Just enjoyed the 396k ish dmg game posted on Panzerknackers channel ( and Flamus' vid as well ). Seriously, WG wanted to have BB captains select ammo according to the target? Well they succeeded. Just shoot HE all the way and you'll win. Makes this line foolproof. No need to swithc ammo type anymore, just go for the all Reliant ( ***** on angling ) HE. GG WG, GG thanks for another gimmick line. One we really needed. -
Did I say the entire game? No, only when a strike is incoming do you need to hug one another. Otherwise you can sail around in a lose formation ( which most people do anyways ). Your lack of teamplay knowledge is unrealistic, hence your arguments are as well. See what I did there? I posted some crap logic. Same as you did. You know why the logic is crap: because the game is a MULTIplayer game. If people refuse to cooperate then fine, die alone and lose to divisions and CVs and what not. If you don't want to work together you'll lose more often than you'll win. In that case might I suggest you go play a SINGLEplayer game ( or coop, which comes pretty close anyways ).

And a BB that needs help from a cruiser to spot a DD or Minotaur in smoke can also just call this one in a moments notice? That's what you were saying and it's the exact same oversimplification as I did. So your hypothesis is wrong as well. Of course CVs split their squadrons. It's called damage over time effect. Hit once to trigger damage control. Then come again. Time between two strikes? 30 sec- ish. After that they rearm and it'll take minutes before they are back. As for multiple CVs, couldn't care less, my pov is only tier VIII and above, I don't care about low tier games ( as I just don't like those ). So yeah, in low tier games you can be right ( that is if the two CVs cooperate = aka they use teamplay ) ( oh wait, we cannot say teamplay is a counter to CVs because that's too hard, but you do use this hard concept of teamplay to point out CVs can be more deadly, the blasphemy ).

Nope, you have enough time in between strikes to position ( we're talking minutes ) so this can be dealt when needed. Unless you're saying that sailing solo yolo is good cause yes, in that case you don't have enough time to reappraoch one another.

And a BB sailing solo when a CV is in game is not amateur gameplay?

How so, not in the same extend? A Cleveland or Des Moines is just one ship that you as a BB need and you'll be safe from CVs. And all he needs to do is sail with you and pop DefAA. Same as my two examples. First one would be having a radar cruiser with you or a DD for spotting. Second would be having another ship around shooting that Khaba.

First point is to show the character of the person and the way he discusses on a forum. But for arguments' sake I'll agree with you on that one. No other ship demands teamplay? Really? - You're happily cruising around in a BB and then all of a sudden you get spotted and you don't see anyone. Then out of nowhere torpedoes pop up. You're lucky and manage to dodge most of them but you're so far away from your team that nothing can help you here. Do you feel confident to go 1 one 1 with that IJN DD torping you from stealth? - YES: ok, then you are right. No other ship demands teamplay - NO: you do need teamplay to help you out of this situation - You're happily sailing around in your IJN dd and then, oh the horror. A Khabarovsk manages to ambush you from behind an Island. Do you feel you need your team to help you? - YES: more guns on that Khaba while I run away will save me AKA teamplay is needed. - NO: I'll just outrun ( really how? ) or outgun ( really ?? ) that pesky Khaba and kill him withou any assistance. Need I continue to prove that teamplay is needed to counter other ships as well?

The problem with said rating is it takes premium into account. It doesn't take spotting nor potential damage. It has the same rating for all ship classes. It doesn't look at divisions. If you want to implement this, I had hoped you were a bit more creative than just some formula that's hardly taking a lot into account. So if you truly want this, it might be worth making a suggestion that goes in depth. Else it's useless to discuss about 'some rating'. -

Then if you're not looking to tax matchmaker any further and you don't want the perfect system. Can you please describe the system in detail? As you have a nice whishlist but I don't see a way to implement this. -
Normal weekend teams, sadly some teams can't be carried. Not even by a division.

Okay misread that part, my bad. But what skill would you use as base: - only the ship he's playing in ( but what if he hasn't played this is months so his skill might have improved?, he's not playing in division, but usually he only plays this in division ?) - only that class of ships - all ships What stats: XP ( all of those websites are biassed because of premium time, so we'd have to ignore that ), hitratio: sure, potential damage ok ( but this might be more important for a BB than say an IJN DD ) damage done, spotting? It's a very complicated thing that doesn't Always show easily in two or three numbers ( which is exactly what people look at when looking at stats: WR and dmg done ). -

And what will happen next? You'll have a league of unicums ( prolly filled with divisions, smoke meta etc etc ). You'll have a league with potatoes where sniping BBs, second line torping DDs and HE spamming cruisers is meta .... Honestly, I don't see how this will improve gameplay. What I do recommend is to make a PROPER and BALANCED set of tutorials. Is to give people classes in reading teamchat ( if team agrees A+B that means you don't solo C ). Or just outright link good YouTube videos in game ( Farah's CV guides, Notser aiming guide, Flamu gameplay vids .... please don't link Jingles tho, love that guy and his vids but way too much errors in his narrative :) ) -
So you're telling me you fit no AA modules / upgrades or captain skills on any of your ships because the majority of games is without CV? (a) Yes. OK, that explains your hate for the class as you'll have nothing helping you out if you do meet one. (b) No. OK, that's part of what El2aZer is trying to explain. You'll need a rebalance of modules, upgrades and captain skills ( removal / adding new ones ) and you'll need to reevaluate the mechanics between classes as a major threat of spotting will be gone ( DD, CA ) a major threat of damage will be gone when solo ( BB, DD )

Now this is the core of the problem. A terrible CV will always be outplayed by a good CV. And if the terrible CV' team doesn't stick together, they'll lose instantly. But you know, teamplay is overrated or cannot be part of a multiplayer game?

We all had battles without CV, ofc. And yet so many cruisers still take DefAA over Hydro. And DDs take DefAA over speedboost or smoke over torp reload. So if CVs are no longer an option then: - cruisers will no longer take DefAA and only Hydro. Making life so much easier for DD ( can't wait to play my DM like this, ultimate DD hunter, or Minotaur... ) - DDs will take speeboost or torp reload cause less chance to get planespotted. Hence their ease to remain in stealth increases dramatically. And that's just two consequences. How will you rebalance those two? A CV is not hiding in the back, you sound like some other guy ranting about their high survivability. What do you want them to do? Sail to the middle of the map and go brawl there? Really? Corrected your last statement.

And you continue to fail to see how important the threat / possibility of a CV in game is. NO CV = NO SPOTTING FOR DDs All ships will use hydro and no more DefAA Solo BB are even more powerful You know what? Maybe YOU need your own game. So you L2P and stop ruining other peoples' games.

Doesn't matter tbh, if someone has only 100 battles but can give me a logical reasoning as to why it is ok and not unbalanced than I'll accept it. But you're prolly right, I have yet to encouter such people -
