    Crowning the Winter King!

Yeah okay, so I don't agree with the apparantly general consensus, that it's somehow okay for a commentator to be a constant negative factor, who goes out of his way to create a negative reputation for players. We've had several different casters in past tournaments, none of them were remotely as trashtalky as flamu. And I don't agree at all that being shittalked is 'to be expected' and totally normal. It reeks of immaturity to me, and not something I'd expect from a game where the community is on average, a higher age than those of other games. Flamu can't be arsed to make any comments here, somehow that's within my expectations because he keeps proving he's the type of person who really just doesn't give a crap. Real shame. Not too much left to say, I just hope the organizers can consider other streamer options for the future.

Which is exactly the issue I'm pointing out here, eh? All he does is focus on what he preceives as mistakes and bad plays. It's very negative. Which I feel, is very undesirable for these events. Watching the vod after done playing the games, and a lot of the commentary is trashtalk. Now I can only speak for myself, but that's not what I want to listen to. That just gets me down and ruins my day. I can't imagine being alone in this. And where is this coming from? Like, at what point did I ever suggest this? Where are you getting the impression from this is what I want? What kind of dumb strawman is this? Not the point I was making at all. You are argueing against things I havent said. I didn't say I expected the casters to see or praise every single thing I did. Or to make it a highlight reel of "dawns amazing cv gameplay + friends." Nowhere have I said that I want to be the center of attention and constantly highlighted. And if you think I suggested that, you are not reading what I said very well. I understand you are rushing to the defense of your clan member, but at least read what I actually posted... At every timestamp I posted the casters were actually watching the things unfold (ergo, not a case of me wishing they were watching this particular thing. But they are already watching the thing), and Flamu choose to be negative about it. Downright trash talking players at times. Or basically acting like he's 'baffled at their stupidity'. I didn't post any timestamps and commented that "geez, I really wish they would have noticed that". Because the spectator tools are poor and the map large and the casters only human, things will be missed. Which is not the point I was making. So again, why are you bringing that up? I'm not asking the casters to blow smoke up my arse. I just want them to not be constantly be negative about the players taking part in these events. And if they are going to be negative about something, make it constructive and think of the circumstances in which the misplay happened. It's ironic you say I'm not handling critique, but when I offer critique about Flamu, you say I just have to 'deal with it.'I can handle critique just fine, but what Flamu was doing on the stream wasn't offer meaningful critique, it was just very selective negativity while ignoring the good points. This much older post comes to mind: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/52113-dream-team-2205-moar-diamonds/page__pid__1047079#entry1047079 More polite streams please.

Okay, I'm just going to make this post to vent, get it off my chest. Regarding Flamu's constant negativity during the stream: https://www.twitch.tv/izolate/v/108270530 Timestamp 1:11:05 I get what I would consider, a pretty good drop on a benson that has defensive fire on. What does Flamu talk about? Felomeel dropping torpedoes while under spotting and him slowing down. Focusing on the perceived mistakes made by the DD player. Timestamp 2:07:50, the end of the third match. After 19 minutes of spotting and several good drops, in the third game, I rush the torpedo drop behind the Amagi. Not really realizing what the time stamp and point count was at that time. Because you know, it gets pretty hectic and mentally draining to play a CV in a competitive setting. Especially since basically every ships OMNI has, has a pretty significant amount of AA, and in the previous games while running strike, most of my double TB drops have been utterly annihilated before getting anything meaningful in the water. So at this point I really just try to get something in the water to try and help out, maybe force him to turn, and do so before something with defensive AA pops up into view and AA range. Flamu's reaction is at that I "once again" 02:11:00 dropped behind as if that is some kind of defining trait of me? As if I've been doing that the whole series? It's really demeaning to constantly hear on stream how Flame is constantly highlighting my apparant wrongdoings in the game. But not once is it mentioned how I've been constantly spotting in 2-3 different locations and allow my team at the B point to dodge pretty much each torpedo far in advance because of the spotting. Or hell, carriers still having planes left at all that last into a competitive game is actually already something that's worth mentioning with how absurd AA is on well specced T8 ships. But I guess you can't expect too much from casters that have stated on several occasions they don't know much about CV's. Then at 03:40:00 the akisuki makes kind of an odd move, I spot him, we kill him, he dies to my fire because of two good divebomb drops. All the time is spend putting celeb2k in a bad light, instead of highlighting how TTT makes the most of the opportunity. At 03:42:25 I get rid of a second DD. Just more whining about how the DD is bad and that the planes were spotted ages ago. Can't seem to do anything right it seems! Several good drops on battleboats later, I do one last drop on a MK in smoke that has def AA on, with 970 points left and their last ship dying. Flamu's final nice comment for me is "once again we have a classic Dawn of the poi empire's drop from behind and miss everything". Yeah okay. Piss off man. All you do is make shitty negative remarks like that. Ignore all the good things, and make me out like a potato on stream. Thanks, real classy. Really enjoy hearing you stream and be a dck about things. And these are just the things that were about me and that I could remember, I didn't even watch all of the games. Play in competitive, get repeately berated and belittled by casters. That's fun. That's a good way to get people interested. Honestly, I rather you didn't stream tournaments if this is how you are going to be all the time. Did I do something against you in the past that I deserve this much of your ire? Bloody hell, man.

Well, I just sort of expect streamers to not trash talk the teams and/or players that are playing. Be that OMNI or TTT or AAO or whoever. It's really in poor taste, especially when you watch back the stream after having lost a game and hearing Flamu constantly make negative remarks instead of highlighting the positives.

    Crowning the Winter King!

That would be pretty pointless if he doesn't read the forums to begin with. Okay, cheers. I don't mean to make this into some kind of dumb drama and rain on OMNI's victory parade here. But I'd be lying if I said it didn't really irk me.

    Crowning the Winter King!

Who was leading the team you were on then? And good for you that you dont mind Flamu spending 10 minutes laughing at your expense. I'm slightly less so inclined to enjoy that. I don't know if Flamu reads these forums, but perhaps OMNI could communicate this towards him?

    Crowning the Winter King!

Grats to Stranger's led OMNI. That third match on island of ice in the semi's was absurdly close. I'd appreciate it if Flamu could be... less negative during casting. He's always focusing on what players do wrong rather what they do right. His absurd laughter and mockery of FTD's led OMNI was really disrespectful. The constant nagging about my drops was personally really grating to me. Especially when he goes out of his way to ignore all of the good ones I've done. At least Izolate isn't being so damn unpleasant, so thanks to him for the good casting. Maybe take an example from your co-caster, Flamu?

Server Clash - Match and Stream Schedule

I just don't even. Is wargaming EU a professional company or not? I suppose you guys are, since you sell a product and get paid and so forth. But editing an article to include a table with what team is up against what team is beyond your professional powers because of localization. Are you for real? The sheer level of incompetency displayed by wargaming eu continues to flabbergast me. For one thing this should have been on the page to begin with! IT'S REALLY A BASIC THING. And then for the rewards. Man, do I have a beef to grind with you guys over this. Let's start with a bit of a history; teambattles. Remember those? That gamemode that had absolutely zero rewards for players participating in them? You'd spend flags but were unable to earn any. The credits rewards functioned the same as random battles, causing some classes to straight up lose credits for winning games (noteably carriers, the class wargaming keeps screwing over again and again) and then what the did the top scoring games get at the end of the season? LOVING NOTHING. The season unceremoniously ended without even a news blurb on the website about it ending. And the teams that grinded through a broken system of no rewards and awful matchmaking to achieve top spots on the leaderboards, got absolutely jack all for their time and effort. Not on the asian server though! MEANWHILE, wargaming had absolutely no qualms about doing this: http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/premshop/premshop-special-march/ it just can't get any more blatant than that. Do you guys have no shame or what? Now onward to the omccup. Remember those rewards? Sign up with a roster of 15, but then have 9x ship reward and 6x dubloon rewards. HAVE FUN FIGHTING IT OUT AMONGST YOURSELVES WHO GETS WHAT. Seriously? Can you guys not get these basic things right? Are you really that incompetent? Just a straight up 15 times the same price for all participants was too hard? Beyond your professional powers? And then here we are, being told that "we're still looking into the rewards" after we explicitly asked for it. It wasn't even a consideration by wargaming to begin with! No thought was given to it! "NO ITS OKAY, THE PLAYERS LOVE TO PARTICIPATE IN FREE PUBLICITY FOR US!" - wargaming eu But everyone who isn't playing can win all these cool things! 150,000 dubloons worth of price pool! Are you guys actually taking a piss here or what? Frankly all of this is downright insulting. Wargaming EU, community managers you guys are blatantly incompetent and are doing a piss poor job at doing anything for the competitive scene. I honestly don't even personally care about what the rewards are themselves. It's about the principle of the thing, about wargaming showing some elemental damn appreciation to the players that put in all this time and effort. Yes, I lost my calm typing this post. Yes, I realize this is just screaming into the storm because I don't expect a single bit of actual commitment to betterment. There, got that off my chest.

    Clan System Feedback

Can the clan tag be moved to the front? Like how 99% of all games in existence do it? The interface is already weirdly unaccommodating for the very long names it allows, but this just straight up hides the clan tag.

A-aren't we? ...If I had a prize for everytime I get price and prize confused... Now its really nice to see the community manager being unwilling to answer a question and seemingly unable to edit the page to include the teams. That was sarcasm by the way. It's not nice at all. WG EU showing off its continued prowness at not getting basic things right.

    Economy in 0.5.12 - a Detailed Look

Nice, so not only does the hakuryu receive a flat 80k increase in repair costs for all the 90% of all games you don't get damaged in it. But it also straight up receives 19% less credits in addition to that. And then this chart somehow claims there is a 14% positive balance change? lol. This economy change has made the high tier carriers pretty effectively unplayable without premium. These numbers are super skewed to paint a pretty picture. To quote my own post that 80k straight up extra tax to play a ship that in the vast majority of games doesn't take damage to begin with, is killing this. Plus the 40-50k you straight up earn less on a good game. Spin this any way you like WG, but these new economy changes for CV's are hosed.
