Let me point towards another way of combining these two. Most people here were talking in case of subpar DD players and dieing to radar. Let's not forget that there is an equal percentage of subpar radar cruiser players. Players that don't know where to position to make (effective) use of radar, people that don't know the range of their own radar, people that only use radar when they can also shoot ( resulting in yolo radar or no radar), people simply lacking situational awareness and thus forget to use radar ( not looking at minimap, cap indicator, team chat, quick commands).... Yes all radar cruisers are really a great menace. Case and point: ranked game where a solo yugumo wiped out our off cap flank (oland, balti, kron) without getting spotted and without those ships using radar (or hydro for that matter iirc). Yeah, radar is very dangerous indeed...

Honestly, if you can't deal with DDs you are probably playing the wrong class. As for being afk: you should get banned from ranked for a week. Why on earth would you queue up for a ranked game and then not play that game? It's a 7 vs 7, so one player less has a huge impact on the game. As for not getting steel, I get my steel all right in Bronze league. Costs me about 20 games in 2 weeks for my 600 steel. Easiest steel I ever got.

All ships here can be obtained for free, just by playing the game. If people want to spend money on something that's free: their (stupid) choice. But for WG these are free obtainable ships. Moreover: we don't need such overmatching BBs and limiting Alaska and Mogador is great to allo for ship variation.

So, I looked at your stats: - FDR: You have experience in Midway. The planes on FDR are somewhat like those on Midway (armament style wise). But if see you prefer Haku over Midway, so in that sense I wouldn't bother with FDR. Also keep this in mind: the planes are mindboggly slow; - Stalin: You have no supercruiser experience, and Stalin isn't exactly the easiest one to start with. Just think about this: how many supercruisers have you farmed since captain rework in Smolensk? They have become way more "fragile": - Bourgogne: A BB in name, but has smaller calibre guns, reload booster and speed boost. So you do not play it as a typical BB. Map awareness and ammo selection are key here. If however you like the static sniping role: skip this ship. I guess I'd advise you to go with Bourgogne.

Because you have simpletons like me playing the ship after an absence of a few months. Plus I have next to no experience in new CVs. So yeah, I drag down the stats To our pro CV player stating that FDR doesn't lose planes. Well, I lose planes in FDR That being said, ship is still OP by virtue of being a CV.

And why would this be a bug? It is after all the way HE works since like ... forever Your conq HE can already citadel and set fire at once. But what you call bull others call: choosing the correct ammo type. Some targets require HE and others a volley of AP. This is something you as a captain should think about whilst playing. No. Choose the correct ammo type. If that is too hard, well... then this game is maybe not your cup of tea.

Because he was a bad player he lost 10 minutes on one guy. Sure he didn't kill @ForlornSailor. He restricted his gameplay and usefulness. A good CV would have either killed forlorn or picked a more appropriate target. So the most influential ship on the red team didn't use his full potential. -
what he means is that 65% WR in CV is more like 50 - 55% WR in another class. And doing it in the OP FDR puts you more towards the lower end.

As there are maye 5 - 10 times more shima players than Midway players and player skill distribution is fairly equal for all ships I highly doubt this. Are there more red shima players than red Midway players? Yes, but a factor of 5 - 10. Learn to quote my entire statement and you will understand what I said. You forgot this: "The maximum solo WR one can achieve in a CV is way higher than other classes." So let me ask you this: what do you consider the most OP tier VIII BB? Now go and get the same solo WR in that BB over 300+ games as you have in your Enterprise. Yes, clearly people who know how to play CVs really find that they win less games in a Midway than any other non TX CV... For bad players this is valid, and you know why? Because this is the most influential class in game. Sucking in said class is a major drawback for the team and will result in more losses. That's how YOU think WG balances ships. It is however not what WG stated during the video sequences Flamu showcased.

WR for a class (with at tier X only 4 ships ) that exlusively gets a 1 vs 1 MM. So the total of all these games will always be 50%. What WR could show is which CV is stronger than others. However the population playing a Midway is way larger than the population of an FDR (availability). So even that is skewed. As you have all the red players dragging down the stats (and there are far more red players than purple ones). That being said, what WR does show is how strong the class is by looking at individual players. The maximum solo WR one can achieve in a CV is way higher than other classes. You might want to check your math here: CV K/D : 1 / 0 = infinite DD K/D: 10/10 = 1

I really like the tier VIII. The tier X just doesn't work for me. RNG keeps saying: though shalt not stack DoT. And well, then they suck.

I really like your proposal here. Agreed. 10 km is too low imo, for many BB this is already "brawling range". I'd prefer 15 km ( still [edge of] combat range for most cruisers, mostly medium range for BB), I don't have issues with BBs pushing to 15 km, it's those behind this limit that annoy me with their deadeye sniping ( as they usually don't sit at 15,5 km but always more around 20+km. ) That would create even more dumb CL gameplay, sailing full broadside to get all guns dakka dakka. Plus, allowing HE citadels is not really a good sign to give to a BB population that is already resorting way to much to HE imo. So, don't really like this. I like, but well.... one can dream I guess? I guess because T7 are in such a terrible state: yes. Then again, when you match tier V and tier VI cruisers in with VII and VIII resp. they will suffer a lot. So I like the idea, but needs finetuning imo.
