T-61, what time today (Friday 10th) will it be credited?
Varian_Dorn replied to BeauNidl3's topic in General Discussion
I think you don't understand… 12 hours ago, the period ended during which you could spend doubloons to qualify for receiving the T-61 today. As Conway mentioned the team, after 02:00 this morning, had to start and pull the spending results from the servers and then credit T-61 to everyone who spent enough. I find it odd that it takes this long, but yeah, we can only wait... -

Yeah, that was the time at night when the event, aka the spending period, ended. Aka about 12 Hours ago. -

Wait a minute… when Conway said "all four clusters" - does that mean everyone on this planet has to wait until all server regions' spending logs have been evaluated until T-61 gets released to anybody? … so, assuming the worst and there's a problem with one of the clusters, which makes the process take way longer than it should, but all other clusters are complete… does that mean everyone has to wait even though some people could theoretically already enjoy their prize? If a "cluster", whatever that exactly is, is ready, push the damn ship out the door so at least some people can get to play it already. Also, while 23:59 at worst case would technically also still be friday… I consider the line "T-61 credited: Friday August 10th" mostly a mostly broken promise if the damn thing doesn't arrive before 18:00 Hours - as by then three quarters of said friday would be over. Yes, I can be almost childishly impatient at times, but COME ON. It's not like we didn't invest here. -

This better be a joke. -
So, correct me if I#m wrong here, but I thought that such things as "Dreadnought" "First Blood" "Devastating Strike" and the like ARE in fact what is called "Heroic Achievements". But so far on every occasion I scored one or more of those they weren't counted for extra points as "Heroic Achievements" on the Go Navy! points screen you get after a battle. So, do you have to do something else that qualifies as a Heroic Achievement in this event or is the damn score function for those outright broken? I'm one of the few Eagles, btw.

Ah, thanks. That clears this up a bit.

I'm actually glad to that since 0.7.5 hit live the amount of carriers has dropped off to only Maybe 1 per side every 4 - 5 games or so. The less of those unbalanced pests, the better. Seriously, there is NO other ship type in the game that can influence a battle as much as a carrier can. I can't wait to see what WG decides to do with them… either rework them from the core or remove them completely. And I say that despite owning some carriers and actually having good old Langley as one of my most successful ships of all time. On topic though, AA builds really ensure that if a cv is present you stand a fighting chance to repel it. And up until 0.7.5 at least I had a hard time getting matches without those big buggers. So carriers aren't the flavor of the month right now, especially with all those US cruisers around and more of them coming? Good thing. But I keep my AA builds anyway. No reason to get dramatic.

Can someone at Wargaming kindly take his EDIT and check on all those false informations and missing missions? P.S.: The "2600 Miles of Indianapolis" Mission wasn't there for me as well, at first. It magically appeared AFTER I had played a battle with Indianapolis.... Objective: Play a Battle. *sigh*
-
Seriously, Wargaming? Either reeducate some of your support peasants or fire "fine" examples like the one the OP shows us. BASIC. KNOWLEDGE. DAMN!
-
I'm wondering about that too. Where is the Mission?

Sounds almost relaxing, for a change. Thanks.

t-61 The T-61 is everything I hate about destroyers and I love her [PREVIEW]
Varian_Dorn replied to Hayashio's topic in Destroyers
Dang. They're Holding back a lot of ships at the moment, from what little I know so far. Some of them for months by now. -
I like her, though this is more of a personal tick of mine rather than any expression of value. She's not the worst battleship in the game - but she's outperformed by most of her tiermates. She looks nice to my eye and can land quite heavy hits, but she's not very reliable to do so and has a difficult time staying alive herself.
-
So, it seems testing has ended on the ship. I've recently encountered one in battle, so.... what's the word on Zeppelin? How does she perform now? When will we see her in the shop again? P.S.: No, didn't have time to take a close look myself, was busy fighting. Also, I'm interested in Information, not personal opinion.

Gonna pick this up now.... any word on the T-61 and Z-39? -
Bah, anyone who makes a thread about something that's less than a minute search time on the News/Forum deserves what's coming to them. Use your eyes and brain in tandem - and if you fail at that, be prepared to both get your question answered AND dutifully pointed out how lazy/incompetent you have been. You're welcome.
-
Late to the thread, just wanna say: I really liked my time on the Richelieu. She is indeed an upsized Dunkerque.... but I found her armor to be good, especially bow-on, solid secondaries with good range, good AA, excellent speed and agility - capable of outrunning / cathing up to most cruisers, and a decent main battery. An assault ship through and through, excelling at pushing forward and hunting down enemies. Well suited to lay ambushes with a bb where the enemy won't expect something that size. It's only weakness in my opinion is the looming threat of losing half your firepower or even all of it if your 2 main turrets take too much damage. Other than that, I had a lot of fun and awesome moments and games with the Richelieu. And did I mention it's almost absurdly high firing range? Only Yamato has more range.
-
Many cruisers rely on being somewhat agile, avoiding damage altogether by dodging it or at least limiting Impacts to a minimum. And while engine/rudder damage is rare there's nothing more show-stopping than getting your rudder locked or your engine blown out when you really need to get out of harms way. With Last Stand you retain most of your maneuverability even after suffering such damage. One less worry to have when under fire. And you guys know RNG.... hits you when you least want it. Now, some may say these points really can be spent better.... and they are right, for their playstyle, for their experience. Me? I'd like to play it safe on this, so all my destroyers and cruisers run Last Stand.

Last I checked, this game is supposed to be about team play anyway. Yes, I know, "supposed", because some people play this like Call of Duty or something. Still, in those cases when good teamplay does happen it usually brings about awesomeness and win.

So, what I'm seeing here are some people who think Musashi isn't worth it, not a good ship. Others expect her to be quite powerful, worth the price. And then there are warship Hipsters who think a straight forward battleship is "boring" (I know why I stopped watching that blabbering baffoon Flamu). Basically, to me this means that Musashi should be good at being a brutal battleship and bad at being fast or being able to defend itself against planes. Which sums up most of the battleships in WW2, if I remember correctly. I'm looking forward to buy Musashi tomorrow. I like the Yamato, even though she's only the second best BB at Tier 10 in my opinion (the best being the Kurfürst). A Tier 9 version of such a vessel is most welcome to me, as I greatly enjoy those few instances when big ships square off in close combat - or when you engage multiple enemies at the same time, guns firing in all directions, tanking a lot of damage just so your Team might get an opening to do some good. In short, can't wait for the Musashi to arrive, and with the now fixed cost of 750k FXP as well as the adjusted reload time on her guns.... I see good times coming. And I sure won't sit back to "snipe" with this ship! Engines to Full! Let's go!

And while I'm aiming at the standalone Hood offer myself come June I certainly have to disagree with "possibly the best T7 BB". Try Scharnhorst for that title. Hood, from what I know, is a decent battleship, but the best T7? Just no.

Edited. So yes, they created an awesome game. And yes, they do keep supplying us steadily with new stuff to play with, both free and priced toys. And it sure ain't easy to keep games rolling on a high level. STILL! that does NOT! excuse their at times remarkable lack of providing Information and their extreme lack of good PR. And for that matter I am still puzzled why they treat their server regions differently, especially when it comes to content release and events. And PR. Why not just have Events be IDENTICAL everywhere, at the same (localised) timeframe with the SAME rewards? Why not release new stuff, especially premiums, simultanously? And why the Edited is it so hard to put up either full info on a new (ANNOUNCED in this case) event or a message explaining a possible delay TIMELY (as in, NOT half a day late or more... or never, as has happened in a few cases)? Goddamnit. This post has been edited by the moderation team due to inappropriate remarks and swearing

Alrighty, let's try a different approach. Everything you buy in games like these is, as far as I know, not considered your property but rather a rented item - ownership retains with Wargaming. You are free to use it as much as you like, it's exact properties however can be changed at any time as the actual owner sees fit. The ONLY reason that Wargaming and other studios rarely make full use of their rights in this regard is simply because it would piss off a substantial amount of customers who in turn would not spend any more money on their products, or at least significantly less than before. But, using an exaggeration here, if they decide to transform your beloved Tirpitz or Kutuzov or Saipan or whatever from what they are now into, let's say, a giant minivan that shoots cornflakes out of it's tailpipe then it would be within their right to do so. You don't agree? Then explain to me what you think will happen they day World of Warships gets shut down - assuming of course you still care enough to even notice by then. Do you really think you will be compensated in ANY way for no longer being able to access "your" ships at ALL?
-
Except he couldn't since if I remember correctly the kiev wasn't around at the time of the release of the Blys. Also: try outrunning a Leningrad :-)

I always wonder what part of "subject to change" people tend to not understand with games. Plus seeing as the ships you mentioned aren't exactly new additions but have been around for quite a while, this is almost comparable to trying to get a refund on a car that already has 100000 kilometers on the clock just because the road got bumpier to drive on. Sure, the change bites, but then again the features of the ships themselves have not been changed. So actually I hope your request falls on deaf ears.
