RNBB fire spam self fulfiling prophecy

Beg to differ. Lion HE volley of 14k just hit my angled DM. Fun and engaging gameplay.

    Max 1 Carrier in battles.

So you outtiered the CVs. That makes it even harder for them. Tier IV - V CV: not even close to a problem as they have no more manual drop. Tier VI - VII: sure, they can hurt, but don't sail solo and you should be good.

    Radar spoting

Well, before radar smoke was a lolbutton that kept you safe as well. Just have a friend with hydro close and the one counter ( aka torps ) couldn't help. And that showed in the competitive meta. Smoke was a lolbutton without a counter. Radar was introduced as that counter. It's not a lolbutton: - one: you actually need to move your ship near a smoke to be able to have an effect. Which requires map awareness and brains, - second: it requires a form of guts as well, camping in the back with your radar ship isn't gonna make your radar effective. You'll need to expose yourself to some degree, - three: in very rare cases does a DD not see you before you pop radar. When this does happen it's usually in the beginning of a game when a DD rushes a cap and the radar ship positioned well ( see one and two ), - four: it encourages teamwork, look at Flamus' latest Moskva video to show how he uses his radar ( and how terrible his team worked on it, showing you that if there is no teamwork a DD has a more than good chance to actually survive being radared ); As for using a brain not being an argument ( btw your tier X - tier V example is ridiculous and not in the same category as radar vs smoke ): - not using brain leads to the braindead zombies chasing a CV in their BBs, - leads to camping BBs in the back, afraid to take damage for their team, - leads to cruisers only spamming HE and never AP, - leads to DDs spamming torps from second line, .... Need I continue? No, didn't think so. This game is already so easy to play, and yet people insist on dumbing it down even more. The quality of gameplay is already terrible because people don't think when playing. So using your brain is needed, for every class of the game. And for DDs (as for every other class) it comes down to looking who your biggest threats are in the enemy line up and adjusting your game accordingly once they are spotted on the map.

    CV's need their own game

Maybe, but prolly not for this reason. Cause then CL players will request a no BB mode and some CVs might request a no CL mode. So in the end, we'll only have battles between ships of the same class and clan battles.

    CV's need their own game

And Credits. So if that's no problem, go ahead propose it to WG in the Suggestions thread. But please, don't come back in a couple of months complaining that only BB and DD play that mode and that your BB can't detect the DDs and that they are OP.

    Radar spoting

@AnotherDuck May I advise you to share your lessons learned upon playing the Chapayev, the one radar ship you have? Do you feel that using radar requires no skill at all? Does every radar you pop spot a DD or another ship in smoke and said ship gets killed? Do enemies camp more when you are playing your Chapayev compared to when playing other tier VIII cruisers? As for radar having no counter: it has the easiest counter in game: using your brain.

    CV's need their own game

Well in this mode is called co op. These CVs are terrible as well. And if you really want a mode where CVs are banned, ok I can live with that: you don't want to play against 1 out of 4 classes hence XP and credit gain will be decreased by 25% compared to normal games.

    the "carry harder!" thread

Just the usual epicenter on tears of the desert (seriously tho WG, remove it): BBs camping in the back, the more higher in German tier, the further in the back. So in the end, got tired of it and did my yolo rush to the center. And we still lost.

    fixing aa vs cv

Now you're just showing off useless game knowledge

    Radar spoting

Step one when entering a game in a DD ( or MK or RN CL ): check enemy teamlist for ships with radar; Step two: determine their respective ranges ( easy for now, might be harder when WG fiddle with the ranges a bit ); Step three: move up front and keep an eye on mini map and your own sector, the moment one radar ship is spotted you adjust accordingly - still go for my cap or is that DM coming here?; - I can still cap, but I'm going to prepare my exit strategy ( which you must always do ) - no radar ships near my cap, cool, free capping continues Rinse repeat step three. If spotted by radar: KNOW which ships is radaring you and how many ships can shoot you ( map awareness is important there ). Base upon this, assess wheter you can stay put or need to run away. Also, plz enlighten me on how it increased camping?

    fixing aa vs cv

My Des Moines begs to differ

    CV's need their own game

The fact that you think they play a different game shows how little you actually understand of CV gameplay. Scouting is only the first thing that comes to mind. I do agree that a bad CV player will always lose the skies to a good CV player. However that does not mean that the bad players' team will also lose that game.

    iChase removed from WG-CC program

But it's weekend for her, and I don't expect her to do her job during weekends. Honestly, she executed her job to the best of her abilities and got rewarded with a ton of comments, not personally directed at her, but still. So no, I'd rather have them group together at Gamescom this weekend and come with a decent communication on Moday. @Kandly now leave this forum and go enjoy your weekend.

    iChase removed from WG-CC program

But even the NA ( or RU or SEA ) office hasn't given any decent update information on reworking GZ. I'm sorry, they are one company. And the actual game developpers ( you're not gonna tell me all of them are in Cologne ) remain very quiet as well. EDIT: I'm not disputing wheter firing iChase was the correct move ( I don't now the rules and such for being in the CC program ). What I find disappealing is their lack of a global strategy. WG is once again in a shitstorm and rather than getting a unified communication with their plan of action, all they do is add fire to the fuel ( Kandly's post saying l2p, firing iChase, releasing on all servers after shitstorm started in EU ... ). Seriously, how ammateuristic are you guys?

    iChase removed from WG-CC program

It's just sad that WG find the time ( while in their Gamescom hideout ) to fire someone from the CC program. But when the playerbase asks for a clarification on when and how the GZ will be changed to bring it more or less in line with other CVs they claim they have no time to answer this now, cause they're all busy at Gamescom. Seriously, your customer relations manager should go follow some classes to learn how to deal with customers. Cause the strategy he has layed out is just an outright failure.

    Remove Radar, Keep Sonar

Radar should stay, but it would be a plus if they'd take it into consideration for MM.

What was your highest "Potential Damage"?

Weirdly enough no. Sure, it'll hurt, but a lot less than say a Des Moines :)

What was your highest "Potential Damage"?

So true, the shells keep raining on you and really only continuous HE spam is very dangerous. The bounces of BB AP are just music to my ears. My last game netted me only 1,5M. I felt like I didn't tank enough for my team with 3 heals left and 75% HP as well. Prolly one of the best ships to rack up that potential damage. Dunno about the Henri IV, cause haven't played that one yet.

    French free flag weekend mission

I'm happy, no way I was going to complete the 35k grind in such short notice. So I'm glad we had a rematch to get it. I do understand the frustration of people who did manage to complete that horrible grind. And good luck getting an answer from WG, they generally lock and delete more topics than answering them. Plus, most of them will be busy with gamescom.
  21. Yep and I plan to test them. And if they look anything like they are today I'll play them like I play my cruisers. Meanwhile, I'll keep playing this game for free as WG seems to have their own stats that show something else than the community is feeling. But I have a tiny bit of hope left, call me naive but hey, a poor sod can hope right?
  22. @Kandly Thank you for taking the time and responding to this topic. I really hope we'll get to see something on Gamescom that show WG is planning to do something about the BB oversaturation.

    Yamamoto collection bugged?

But you can also start it once you've completed the campaign (as I am in no rush to throw money at WG for a collection )?
  24. Because the issues on those maps have been voiced tons of times. And everyone playing them in cruisers knows how horrible they are. As this is a rage post (which contents I fully support) he didn't bother explaining in detail. As for the second part of the quote. He has about the same amount of high tier games as you have sealclubbing games. And his high tier cruiser stats are actually good. So I really don't see why you should go tell him he's bad at playing...
  25. 1. Remains a matter of opinion. I hear what you're saying but if you lose 6 times in a row, are top two of your team every time, there's this feeling that I'd rather win one, even it's a 15 - 0 win. 2. Yes, but the problem remains. People will not know what their own ship is still capable off and thus they'll play very passive once they take some damage. 3. If you want to give cruisers a chance to be agressive, do something about BB instadeleting them, even when angled. I love to play agressive in my DM, but a BB that knows what he's doing will delete me. Doesn't matter if I angle or not. And that's why I stay behind islands. More so because the moment you do move in, the counter that shows ships aiming at you spikes. Every single time. Why? Cruiser = damage pinata for BB and every other ship is pinging to kill that radar cruiser ( guilty as well tho :) ) 5. They gave high tier German BB an amazing tool called Hydro. Explain to me why over half of them still sits in the back, afraid to push in. Not because of DD torps, because that's where the hydro comes in. No, it has everything to do with players not knowing the game ( a lot of them still think that the repair costs at the end of the game are related to the damage sustained ). So no, it's not DDs. You just can't fix stupid. 6. Des Moines vs Bismarck. I'll propably kill the Bismarck in 70% of the cases, but he'll set more fires that my HE ( if I were to spam HE at his broadside ) with his secondaries, and generally his secondaries will do more damage than his main guns. Because they are just so good at dealing with cruisers. If you get focus fired too much, get in concealement and yell at your team to come tank as well :) 7. AA cruisers could be usefull, but unfortunatly almost every single BB has such an amazing AA that he can almost get away with solo yolo if he knows what he's doing. Thus nullifying the need for AA cruisers. The fact that CV sniping is more or less of the table is good, it's just a very lame tactic. Don't get me wrong, I want better battles that last longer and make me sit on the edge of my seat. But to get those you need the playerbase to improve. WG can change all they want, but if potatoes don't even want to try to learn mechanics there's nothing you can do.
