I loved the old version, with the oblique map distribution, the huge amount of small islands near the spawn and then more open space to the north.

The issue was you relying on a reroll division. A real unicum division would've helped, rerolls are just meh. And ofc, yeah, the reward system does not reward teamplay.

Hate to break it to you, but since when is XP earned showing that you played for the team? All it rewards is damage. That's why I suggested solution 2 to OP. Easy as hell. Plus, you are always a contender for top spot, even if you don't play for your team.

WG had to put a small barrier in this bronze league. Getting to R1 in bronze is way too easy. So now three options: Put your carry pants on and play to win, Take out an HE backline spamming BB and play to save your stars; Go in full grind mode and eventually you'll get there as well.

Don't let anyone discourage you OP. If you want to buy and not play you are the ideal customer. So keep spending money, but don't complain in a few weeks that you're not having fun, not winning, people are cheating, HE is OP, DDs are OP, smoke is OP...

and do you guys actually play all those ships? I have around 150 and I play like 10% of those on a regular basis. All others are more or less collecting dust and snowflakes.

There's always an odd duckling somewhere. I mean, spreadsheet can't be 100% accurate when it comes to CVs and fun right? @DFens_666 I'm just doing snowflakes in ranked. Playing every ship once, some even with a 3 point captain or so. Doesn't make a difference, every single game is a steamroll, win or lose.

Maybe because the odds of getting Makarov was very high. We don't know this, because NOWHERE does WG list the odds. Yet somehow people are offended when some ships have way higher odds than others... Please quote me where I called them liars. You think you will get a medal for defending all those people who bought something without knowing exactly what they bought? Really, where did they say it wasn't random? WG stated: you have a "chance to win 1 out of 107". Nowhere did they state the exact odds. Hell, they've said multiple times that the odds of getting those very rare ships (missouri and such) is way lower than others. So what you percieve as "not random" is in reality just different odds. It is not illegal untill you have a court saying it is. The foundation of our legal system: "innocent until proven otherwise". Erm, because WG sets a price on everything (silver/doubloons/steel ...). Alll that currency can be traced back to real money. So if you buy containers with real money, and the value of the contents (when converted to real money) is more than what you actually payed: you got value for your money. Not hard to understand, otherwise: why pay money yo WG at all? You get only virtual stuff. Not even a DVD with the game on it. And yet, people have been getting other ships even before havind all ships from the shortlist.

I got makarov out of the one container @Saltface gifted me. And the furst free small container gave me the Viribus Unithingy. So I guess all luck was used and I should only expect deto flags from the tier X snowflakes.

A better question would be: how long before meaningful changes will be made. I mean, it took them almost two years to do something that actually reduces hosho clubbing. So don't get your hopes up on the sniper bb thingy or reduced torp protection... My prediction: they wait 2 - 3 months before doing some useles changes (see guys, we listen to your feedback) and maybe onebor two ship updates...
