Latest Dev Blog what a complete desaster

It already speaks volumes about you if you go to Flamuu for your informations. His ONLY selling point are his rants about World of Warships, no matter how good or bad it actually is, he sh**s all over it. How about reading through the dev blog yourself and forming your own opinion? How about not watching the biggest potty mouth the WoWs community has to offer for your latest WoWs info? If you really wanna have a serious discussion, dont start with "according to Flamuu". ´Cause neither he nor his usual clientele are interested in anything but causing uproar and drama, over-exaggeration and utter bs. The only upside of him is that when he streams, at least for a short while, the rage kids are a little distracted and don´t roam the ingame chats and the forum as much. As for the new cruisers... seeing how early they seem to be in development I wouldn´t light my torch and grab my pitchfork yet. WG is known to change stats up to practically the last second before live release, so we have to wait and see how these ships will turn out - expect the first actual glimpse once they hit the community testers and they are allowed to post proper previews. Then we can talk.

Operations are made easier. Are you seriously?

Shitty team then. Whats new? Seriously though, had two consecutive runs on Killer Whale yesterday: Run 1, all objectives cleared, only two ships lost, rest of the team got to the end zone, mission accomplished. Run 2, all objectives cleared but my fellow captains were a bit chaotic, resulting in all of us getting killed before the mission could be completed by reaching the end zone, mission failed. The outcome of these changes wildly depending on whether or not you and your teammates are, as they say, with your head in the game.

    Congratulations Wargaming

Fortunately general definitions are not dependant on whether or not you care about them. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/customer "a person who buys goods or a service" And it really ain´t my business if you are a customer or a user. MY point however still stands. Now, you´re contradicting yourself here. You say the game offers value - and 2 lines later you say the game currently doesn´t offer any value. Which one is it? Also, the fact something has value (relatively speaking) does NOT automatically make you a customer by simply using it. See the dictionary link above.

    Congratulations Wargaming

You are only a "customer" if you pay money - if you dont believe me go look up the term in a dictionary. If you merely play the game for free you are a user. Nothing less, but nothing more either. And as many of you so eagerly state you guys aren´t spending a dime here. So, you are NOT customers. "Capiche"?

Glad you like it. What can I say? The utter pointlessness of your and your fellow... unhappy folks.... "arguements" still occasionally baffles me. Wasting so much time being angry about a game is, in itself, already at the very least stupid. Trying to force change by being obnoxious though is somewhere between insane and laughable. And every now and then I still wonder if maybe some common sense might help. It clearly doesn´t. And btw, anyone who really thinks Wargaming is the worst offender in terms of monetization is either blinded by their "crusade" against WG or naively underinformed. And that, at least, is based on hard facts easily found online. Ultimately, you may do as you please, of course. I´ll be having some fun in the meantime.

    2022 Santa Crates "short list"

This. Lets stick to the facts. Idle speculation on a topic like this is a waste of time at best, stirring additional unrest at worst. If some moderator reads this... maybe put a lock on this thread. Its completely pointless - and thats saying something in this forum.

Dockyard aint a battle pass. You may want to look up terminology here. Similarities exist, but yet it is different. As far as predatory goes... might I refer you to Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts. While WG certainly aint subtle about their money making offers they are far from the top. Last I checked you - or for that matter, anyone else who frequently cries their little eyes out here - were not a founder of WG. You are a user, and unlike the original creator of something your stakes are far more limited in this, even more so if you don´t leave money on the table. Also I have a hard time believing that the way the Colonel went about his grievances was even remotely as.... how do I put this nicely... ah, yes: ineffective and obnoxious... as some of you lot are. "Wah wah wah, remove this, remove that, WG is sh**" Yeah, if I was a decider with WG I would TOTALLY listen to you and take you seriously like this. For sure. Absolutely. Bonus points for the umpteenth repeat performance.

    Congratulations Wargaming

There was a time when "premium" consumeables existed, paid for with in-game credits which in turn are available for money. These consumeables were made standard and the requirement to pay for them was removed. The fact that we now have a battle pass only has one surprising element to it, and thats the fact that I am surprised that it took WG this long to implement one, seeing as such passes have become common practice elsewhere ages ago. Other than that, the fact remains that you can get most stuff in this game for free just by playing it; you are certainly encouraged but not forced or required to spend money to be combat-worthy. Apart from this the only other thing I see in here are the usual rants about cvs, subs and other mostly marginal bs. Seriously, quit playing or quit whining. And if you have quit playing, what the heck are you still doing here? All boiling down to my initial statement in this thread: you know where the door is.

Frage zu U Boot Container 50.000 EP

    So, the Malta is coming...

... a nice new T10 carrier that I´ve been looking forward to eve since I saw its announcement. So, you may ask, why this thread now? Ah, it seems Malta will release on or around the 14th, aka in two days. The ship has been announced to be available for coal and I´m delighted to hear that this too is true... at a DELAY. Wargaming apparently decided to release Malta on friday for doubloons / money FIRST, then release her for the promised currency coal TWO WEEKS LATER. As if the already questionable pricing and semi-gambling wouldn´t be, shall we say, hard to bear at times... now, once again, they do a cheap FOMO* pull on this new ship. @Seraphice Would you kindly tell us, if you know and are at liberty to do so, why the Malta is not immediately available for coal as well? Why the delay? Its not like the majority of players has the roughly 260k coal just stashed like its nothing, so some will go for doubloons / money anyway, be it because they dont have the coal or because they wanna save it for something else. Why do you guys want us so badly to spend money? Again, its not like some of us dont spend anyway. The scheme at work here is what slightly angers me. I´d welcome at least a short reply - I promise I won´t grill you, I know you don´t make the decisions behind this *FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out, a much criticized tactic of companies to get customers to spend money by making even "normal" things rarer or harder to get at first, playing on emotion and lack of self control; aka abuse of those who want the sparklies rather sooner than later. Sadly not all of those people do have the money required for such an urge, meaning some go into deep debt. And yes, I know, the use of this concept by WG is nothing new by now - however the fact that they now split up an individual release over time to get more money is something they only started doing a while ago. Oh, and by the way: anyone who just wants to get snarky can fobb off right away. This topic is not another opportunity for some of you to sh** on cvs in general, this is about the marketing strategy once again at work here.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

I´m sorry, the "I whimp out because I just dont want to" is not counterplay, its just a di**move. But then again, fits the bill perfectly for some people here.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

You keep confusing a high proficiency with personal experience. I also don´t like to get talked down to like this, edited. You may have the knowledge but your attitude stinks. Although at this point I really dont care anymore how much you do or dont know. Im just glad people like you dont have much say in how the game is tuned. But if you really are THAT good, how about you enlighten us how to properly counter subs. I´m sure your awesome self knows something. And it would actually probably be helpful and on-topic. Just lay of the condescension.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

And because they have no need to evade they never get sunk "Man, it is almost as if you have no clue what you're talking about." I checked your profile. You have incredible experience and apparently a high level of skill. I´m sorry to say this, but in regards of making a general statement you are actually overqualified. You are far above average, you know how to use vessels close if not fully to their potential. However this is not the case for the average player, and the game has to be balanced around the average, not the very good. Going by your assessment would make as much sense as going by the experiences of someone struggling to hit a large mountain at 4 km. Because such a player would probably say that this and that is too weak and needs to be buffed. I do know what I´m talking about as I talk about my own experiences. I´m by no means a great player, but not too shabby either. So my experience and therefore my recommendations differ from yours. Proclaiming I have no idea what I´m talking about simply because you have a different point of view and experience is, again, arrogant at best. Over 300k damage in the U-2501? Big respect. But as I said, this basically shows you are way above average. Adjusting anything due to you showing what its max potential is is not feasible as most players rarely if ever reach said potential.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

A similar base problem exists when being attacked by a very sneaky torpedo dd. The only difference is that those are easier to find. A well-played torp dd can sneak up on a flank and fire a massive volley, striking anyone who "made no mistake" yet was just a perfect target. Similarly, when attacking with a sub, you can sneak up, line up a good attack... and your target can then move out of position, making most if not all of your torpedoes miss - as so far even a well spread volley only consists of a maximum of 6 torpedoes at a time. If you fired homing torpedoes you can reduce the chance for your target to evade by using pings but at the same time you practically place a clear marker on your position. This is another key difference between subs and dds - a dd, at the far end of its torpedo range, is faster and more maneuverable than a sub and does not have to ping, firing broader volleys with more torpedoes. This allows the dd more time to reposition and thus potentially evade detection. A sub however needs more time to reach a new "safe" position once its approximate location has been revealed due to its lower speed and poorer agility. The one major advantage a sub has is the chance - CHANCE - at sneaking up close undetected and firing a volley at close range. This however is only feasible if the target is a safe kill and or does not have allies nearby, for the action of going to at least periscope level makes you visible at close range and invites immediate retaliation. Also, keep in mind that most subs only have their torpedoes to do any damage. If a sub is forced to run a major evasive action it usually cant fire as the tubes have a limited angle, whereas most dds (often while dropping smoke and evading) can use their guns to get some return fire in. In short, some people are just pissy because their love for parking near islands or in open water just got tarnished some more as doing so within the engagement range of a sub is practically an invitation to get attacked. Adapt. Mix up your tactics. Be aware of your surroundings. Submarines are NOT what happens when you mix scuba gear, The Flash and Batman into one controllable unit, despite several overblown claims to the contrary. They are quite vulnerable, and as is the case with all vessels in this game, have situations where they work well and others where they dont as much. Ah, and of course, the player also makes the difference. Everyone makes mistakes, some more often, some less. Claiming one can "usually" only get sunk after making a mistake is highly arrogant as it implies that there is no chance for others to just be better in one way or another other than you yourself screwing up and thus giving them an opening to strike you.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

Indeed. Odd how frequently you do see subs in action despite the haters claiming "noone" wants them. Pathetic exaggeration, as always. And while I do believe that they will settle in at a lower appearance rate once the initial "rush" is over I guess we will keep seeing them at least at a similar rate as we do see carriers, with little ups and downs in active population every now and then. Btw @Captain_Lootbox I hereby would like to apologize for somewhat hijacking your thread; your honest request for a tactical / strategical discussion has devolved into the usual moshpit of thick-headed loudmouths vs more open-minded not-so-loud-mouths. Seriously, aren´t there already more than enough threads for all you anti-sub whiners to go to and puke your guts out? Do you have to trampel into every.damn.thread. that is even vaguely about subs to rant about what you perceive as oh-so-godawefully wrong? Freedom of speech is one thing; drowning almost all "conventional" discussion with your endless ramblings another. This borders on actual griefing and harassment. And I believe there are rules against this. On topic: I believe I brought up at least my personal experience in using as well as countering subs, somewhere on page one of this debacle that started with a valid question.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

And with this statement what remained of my respect for you is gone. You know, the odd thing is that often enough I see people getting sunk while playing a sub. And thats not because they are bad players, at least as far as I can tell in some fights. If statements like yours wouldn´t be so incredibly pathetic I might actually be well entertained - but the realization that people like you apparently are serious is first and foremost sad. So there are classes in this game that differ a lot from the standard formula of "ride around on the water and shoot stuff" - wow, big whoop. Yes, good players can influence a game greatly. Oddly enough though noone seems to mind when someone does this in, say, a Shimakaze, a Halland, a Minotaur.... or any other of those more or less strong-in-certain-aspects vessels. I´m not saying all is fine, hell no. But its far from the mess doomsayers like you make it out to be. Kudos at this point to @Ze_Reckless for actually doing what I generally recommend when you are no longer happy with the game. You don´t like it anymore, you stopped. I respect that. Maybe El2aZer and a few others should follow your lead here.

Faszinierend. Ich ziehe ja eher selten über WG her, aber diesmal... ... wer hat denn da so einen großen Schei** gemacht? Wie geht dass das in exakt diesem Spielmodus "Probleme mit dem ASW" auch nur entstehen können? WtF? Naja, dann eben ohne erstmal.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

With "teammates" like you around I´d prefer the average Co-op bot any day. At least they put up a fight. It also puzzles me why sub players are branded as griefers. So you dont like that style of playing, fine. Denouncing people just because they like certain ship classes in a damn game is about as mature as hating on some person because they dont pick the class YOU think they should play on a game of Overwatch. This aint your game, you dont get to decide on the rules. Using any given ship class to its potential is playing. Griefing, in the sense of the word, is practically impossible in this game. Subs are part of the game. Subs are part of history. Dont like it, dont play. And if you play, PLAY. Behaving like an overgrown toddler to somehow get the world to bend to your infantile will is questionable at best; an outright ban-worthy di**move on average.

Good sub players, how have you learned to counter subs

Let me guess, its along the lines what dear Yedwy proposed. If your best tactic in this case is to just quit the fight instantly... damn youre one bad player then.
