Let's openly discuss the biggest problem in WoWs - the absolute player base rock bottom degradation / decay...
159Hunter replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
You missed the point... by a few 100 miles... The point is those players don't even know the most basic mechanics and are as such useless. Ofc there will always be worse players and better players. But if even the bad players know and understand the mechanics you will get better games.- 40 replies

When will island artillery bug get a priority?

I would actually like to play the game, not spend my time doing WG Checks after every game... -

If this is sarcasm, it's rather unclear... -
How dare you say something bad about my waifu

Rather than using foul language, learn how to use a search function on the forums.

And please, do tell, where did I make a reference to CV planes?

Cleveland is the best ship in the line though. Seattle is garbage, and Wooster isn't bad, but it's just outclassed by a lot of other cruisers. Cleve is all about positioning: it negates the range issue (most of the times), cause yeah, there are these tier X games where all enemies go to map border to snipe. But that's only a few games. It does nasty things to destroyers and can seriously hurt other cruisers. But it's all down to your position: learn the good islands you can use at the start of a game and work from those depending on how the game develops.

Well, that's because 96% out of 0 is still 0

Depends, some cruisers should be played from safe-ish positions (eg US CL) gathering hardly any potential. Others require a more open playstyle (eg. French Cruiser lines) and will as such rack up a lot of potential dmg when played to their strengths. So if you don't rack up tons of dmg in US CL, you're prolly doing it right. If you don't get potential in French cruisers you're doing it wrong.

is there a possible way to overcome the 21 Skill Points limitation?
159Hunter replied to tonschk's topic in General Discussion
Well, this particular player has just shy of 3000 random battles. So over half of them are played in three seal clubbing ships. In due time, he will get to those numbers. -
Over 50% of the playerbase can't even reach 50% WR. And you expect them to understand a joke without any VERY VERY VERY VERY CLEAR CLUES ? Just saying...

Nope, and WG should actually limit the amount of cpn skillpoints for lower tiers to negate a sealclubbers' advantage. You know, like this [unnamed] player here: -
The secondary IJN cruiser line, all the way.
-
Don't play Alaska, it's OP in randoms, not so strong in 1 vs 1.
-
Clearly not, or your lawyers would've advised you to provide proof. You know, innocent untill proven otherwise.
-
As he stated multiple times before: a good CV player can deal with a Halland. If you can't, you're just not a good CV player.

@El2aZeR

Look at the ships he plays and you have your answer.

My port is full full atm (260 ships) but I still don't feel the urge to spend doubloons on them. I'll prolly sell some tier III and IV ships to complete my tier VIII - X collection.

Balance Changes — Public Test 12.0 (DB 404)

What's the reasoning for reducing Ragnar's continuous damage by 4? Sounds like such an odd value? -

I agree with @Bear__Necessities as well. Good players will be severly punished because there are too few of them. The vast majority of this playerbase is pure trash: well over 50% of the players don't even manage a 50% WR. So no thx, I will not wait longer because you'll end up with plenty of bad players no matter what. You want good games: get people to learn to play the game. -
As if being top of scoreboard means that you contributed to a win... One can get there more easily by farming dmg.

[POLL] Did you guys use the "Magic Coupon" by WG?
159Hunter replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
More importantly, are you WG's non-official polling station @Leo_Apollo11 ? -
How off that you failed to mention the one metric that actually shows your winrate: solo random winrate. Then again, someone who played 10000 battles and has a 56% WR but of those battles he played 5000 in Imp Nikolai for which he has 62% WR doesn't have a true 56% WR (because Nikolai is so "balanced"). Hence, you'll need some rebalancing of WR to account for stronger AND weaker ships. You need to add other numbers in ofc, but that isn't easy: Damage: I can go farm useless HE damage on enemy BB in Thunderer all day. I'll get very high numbers, yey. Then again, if I use that same Thunderer and smack some ships with non fully repairable AP I might do less damage, but in the end: I did damage that matters. And there is no way to track that in game (as far as I know). Plus: what is more valuable, a DD that does 40k damage (and sinks two enemy DDs in the process) or a DD that does 80k damage on 1 BB (and fails to sink it)...
