I cant remember if there were camos for the RN cruisers. -
You know it's pretty generous atm. WG wants us to use the damn thing before they nerf the RP earnings. Also are you arguing the earnings will have to be increased? I expect Greedgaming wants you to whale doubloons for FXP conversion, otherwise they make no money on the whole RB thing.

Wait another 6 months after this goes live and everyone burned their excess oil on a measly SC or two. At this point I'm ready to believe any WG required for profit: WG: Look we add new Oil refinery building for 100.000.000 oil, offering 5% extra oil per upgrade with 3 upgrades. Also WG after clan boycott: Adds new token port for whatever monthly token fiesta WG is currently pushing. Cost 10k oil. It is required to earn tokens in any events and redeem containers. Too bad if you arn't in a clan. Sorry. -

I did. Spaceport Hellcarrier is just way too cool Half a year ago I still thought and hoped the same. Last 6 months have conclusively shown it will not happen anymore. Tier X PanEU DD camos, British camos and Soviet Camos all required money to change hands or were effectively impossible to complete without it. Game events have gone from generous to grindy for minimal reward (last year) unless doubloons changed hands, to outright not being worth bothering with (since PaytoRico). And I'm glad they're not worth bothering with, because I can ignore them and play ships i enjoy instead. -

The CVs are free early access for missions. You can probably also get permaflages for any tier 4-8 CV recieved as early access by completing the relevant mission chain (for free). The tier X permaflages are another story. Each 600 token mission comes at the price of 7500 doubloons which is 50% more than the regular permaflages (and includes a bundle of various junk). TBH i dont mind WG monetizing the game with cool permaflages. It's definitely better than Puerto Rico events and P2W. It allows me to opt out and just buy the regular tier X permaflages if I want it. -

They also ninja nerf turning circle of silver and certain premium ships (belfast, missouri, thunderer among others). And they add more camos to Supercontainers

What is meant was, smarter Smolensks tend to sit next to an island, so you need to catch it in the smoke before it can accelerate into hard cover. Benham does NOT like to be front line either, it usually relies on RPF and counting ships on the minimap before risking detection. Thus i find it more likely Kitakami will be detected than a benham running RPF and possing concealment superior to most dds. Unless Kitakami does 2nd or 3rd line torping without a chance to hit enemy BBs sitting 20 km away that is....which is likely going to come at a price You're essentially arguing that torping a random piece of ocean will hit a dd vs Kitakami getting detected by that same dd and instantly nuked by everybody and their mother.

The problem is they're slow torpedoes. Smolensk sitting with hydro will have plenty time to dodge. If you want to guarantee nailing smolensk with IJN torps, only the F3s are really fast enough. As for the gunboat sisters it's similar to their interaction with Benham apart from Kitakami having a citadel and thus likely exploding even faster. Untill a wild CV appears Still. I definitely will want one!
