  1. Honestly, I don't have an issue with them. Happens in what, 1 % of my games? There are far more frustrating things ( terrible teams, which happen in like 40% of my games ). Plus, I get to dash them out as well ( and then I instantly apologize to that guy/girl ).

    They are in a terrible position because of the terrible gameplay (mainly the UI, which is just utter crap) and the huge powercreep at high tiers where even BB can become virtually no fly zones when sailing solo. So CVs go hunt DDs and such. This is a terrible mechanic and it is because WG have got no clue what do do with CVs and AA. They've supposedly been working on them for some time, but the lack of leaks or anything just shows they've got no clue. As for being overpowered, honestly: group up and their damage potential gets very very limited. And, ofcourse, put a potato versus a half decent CV player and you'll get an easy game for the enemy CV ( which still does not equal a win: I've played and won against Reyte in the past, check his stats: he's vastly superior in CV gameplay compared to my, at best, mediocre stats. The reason I've won: I had a team and he didn't, so maybe best thing would be: Reytes' team lost and mine won).

    Which is exactly what Avenger wants. Kill the only class of ships he doesn't play. @ OP, nicely written post. Too bad I fear you are right. 2016 was supposed to be the year of the CV, look where we are now and how 2016 was. WG have no clue on how to deal with CVs, yet they have the audacity to sell OP premium CVs ( Kaga and Saipan ) and sell weird CVs ( BigE and Graf Z ). It's a pity though, I'd have bought all of them, but unfortunatly CVs are in such a terrible position that I've started playing this game for free. Untill they come up with a solution.

    @Ph3lan Just another random one: you stated that: "the best questions will be answered". Who (and on what basis) will decide wether a question is good or bad? Are you implying that there is such a thing as stupid questions? Or are you looking for a certain type of questions? I know this is maybe a bit too much to ask, but it would be nice to know this in advance, so we can possibly stear our questions in the direction WG deams good (rather than spamming this topic with questions that have no chance to get answered).

    The biggest issue for me is that nearly every BB picks the Concealment Upgrade and not the Torpedo spotting one. There is something fundamentally wrong if BBs ( who should be the biggest, slowest and least manoeuverable ships in game ) can just play without an extra torpedo spotting tool and get away with it. So for me this implies that: - either the Concealment Upgrade for a BB is way to strong ( thus nerf it to say 8% ); - torpedos are spotted way too fast (thus buff torpedos); - BB turn way too fast (thus nerf their turning). In the end, I'd rather try to make the Target Acquisition System a viable choice for a BB, so I'd go for option 1. And by doing that you'll also create a (slightly) bigger concealment gap between BB and CA.

    Honestly, not going to give you a number on completion rate. How can I? It's pure guessing cause I have no baseline whatsoever for the current rate of completion. What I'll give you is a number of players I'd hope would be able to complete it IF ( and I do say if ) ALL players READ the missions and try to play to complete ( which I sincerely doubt ). Sequence is for random battles only, I don't play enough PVE to know that scenery, what I do know is that you can't compare them, so it's useless to allow people to play the same sequence in both gamemodes. What I'd like to achieve is to get players to start playing out of their comfortzone to play other ships than those they usually play. And I'd like to give players some choice in choosing the way to complete and the rewards they get. So you actually feel like you can choose your goal and play for rewards that you need for your playstyle. Phase 1: Basic Seamanship Play and win 1 battle in every shipclass Ships of IV-X No limit to amount of battles Allow player to choose between: - 5 Damage Control Party II - 5 Defensive AA Fire II - 5 Repair Party II - 5 Smoke Generator II 80% Phase 2: Choosing is losing?     So what do you propose to do in standard? Have both teams sit in their cap and defend AND reduce the time limit? ( see where I'm going with this ). Honestly, there are many ways to play a standard battle, and well conceived lemming train ( one that actually pushes the enemy rather than running as soon as they see them ) will be able to reach the enemy cap. And there are some ships who are better at defending, so 3 or so ships, who know what their doing, can slow down the enemy a lot. But this requires team effort, so as soon as you see your team move, you better follow. If you don't then sure, you'll end up alone in the cap against the entire enemy team.

    First: mirror matchmaking for CVs is a must, whilst there is a huge AA powercreep at high tiers, a lone CV would be too powerfull. You need an opposing CV for some balance ( aka don't give you free reign ) Also, please don't sit in queue for 25 mins. If you notice after a few minutes that nobody else is there, leave and join again. If you don't, the moment another carrier joins the MM will most likely make a match with the ships available at that given moment ( so you could end up with a 3 vs 3 game ). Avoid this, and just retrigger the line every few minutes.

    Which shipline is, in your opinion, the line you are most pleased with ( from amount of games played and general balance to other lines ) and is thus the least likely to change in the upcoming patches. On the other hand, which line of ships are you not pleased with and why.

    Too many one-sided games?

    My favorite ( on Okinawa ) is team stating: let's go B + C, then your entire team lemming trains to A. Mind you, they don't actually contest the cap ( or use radar to spot enemy DD in there ), nono, they sail around the cap to the utmost northern point of the map. So when the enemy team capped A and B, they all focus on C where 4 poor sods were trying to keep the enemy from capping the rest ( needless to say how that went ) and finally after 10 !!!! minutes the 'team' starts capping A. Just great gameplay, but you aren't allowed to say anything because you're a noob who knows nothing ....
  15. Did sell my Emden, then I got it back for Christmas. So now I have that ship just collecting dust in port ( I don't dare sell it again, cause then the next SC will most likely contain an Emden rather than a Nikolai. )

    Special commanders: would it be possible to highlight ( in the captains' profile ) the skills for which said captain has a bonus? Would make it easier to figure out which skills were special for this guy.

  18. Yeah, another terrible game. Our CV dieing to shima so constant spotting in Kutuzov, and when I did smoke up the enemy GK kept blind firing ( and hitting ) my smoke from 18 km ( without a spotter plane ). All in all not such a fun game, but it's nice to see a familiar face.

    Looking at your own performance in CVs OP, I really wonder why you feel they need a nerf? As for being wiped out in one volley: BB can do this, DD can do this it all depends on the targets' behaviour. Same applies to a CV, he can one strike you if you mess up...
  21. It's people like this that make me play CV again. Just to rid them of their precious reports. Cause face it, no matter what you do. For some people it's never enough. Luckely the community isn't all that bad and these reports do usually get balance with positive ones as well. So OP, don't listen to the salt (it's not because one player doesn't like/can't play CVs, that you can't play/like it) and go play CV.

    11/16 and 17 duplicates. Too bad the last 3 days I'm getting nothing but duplicates. So I'll just try playing my daily two games to get my containers and hope I'll get enough duplicates to make it.

    And yet the most played BB at higher tiers are the German ones. The BB with the worst dispersion of them all yet people play them way more often. So it can't be that much of a problem. ( NB. Yes I know there are reasons why people play them, but it seems that gun accuracy isn't the main feature people look for in BB, else the benefits of German BB wouldn't outweigh the downside )
