Hi for starters I like to play DD's (the US line I don't realy like the IJPDD's way of play) and I get it the Wargaming nead to force you to choice thet thet "what's more important for you your time or your money" deal and all and they inlcude the option to pay of your capatian retarning completly wiht in realy money but they shoud realy reduce the amount of EXP you nead for genereal retraning. I'm mean I saw a video about the hige tier captian retraning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rypVfXHFhRQ <----srsly wtf you grind more EXP at thet lvl to retrain your captian for a new ship then you hade to grind to get there in the first place ,thet's broken) and I whas thinking as a DD players: Soooooo I can choise to play twice as mutch games I did to retrain my lvl 18 captian ( I don't have one yet but points a little lather after rant) after I switched it to my tier 10 US DD and DON'T have situational awarness at all for a long LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time or I can dismiss him get a new captian ho have the situational awarness skill fresh and start grinding for last stand and co. (the struggel is real) And let's look away from 20 skill point captians even if we look at say 11 skill point captians the amount of EXP you have to put in them to retrain them for the new ships is huge as well even if you half it. By the time you retranied him you already can switch to the next tier by then which is no fun. I get it thet there skills are 50% turned off till retrained but serously why WHY did you make the situational awarness skill completly turned off?!?!? I get it thet wargaming whant to get money out from the player base but in the current form of the captian retraning requirments it's bad as hell. Wargaming realy shoud change the current sistem of captian retraning some way like: -captians have to play a set amount of matches for retraning instead of exp like at skill point 10=20 games skill point 15=50 games and you coud reduce the amount fo rounds wiht credits by 1-2 rounds on low skill point cap and 5-6 matches on higer skill point captians and ofc leave the option to skipp it completly by paying dublons. -make situational awarness yousable even when captian is retraning somebody can say thet "captian skills aren't neaded they are only pluss stats to your ships" yeeeees.....no have you played tier 6 DD wiht out situational awarness? Let me give you a little spoiler it's not fun and thet's tier 6 I can't even comprehend the horrors thet's waite for me at tie 8-10 wiht battleships thet can one shoot me from the other side of the map becouse I didn't know thet the japan dd whas spoting me for like 10 min's in game becouse my derp captian sudnely forgoted how to youse the spy-glass becouse he entered a nother ship and we all know the 4th dimensional warp mind break effects when we enter in a new ship/car/tank/plane/what ever right? Right. Long story short: Re design the captian retraning sistem in a way thet you don't have to spend HUGE amount of time (and I'm mean HUGE amount of time not huge as managable) but big amount of tim still so players can decide to grind it up or pay it up for you and they don't feel completly FORCED to pay it up becouse the grind it up time is to mutch and it's easyer to create a lvl 1 captian for tier 10 ships then retrain thet lvl 20 captian if you actual grinded yourself there wiht him. Thet OR make situational awarness yousable completly even when retraning serously thet skill isn't a "it's cool to have" it's a must have. OR make it 50% turned off liek every other skill by halfing the range on it NOT completly turning it down. (It woud be nice to know when a IJDD started to spoting me is still betther to have a respond time bigger wiht 3-4 sec then have none at all and sail nose first into a full salvo of HE by 3 cruisers and get detonated to space). Also if you guys have tipps for me how to dodge this nightmare on hige tiers I woud be thank full if you share it wiht me thanks.

Hi a few weeks ago I posted a topic about the soviet destroyers and us destroyers thet will the soviets thake away the the name destroyer hunters and gunboats from the americans the soviet DD's are out but the few posts I saw where mixed feeling's about soviet DD's half of the people says they are bad the othe half says they are good some people says they do crap damage others says they do tons of damage but I'm still undecisive about them. I love the american destroyers they fire fast they have good turet turn speed they got good (now becouse russian dd's have now the worst invisibility range in all 3 destroyers) invisibility range and on tier 8 and up good torps but there shell travel time on long ranges are hard to aim (for me atlest if I try to shoot a cruiser from max range I have to look away from him to make sure I lead my shoots where will it be when they finaly land after climbing the mountain and the thaking there relaxed ride down and mostly it still miss by landing next to them). Overaly they are jack of all trades they are good at it I have some awsome matches them where I sink ships wiht my torps or gun them down but most of the time I get gunned down fast and or make a kamikaze run becouse the enemy team is working as a team and the japan dd's spot me for the cruisers to thake down so yeh I have good games around 40-45% of the time not good but okay in my opinion. But. Now what the soviet DD's do what is there role in the game? I heard they are mini cruisers so there 130mm guns are good in higer tiers? (7 tier and up) I know thet there torps don't even worth a mention (except when you can ambush a enemy behind a island and co ,also dueling enemy DD's is always nice when you relase a horde of torps and forc them to eather try to shoot there torps on you and die turn around and make them eat bullets) and there invisibility is the worst now in the DD lines but there turrets have mutch bether aim then the us dd's and on hige tiers they get good torps too but there main weapon is the guns. Now what is the role of the soviet distroyers exactly? Are they scouts? Gunboats? (<--are they good at it?) What do they as a DD bring to the team if there torps on most tiers have a bad range (serously I thought thet the 4.5 km range US torp range whas bad but the 3 km is a completly joke like 95% of the time). Are they worth to grind to hige tiers or they are more bad at hige tiers then us dd's? Becouse us DD's are good on hige tiers there guns fire rapidly and they geting good torp ranges too but those shell arcS and trawel time ugh. (By the way if any of you guys coud give me tips or tricks or something to how to aim wiht the americans guns on long range becouse I have these problems wiht there cruisers too ,not mutch to say about the battleships becouse I didn't played them to mutch yet so no walid opinion there from me for now).

    Soviet DD's or US DD's?

    (Not native english speaker so I'm sorry for my grammar mistakes if I have any. Alos not a pro player avarage/noob in my opinion so please theke my opinions and facts wiht a grain of salt. Thank you) Hi I only started to play this game for like 2 months but I fallen in love wiht the DD class. They are fast nimble and my favourite looking ship typse in the game but. I don't liek the IJP's DD role wer mutch never played thet line but maybe i change my mind lather about it how ever I love the US's DD's they can do so mutch set enemys on fire spot enemy's hunt enemy DD's (which is jap dd's mostly) but there torps range mostly suck till tier 8 and up. US's DD's considered the gunboats in the game and people say it they are mini cruisers but I hardly feel it liek thet since I have low armor and most cruisrs don't I can't shoot them to dead from full hp but they can easy and as I said US DD's topr ranges are bad mostly (how ever I experienced the 6 km rang torps on tier 7 liek a miracle sended by the gods for my loyality to the US dd's and the fact thet I didn't shank my self becouse of the huge amount of bad games I experienced in the game in US dd's). So saying us dd's are gunboats are liek saying a wather gun can put out a forest fires. Sure they can but why woud you youse thet instead of a fire hose or a normal hose. So yeh the dps is hige but alose the shell velocity and the travel time for the shells on long range so if you aren't a pro wiht aiming (which I have no shame to admit I'm NOT a good aim on long ranges still trying to figure it out but hey we all have to try to improve ourselfs no?) you going to have a bad time. So now SUDD's are coming out and sofar all I can see is thet they will be faster and there guns going to be able to thake out enemy cruisers almost if they woud be cruisers themselfs too I alos heard thet there shells have a mutch lower velocity then the us ones and thet's help a lot on long range shooting which it seems SUDD's are going to be good at. Sure there torp range on low to mid tier going to be bad but it's something I got yoused already in US dd so nothing new there for me (except for the fact thet there torps seems to have a super fast speed of 70 knots add the fact thet they are fast and managed to get cloe to you in time to shoot thos torps from thet close range and good luck to dodge those in time but the con is the DD have to get in range for it which is well inside of his ships detecting range agans US dd sindrome.) But the guns seems to be realy good which problably woud knock out the US DD out from there DD hunter position or make it a competitive and we can aruge thet the US dd's have a good dps and turret turning speed whiel the low to mid tier SUDD's don't at hige tier the SUDD'S get I think almost the same turning speed like the us one's and 8 km ranged torps too. And yes it seems thet there concelainment seems the worst from all tree but thos stats looks liek isn't mutch 0.5-1 km max give or thake at worst? I'm realy torn up right now I'm at tier 7 in the US DD line and I whanted to get my hands on the Fletcher and the Gearing becouse both of them seems to be fantastic DD's good guns (huge dps/sec) good torps (outside ships detectibility range) good AA ("good" "AA")and they look fantastic. But now wiht the SUDD's seems betther as a gunboat then the US ones and faster whit the same bad torps on most tiers and I can't decide thet shoud I keep grinding my self there or give up on thet and grind my self up in the SU DD line becouse so far they seems to be betther at what the US DD can do mostly in the fights as in gunboat first torpedos as secondary/situational weapons second and as higer and higer we climb on the tiers there guns and torps get betther ad betther when we sudenly reache tier 8 where they are become realy walid. I don't know if I'm sad becouse I put a lot of time in US' DD line to get to the higer tier becouse I realy liked thet jack of all trades aproach they have compared to IJP DD's which are long range snipers but the russians seem to do thet gunboat approach betther then the US DD's do and I love this gunboat playstyle I like to play as a cruiser here and ther but I LOVE being a DD. What do you guys think? SUDD's: Will they be op or up? Will they be a good choice? Will they tear away the crown of the USDD's title as gunboats and DD hunters? Shoud I waite for the soviet DD and ditch the US line? Shoud I stop my rant? (obw yes I shoud)

    Okay so since the new DD line the SUDD's is going to be the gun boat wiht there good guns so there main role problably gona be shooting the distracted enemys and/or finish off dieing ships and get citadell hits so weaken enemy ships fast which is greate in my opinion. Alsoe the japan dd's remane the long range snipers wiht there long ranged torps. But what about US dd'S? What will be there role on the game after the SU dd's? The SU dd's dosn't have a good turning time on turrets as the US one have and there visibility range is a little worse then the US dd's but when they see you and shoot you it's going to fell liek a cruiser hite you and not a DD also they will be the fastest ships sofar in the game so they probalby going to thake away the US dd's roel as destroyer hunters? I'm mena us dd'S cna fire fast and turn there guns fast but SU dd's by those guns types can hit you way harder and I don't know about there aim but if I heard corectly the SU cruisers havea a flater shell travel line which woud make easyer to hit targets from long/max range compared to youse dd's where you literaly have to look away from the enemy in the aim mode to lead your shoots on max range (and yeh I'm bad at max range aiming but practice makes the master). So what do you guys think ho get what role as a DD captian in this game after SU dd's will the be the gunboats or they will be something else?

    Thanks man I realy neaded thet I also read the tread but I didn't know what to think about it becouse by stats and the rumors I heard thet in WoT the developers liked to favourite the russian line of tanks making them betther or even OP compared to toher nation lines and I whas fearing thet thet 2 month so far I spended in the US DD's get flushed down in the toilet in the next month.

    Destroyers nead betther AA

    (Not native english here sorry for grammar mistakes) As the I said destroyers nead betther AA at tier 5 and up. I don't complane when a enemy outplay me fair and square but for the love of all thet balance it's frustraing to get perma revared for the hole duration of the fight becouse the eneny carrier (which most of my matches are pretty unharrased becouse of the lack of carriers in our side) parked one of his fighters on the top of me forever. It's not fun. It's not geting beaten becouse skill. It's plain to easy for carriers to shut down destroyers from the other side of the map and even if they lose thet squad they sand there 999 other air squad on us. Destryoers AA shoud be buffed more. I get it the cruisers suposed to be the best at AA but for serously WG buff the destroyers AA so if the enemy park there planes on us atleast let us thake those down. Special if we god forbid thaken down 1 of there plane squad they simpely swarm us wiht one more and one more and one more etc we can't get rid of them but they can sit on the other side of the map harrasing us literaly on the other side of the map this nead to be changed. Make our AA so we CAN punish carriers for yousing this cheap and easy gimick of theres on us becouse what's the point if I have a smaller detecting range if the carrier gona mark me for the entire map for the hole duration of the game at this point we coud get rid of the stealt factor of ours and mark us on the map forever revared for the enemy team atleast carriers coudn't get the satifactor thet they ruined somebody game for the 1000 time becouse they can park a plane on a destroyer permanently. Something nead to be changed: -let us out run there planes (serously if we are sailing away from them in a straight line and they folow thet line they can catch up easy) -buff our AA so we can thake down planes parked on us at easy (yes at easy becouse carriers at tier 5 and up have a retarded amount of planes so they can perma spot us forever) -make air detectability mutch lower on destroyers and/or make smoke completly invisible us to them.

    (not native english speaker so sorry for the grammar errors) Hi I have been wondering thet why is no assist revard for killing a ship together? I'm mean right now if 3 players shooting the same target right now thet 3 person is trying there hardest to deliver the killing blow to the enemy so they can get the kill ribbon (which I don't know but one of the most rewarding ribbon in terms of XP?) and one of them get's it whel the others get the hit ribbons at best. What's worst is thet when you are trying your hardest to kill a enemy you almost got him/her and sudenly a DD comes in shoot 1 salvo and he steal away your kill (I'm guilty on this one I hade a match where I got 4 kills and only one of them why actualy my kill the other 3 is pure luck thet my salvo whas the finishing blow). There shoud be a kill assist ribbon in the game so even if you don't get the kill or somebody accidently stole away your kill you woud still get revarded for the fact thet you assisted in bringing down a enemy ship. Maybe the assist ribbon shoud be tided to I dunno dealing 20% hp damage of the target ship current healt or max healt or I don't know. But it woud finaly remove the stress thet ho gana win the roulet when multiple of our team fireing on one ship thet's about to die and everybody woud finaly get revarded not only the lucky guy ho landed his/her shoots last.

    Oh so thet's how xp gain works in this game? Doing damage to the enemy ships and not actualy killing them? Thank you for telling me this man.

    Oh so thet's how XP work? I thought the only way to get a lot of XP per match is to kill enemy ships and caping points came second and hitinh nemys give the litlelest amount of XP. Thanks for telling me this.
