No idea how to spend my coal...
159Hunter replied to ReverendFlashback's topic in General Discussion
That's fair. In that case, I will draw your attention to Vallejo, who plays differently from all other US cruisers ( but, yes I know, it's not a coal ship). And you don't need the range either, 12,6 km is more than enough range to comfortably play this DD: you have your smoke and you can abuse islands. This aint an open water gunboat spammer with Ragnar or Smaland proficiency. So I still don't see why you would need that skill. -
Yes they do. The enemy still needs to spot them to fire on them, in the old days with the naked eye, nowadays with technological stuff. Remaining outside of detection range = stealth.

That's not an explanation if you want us to point you towards a ship. Explain why you don't like it, maybe some of those points will help to eliminate other options that are still on the table. No you don't, you can play FS perfectly with your normal US DD captain. Moreover, the captain I dedicated to it doesn't have it. I simply felt I could use my 21 points wiser that that small 5% gain in reload speed. -

Would help if you explain why they are hard passes. I quite like Tulsa. FS can be used as a captain trainer for US DDs. -
Why ALWAYS the game selects the wrong turret??
159Hunter replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
I dunno, one day he'll practice what he preaches I guess. -
Oh, but it's already showing in real society as well: "How dare you tell me to drop my phone and do my job. I have a life you know"

DD suicides and kills a BB doing a lil bit of spotting on the way.
159Hunter replied to TheNubination's topic in General Discussion
Just a random diagram: To answer OP: it is almost NEVER worth it. DDs provide: - spotting from concealment, allowing other ships to stay at their optimal ranges and when possible hidden to engage the spotted targets; - early warning against enemy torpedoes, allowing other ships to dodge them all; - counter spotting, by pushing enemy DDs away you deny the enemy vision resulting in a lot of big guns sitting idle; - capping from concealment, in order to push a DD from a cap you need to be in or near that cap, not needed for other ships; - area denial with their torpedoes, players are very hesitant to push on a flank with an enemy DD in front on them spamming torps. When could it be worth: - if it helps you win the match (as in: kill last enemy NOW or points will tick in his favor and he will win in 30 sec when clock runs down). Anything else is just showing you have no clue on how to play DD. -
My apologies, I missed your post (as there was no link ) Yes, that's the point of that topic. So have you asked one of the forum mods for a status on what they did with your info? @Seraphice might be good to comment on this one, before people consider your sticky topic useless.

Lolz.. I just realized how completely useless cap skills are for cruisers
159Hunter replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
Of course you cheryy picked that screen. Otherwise your avg dmg on Mogami would be at 100k. Which it isn't... -
We're at page 3 and so far not a single forumite has pointed you towards the sticky topic where you should've posted this. So, do yourself a favor, post it there so WG gets informed about this.

proposal CV rework: That we can choice which type of planes your CV carry in battle
159Hunter replied to VedranSeaWolf359's topic in General Discussion
So? Same as Minotaur only has acces to AP and Des Moines does not have torps. Weapon load out is part of WG's balance process. What you are proposing requires a total balance overhaul. -
Ok, so let me get this straight: some company is telling you that you need to spend money on their products or you won't have fun, is classified as a fact for you. But when a player who doesn't spend money on such products tells you he also has fun it is not a fact? You madam/sir are the perfect example of what's wrong with our modern Western society: must have it noaw noaw noaw. Once you can get past that, life gets easier. A lot easier.

Nobody is forcing you to use all types of CV planes. You can just stick to one type of planes... -
Oh, but there's always one who wants to play another game in the ship he/she just used. So I can at least annoy that one.
-
So what's changed? When a line is launched, you can also get all ships by grinding them. Just like it was in 2015 So you are telling me that I cannot possible enjoy the game because I'm not buying stuff? That's not how fun works.
-
You asked for them. Which shows WG they are wanted and useful. As such, they will be delayed. By a few years
-
Even if you give me the option, I won't use it. The last few times I was the last one left on my team it was, as usual, because it was filled with useless yoloing suicidal ******. So if I have to suffer that team, well: a) I'll make sure they'll have to wait as long as possible to mess up another player's game b) remind the enemy that not all players are killed easily

4 Battles on Hermes, 4 losses. From now it's like this...
159Hunter replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I know very well what's going in operations. I also know very well what ships can I can use to carry, and they are not exclusively tier VIII. You should see @lup3s in his French DDs :) He will wreck entire fleets of bots. -

159Hunter replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
If you have range issues in those ships then you are playing them very poorly in operations. You mention cherry blossom? Well, it's all about positioning, the night part is awesome for the ships cause it's all close range anyways. In the second part you just need to move go a good spot and not follow the lemming train. The fact that you can't carry in them, doesn't mean it can't be done. -

I know that, you know that, but it doesn't stop ppl from actually doing it. -

Wrong. If you know whay you are doing you will outpace almost every other player in fe. an Atlanta or a Nuevo. And imo, these ships are better than quite a few tier VIII in ops -

Upcoming ranked and Submarine BS XP Booster?
159Hunter replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
Flamu fired by WG? That implies they paid him at some point... Which they didnt... You might dislike the guy (and I get why) but at least get your facts straight. You probably meant to say: he got kicked out of the CC program. -

159Hunter replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
No, you don't need to make operations easier. When playing with ppl that can read instructions AND understand the game you can make them harder, a lot harder (with a few tweaks left and right like IJN CA HE fe.). However: - the vast majority of this playerbase is not interested in reading instructions, they follow the current flow in society where "me me me" is the most important factor. Why would "me me me" do anything that they tell me? "me me me" wants to have fun and every one who's not "me me me" can just sod off. - understanding the game is WG's fault. For years we've asked you to add tutorials in game, as a gateway before opening the flood gates of randoms to every new player. In essence this game is fairly easy, but you need a few basis notions (as ammo choice, how concealment works, how the UI works ...) Yet for years WG refused. Well, now you have the result: players that are clueless after 1000s of games. Combine the two and you get clueless players that are unwilling to learn. And now you get to a point where using boosters in operations is questionable when playing solo...
