Some unfair aspects of fighter vs bomber

This post shows your problem, you are a *********** that thinks he knows everything. Even when the entire forum is telling you: you're doing it wrong, you'll still keep saying: I am the god of WOWS and you must all obey my commands. A word of advice: if you want to be taken seriously start listening to other people, and don't dismiss what they are saying in your "I am the king" style. There are players who can do that ( when talking about carriers Reyte would be one of those, or Flamu ) but they've proven that they know the game, it's mechanics ( even the undocumentend ones lol ) and know about teamplay. You want to become one of those elite players: get yourself a youtube channel, upload your best games ( say 4 a week ) and see if you can rival with those amazing players. My bet ( and prolly a lot of other's ) is that you can't, because of your attitude. Now on to your post: - are you one of those people that needs a manual for everything? Clicking on the minimap works fine, or if that's to small, play cv with map open and only switch to birdseye when you are going in for an attack ( or a strafe, but you don't do fighters, so that should make it easier for you ). If you are to stubborn to try it, your choice, but then don't come crying on the forums that you lose games cause you refuse to use all available game mechanics, - you don't see torps coming? If you are a good cv player you know when you are spotted, so you also know when torps might be coming. If you haven't been spotted all game, and you know how to position yourself you are very unlikely to get torped. And if does happen: use the magical wasd hax. Plus, as soon as torps are spotted, they appear on the full size map, - True, I've never played CVs. That's why I share advice in a topic on CV gameplay, because everyone in this world is like you: knows nothing but still claims to know everything and shares this view / tries to impose this view on everyone else. Protip: check the tab "Players" on the wows website ( I assume you can find this ? )

    Carrier Commanders and tactical advice

In ranked, asking for a cruiser to stay back with the CV is the most stupid move you can make. The amount of firepower is already limited, so you need to maximise it when focus firing a target. Those cruiser HE shells will wreck DDs, will put pressure on BBs and will annoy CAs. And in the current meta there aren't enough of CAs, cause DD/BB world ftw. So, rather than pulling one back to defend your useless cv, make sure you bring a cv that can defend itself AND be useful for your team. And the most useful thing to do is: - keep spotting enemy DDs - keep enemy planes away from your DDs - spot ships lobbing shells over islands - keep spotting enemy DDs - and when all of the above is done, try dealing some damage

Some unfair aspects of fighter vs bomber

    1. move planes around on mini map, easy as hell and doesn't require zooming, 2. - 4. bring a loadout thats's suited for ranked, aka bring fighters yourself...

Radar is OP (Not vs smoke)

The fact that radar has such a short duration kinda negates the OPness. So if radar does spot you behind an island, it begs the question: why did the ship pop radar and why were you behind an island. Most ships won't pop radar for shits and giggles, as it has a large cooldown. So they'll pop it if they suspect an ambush of some sort. In that case, your ambush got blown and you get spotted, to bad, try again next time. And he still won't be able to shoot you, so just wait out the radar and try again.

Another topic brought to you by SkybuckFlying ©. What on earth is the point of this useless topic?

stock hulls + CVs + matchmaker

I for one never said that, a BB should rely on his cruisers / multiple BB grouped together to fend of an air attack.

    Detonations

See, all you say is: I detonated, I detonated, I detonated. Without the other numbers ( amount of games played, amount of times died with/without flags ). You want us to go look for those in your stats, well I'm sorry: in that case all you are doing is just whining everytime you detonate. If you seriously want to prove there is a problem you post ALL numbers to have relevant statistics ( cause believ me, I for one am not gonna keep track on when some other random player has detonation flags ), otherwise it's just a saga of "times I detonated". And that saga is not a statistical data set that can be used. And this has nothing to do with us believing, statistics are statistics, but you do need the full set and not a part of it.

stock hulls + CVs + matchmaker

What you seem to forget is that the BB doesn't face an enemy CV alone. There is a team around him.

Which premium ship nets the most credits?

Find a premium that suits your paying style. That will net you the most, as you'll enjoy playing it. So you'll play it more and better.
  10. 159Hunter

    Detonations

Well, if you insist on giving stats, then provide us full and complete stats: - number of games played ( with flags / without flags ) - number of games where you died ( with flags / without flags ) - number of games where you detonated - number of ships killed - number of ships killed that were detonations Otherwise your statistics are useless, and will look like another "I got detonated" whine topic ( even if this is not the case ).

    How to solve teamkilling

I actually like double / tripple damage reflection more. It'll hurt you as well, and tbh, getting an immediate ban for an accidental teamkill is just terrible and over the top.

    Detonations

You seriously must be doing something wrong there/rng must hate you.. All I got in the same period was a detonation by Montana secondaries when my DM was at 75% hp. Really wanted to see the other guys face, as he was probably more surprised than I was. But then again, you play khabarovsk the entire time. Playing that without a flag is just stupid ( and you should have 40 flags now), cause you are visible the entire time and you will attract a crapton of fire thus increasing the hit rate. Play some BB games and you'll get detonated a lot less. DDs just detonate more often ( but then again they don't have citadels;.. )

beatyfull day after one relase patch!

He doesn't have them hidden, but his average damage is below par. WR is above 50 %, sure, but the damage is..... OP: seriously, if you think someone is hacking report them. But I really don't see/feel the same thing you see/feel after a patch release. What I do feel/see is that MM can just drop you in a potato team where, no matter what you do, you lose. This has nothing to do with hacking, but just some afk/camping/solo yolo/bad aiming people all grouped together...

    How to solve teamkilling

Banning for one teamkill seems a bit over the top. After all, accidents do happen. However, if a guy then continues this process and teamkill ( or deals a substantial amount of damage ) then sure, go for auto bans.
  15. 159Hunter

    Aiming is stupid.

How difficult is it? You try once, watch the effect and adjust accordingly. After a few games you'll get it... Also, the closer you get the easier it is to hit.

    Quick CV poll

So lining up your torps on the ship path prediction isn't clicking? At least a cv has to estimate the path of his torps

Baltiless. What am I doing wrong?

I suffered throught the Baltimore as well. In the end I managed to get some decent games in it ( damage wise ) but never did get around enjoying the ship. Not like Pensacola and Cleveland. But the reward for playing Baltimore is well worth it, Des Moines is amazing. I guess I could try playing Baltimore again: - Dive in bow first, - It is a brawler, but since it has no torps you need to be careful, - Use islands for cover for ambush/spamming some damage in BB

smoke consumable -NEED- to change: rank 5+ discussion

Nobody is saying you don't know what you're talking about. Don't act like a drama queen.

smoke consumable -NEED- to change: rank 5+ discussion

Yep, you come up with a fix tied to one problem. You don't look at the mechanic that's causing it: one ship on a team sees an enemy ship, the entire team sees it ( when in rendering range ). Now the only problem to fix the smoke isssue is to fix the mechanic mentioned above. No need to go get a fix that only works for one 'problem' and not fix it for another ( aka your solution ). And because the mechanic is actually needed to make the game playable, I don't really see a fix. Plus, this 'problem' can also be countered...

smoke consumable -NEED- to change: rank 5+ discussion

I agree that the current smoke is not ideal ( but there are far more pressing issues to tackle ). But your solution is just crap, you want to change spotting mechanics for ships inside smoke, and only for them? What about people camping behind an island you can't see, will you also negate their view on the enemy fleet?

    Detonations

I said I got detonated in 1% of my games. I did not say detonations cause 1% of my deaths, just check it out. He then also states: Almost every destroyer (probably around 10) I've detonated has had full or high hp. But has no numbers to back this up, cause they don't exist. And here the humand mind comes into play: You will remember getting detonated at full health, but you'll easily forget the detonation when at low health. Simply cause the latter was just a death waiting to happen, and the former just bad RNG. So the above statement has no value as it is not backed up by numbers. It's thea same value as you saying: Detonations are bad, or I saying: I don't mind detonations. It's a sentiment, and we can all agree to disagree on those sentiments. But if it really bothers you that much: stop playing destroyers, or use flags...
  22. 159Hunter

    Detonations

Where on earth do you get 10%, I clearly stated 1 %... But I'll indulge you, let's assume ( for arguments sake ) that all my 50 detonations were in a DD. I only use the deto flag on khaba, so that leaves me we 1450 DD games which is a detonation ratio of 3,5%. This still doesn't bother me. If I now add realy to the above, then I will also detonate in BB and CA ( and don't use deto flags on either of those ). In that case the detonation ratio will drop closer to 1 %
  23. 159Hunter

    Detonations

I don't mind detonations. I'll use flags on tier X DDs + ranked matches to prevent them, on all other I don't really care. Cause: - I get detonated at full health, but also when having a few 100 hp left, - I detonate others as well, it's always a shock to see it, you apologize and move on - Happens in about 1% of my matches ( and yes, all of them count as I have been detonated in a BB and a CA as well, a lot less frequent but it happens ), so that's hardly relevant

AA & CV's..This has gotta stop WG

It's a three part thing, look at them seperatly and they might be a bit week, but combine these three effects and you will have very good AA. Just get out you. Or do you want to reply to the last thing I asked you: Really, a dd that sails straight with planes nearby is a stupid as a CA sailing broadside to a BB. So all you have to do is spam some torps in the puff and you'll hit? And you know this from your extensive expererience in CVs? So I agree, maybe you need to learn about CV mechanics before exlaining all CV captains how they should play their ship...
  25. 159Hunter

AA & CV's..This has gotta stop WG

But this mechanic already exists: - first part is called 'teamwork': sail solo and you are an eas(y)ier target for a cv, sail in a group and you'll have massive aa (*), - second part is called 'wasd': use the keyboard and move your ship, the more you turn, and change speed when planes come in for attack run, the more likely they'll miss out on a part of their damage, - third part is 'defensive aa': yes only cruisers have it (*) and yes it's a dumb mechanice imo ( push a button and be done with it ), but it'll make getting bombs/torps on target even harder ( and even an atago with weak aa will have the same effect as a new orleans with great aa ). (*) higher tier ships 6-7 and up, cause tbh, all this sealclubbing some expert cv players do at 4 - 5 where there is little aa is just ridiculous. The new player needs to learn cv, so there needs to be a curve, which is good at that tier imo. It just gets wrecked by seal clubbers who want to boost their ego ( I guess ), by killing new players and then claiming they are amazing.... ( and yes, from time to time I take out my bogue as well if I need more AA flags, cause they are so easy to get at low tiers, and at high tiers I can shoot down 60 planes in a game and still don't get that flag... )/
