How many profiles do you have in game?

Last question seems broken. Shouldn't we be able to choose more than one answer? -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
So it really was you Your name looked familiar but at some point I got really tired last night but tried to sink some more stuff anyway. -
Just any division will do. Your divmates do not even have to sign up for you to have a chance of winning. Only if they want to win as well

Best way to counter radar is to take out the ship that has it. Always remind your team to focus radar cruisers at the beginning of the game. I stopped playing DD a while ago so radar usually is not a thing for me and I keep forgetting about how much of a threat it is. And since most of such cruisers are Russian, many teammates will comply If you see one, call target on him. If I play high-tier BBs, a DD having an enemy radar cruiser within radar range often means said cruiser is only 11-13 km away from my 403-460mm guns.

I understand that all too well No offence taken. You pretty much surprised me in that position, and I just saw you slowing down and expected you to turn away from me so in the end you got caught by the shells. NC shells are lazy but at this close range there was not much you could do really. RNGwise I was ridiculously lucky that game. Just a minute after, I deleted a full-health Atago/Takao and ended up with 4 frags iirc. If it's any comfort to you, after that game RNG screwed me all night though. Maybe it got angry because we lost. Seeing I lost Karma after the game, I returned the report thinking it was you. Sorry. Will give back your Karma next time we meet -
Team, please don't go opposite sides of the map, play your role, and other tips
deadly_if_swallowed replied to TheCinC's topic in General Guides
Yes, exactly. Don't launch torps if there are allies in front of you. Even if your launch sector is clear, your allies might turn into it at some point. Sending torps after a fleeing enemy strongly depends on your torps, the distance, and the enemy ship. In most cases, the enemy's rear profile is so slim he can dodge at minimum effort, or the target ship outruns the torps eventually. Might work but is usually not worth the salvo. -

I met Shaka_D tonight, and I got reported for deleting his Edinburgh with a single NC salvo from 8 km (?) away -
Two radical CV changes that could help greatly
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Syrchalis's topic in Archive
Regarding Bot CVs: I think some players may dislike playing with or against bots. So you should get an option in settings whether to allow CV bots in your games or not (or at least to meet them more or less frequently). Regarding fighter removal: Eh... It's one way to do it and I liked the USN strike decks, but I am not quite happy with a general removal. There must be another way. -
Change ARP Kirishima Mission, Ship Torpedo -> Every Torpedo
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Generalisator's topic in General Discussion
Boring for most players? Are they that good at micromanaging 5+ squads that gameplay gets boring? I struggle with CVs because they are exhausting- 35 replies

Hipper > Roon. Yet again I ask your highly valued advice
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Ferry_25's topic in Cruisers
Huh, that's strange. Just yesterday I took Hipper for some spins again, and citadelled an Amagi at 14 km a couple of times. Non-pens usually occur if you hit a BB's lower belt at 17 km. Good hits to superstructure can hit for 5-9k without much trouble. Then again, she may just be a "cursed ship" for you Just as Murmansk is for me. -
Hipper > Roon. Yet again I ask your highly valued advice
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Ferry_25's topic in Cruisers
I don't think you can actually compare Roon to Hipper that well. Just take her as a Nürnberg on steroids. If you like Hipper's guns, just wait for Roon's upgraded turrets (which are Hindenburg guns) and stack that with the reload mod. German AP railguns with 8.8 seconds reload, no dispersion. Armorwise, Roon felt a bit tankier than Hipper to me, but her turret setup encourages kiting and sniping more so that could be the whole trick. Roon can push okayishly but her turrets limit her versatility at times. And you have less torps than Hipper in case you actually get that close. -
Change ARP Kirishima Mission, Ship Torpedo -> Every Torpedo
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Generalisator's topic in General Discussion
/signed. The only ship I use for torpedo hits on a consistent basis is Scharnhorst... It takes ages to gather 200 torp hits, especially while playing T8+ to hunt Russian ships.- 35 replies

Team, please don't go opposite sides of the map, play your role, and other tips
deadly_if_swallowed replied to TheCinC's topic in General Guides
You cannot predict your teammates' evasive or offensive maneuvers. Especially with long range torps (7km and more) torping from second line of battle or from a flank often results in teamkills, even if your target zone was clear at the time you launched. There are always exceptions but take this as a rule of thumb. Just try not to do it. -
To "Iowa" or not to "Iowa" that is the question...
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in Battleships
I did not even bother buying the B-hull since stock Iowa is already a great ship by itself C-hull is a game-changer though thanks to the rudder shift. The other buffs are just a bonus.- 78 replies

Personally, I'd rather have Yorck and Hipper
-
In this case I'd probably go for Yorck and Chapayev. As much as I love Admiral Hipper for her multi-purpose capabilities, Chapayev may be the better T8 trade-off for the T7 ship that comes with it. Yorck is average in every aspect which makes her so strong by being exceptionally balanced. Shchors, however, is a floating citadel with very poor maneuverability and no armor. I had some great games with her but she does not offer anything special (i.e. Chapayev's radar).

Atlanta is so great with Seagal. Just imagine those poor gunners inside the turrets being pushed to the wall on every turn

Is it poor form to ask the forum to look at my stats and offer advice ? If not.....
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Red5kunk's topic in Newcomers' Section
Most importantly, you need to know a lot of basics to fully understand Flamu's games and why he does what he does when he does it. If you like a specific evaluation of your playstyle and actions you might want to join divisions with some of the more experienced Forumites, or maybe use Strangers123's replay analysis service -
To "Iowa" or not to "Iowa" that is the question...
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in Battleships
I got Montana recently and I am surprised about the difference in armor. But in the end, I like my Iowa better. The speed allows for wasd haxx, the turret placement encourages angling more (Montana's 4 turrets lure me into showing more broadside), and the sharp bow angle works wonders against incoming fire. And T9 has easier MM imho - the ship does pretty well against T10 but you can also end up picking on T7s with these wonderful 406mm/50cal guns.- 78 replies

Some players obsession with stats. What's up with that?
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Runner357's topic in General Discussion
Finishing position on the minimap, or the position/rank on the team results table? If you mean the square on the minimap, I'd rather suggest the average distance to nearest enemy cap or nearest enemy ship upon ending. But I'd like the positioning on the team results better. -

ARP Takao? nah, prepare for the ARP Nachi pain
deadly_if_swallowed replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
Ships usually have nationalities, not religious affiliation. -
T8 is considered the first tier of "high-tier" battles. T7 is usually a breakthrough tier in nearly all tech lines, and the highest mid-tier. T6 is usually a stepstone tier that can be quite punishing at times. T9 can sometimes be matched with T7. T10 is usually matched T8-10. But T8, while they can face T10 enemies, they can also meet T6 scrubs and wreck the fudge out of them. Making T8 cruisers even stronger (or rather durable with heal) will completely mess with the mid-tier bracket. Keep in mind that all T6 battleships, the natural counter to cruisers, is still within the dreadnough era, while T8 heavy cruisers are advanced WW2 warmachines that can outgun and outrange any lower ship of that bracket. edit: Just saying I do understand the point. Still, I'd like to have more different consumables for more versatility overall.

no copensation after being tk

You received no compensation because your repair costs don't change by getting sunk. However, he had to pay credit and xp penalty.
