Battleships are reduced to targets

I rate this trolling at 0/10. I was kind enough to reply on all your concerns, if all you have to say to that is this... Bring on the BB Bingo boys... -
Battleships are reduced to targets
159Hunter replied to Jack_the_Stripper's topic in General Discussion
Dude, the other guy started, I just countered his sentence. Ofc I have no intention of talking realism, it's a game and there's balance. But the easiest way to show that is give another example. -

And XP is percentage based so doing 20000 damage to a cruiser or DD will net a lot more than doing damage to a BB. So it's balanced there. plz enlighten me on how many DDs currently in game that can torp you from 20 km? which DDs can spam HE at you from 20 km? So then if you want to limit the amount of DDs, to 3-4, you wouldn't mind limiting BBs to 3-4 as well? AP already wrecks DDs due to a glitch in the game, WG is actually looking into that to fix it. WG wants BBs to actively change to HE to wreck DDs. And if you want to talk realism (breaking ships in half): what would one torpedo hit do to a BB? Damage control system is fine, you have skills and mods to upgrade them to very good levels. All it takes is skillful use. BB are fine and don't need more buffs. -
They can look at it all right, as long as they combine it with hydro and proxy spotting from behind rocks. It would just mean that radar ships need to reposition.

All I hear is you claiming something and not being able to back up your claim. And when somebody doesn't agree with your claim(or rather opinion) then you go on that they can't read. If that's your way of discussing then you can ignore me. Don't worry, I won't lose a second of sleep over that. Keep on crying about radar killing the game if that makes you happy.
-
Funny guy. For a guy telling me that I can't read you must certainly have issues reading. Tell me where I sad that I don't want DDs that cap (I said: I have no problems capping when playing DDs), tell me where I said I want CAs who hug islands and don't shoot anything (which is potato gameplay, a good CA player will move up closer AND be able to shoot) and where I said that I want BBs to snipe? Nowhere, it's just in your head that radar promotes passive gameplay because god forbit somebody could actually spot your DD in a cap or whilst sitting in smoke. What a terrible mechanic, a counterplay to DDs. How dare WG come up with this? But, let me enlighten you on how I play DD: - check enemy team setup for radar, CV and enemy DD (in that order), - check spawn point and see what the plan of the team is (if any), - move to closest cap point that fits the plan, - as I play a lot of radar ships I can usually predict the hiding spots, so I approach from a direction so I can either: - spot radar CA before he reaches that spot, - sit in a spot outside radar range where possible, - sit in a spot where CA can't shoot me ( radar ship is usually closest and will get off most accurate fire), - get out as soon as radar goes off. - whilst doing that you ofc keep a constant eye on the minimap to see if radar ships get spotted so you know how much danger is around. But hey, if that's too difficult to do, yeah then you can ideed stay back and keep camping and yes. Then you will have a boring game.
-
Boring? - If you are telling me that DD are camping in the back because of radar: bad DD players, I have no issues using my DDs to cap, spot and torp. You just need to be a bit more carefull and not yolo rush a cap head first without planning an exit strategy. If that is boring to you... - If you are telling me that the BBs are camping in the back because of radar then we're talking about potatoes who'd camp in the back anyways. So enlighten me exactly on how radar makes game boring.
-
Oh this again, maybe you guys should actually play radar cruiser and tell me how OP they are. Playing them a lot has thought me their strengths and weaknesses. Therefore I can't even remember when an enemy radared me AND subsequently got me killed (not saying that 1 out 10 surprise radar didn't hurt). You can play around it, it just takes some time to adjust how you play and then it's doable. @Excavatus DM radar with module is 56 seconds duration, standard cooldown is 114 sec with Jack of all trades, so add the flag and three DM can perma radar.

Well, in general are a lot more verbal when it comes to expressing their dislikes. So only looking at the crying threads is useless ( otherwise we could also conclude that most people hate BBs in their current state ). Yes, and at the tiers I generally play I don't see huge waiting queues of DD, CA or BB. Or maybe the fact that you see long BB lines is that they are overrepresented and the amount of other classes is okay?

Source for this statement, or is it merely a 'I feel this way thus the majority feels this way' kind of statement...
-
If only people would mind their own stats as much as they care for the stats of others...

It's easy: something you like more, you'll play more and thus make more money. Sure maybe less than in other ships, but maybe you don't like playing them. Earning money shouldn't feel like a grind. It's about having fun first with the added bonus of making credits I personally love my DM so I use that to make money. There are better ships to do that, but none which have the same enjoyable gameplay. Hence I bought that Camo.
-
Depends on what you like. If you like tier X games, sure go for Prem Camo. If you prefer T7 go for the premium ship
-
Simple: you don't see enemy planes the first few minutes in the game? Then you now a CV strike is most likely incoming and you should thus position accordingly. Wasn't that hard now was it?
-
aircraft carrier CV re-balance is it needed?....i think yes
159Hunter replied to Warhawk1984's topic in General Discussion
The real question is indeed, does WG think something needs to be done in the (third edition) of the year of the CV. -
Playing a 1000 games and sticking to tier V max happens as well. So only looking at amount of games is useless. I do like the idea to have an upgradeable ship, but for it to be viable for WG they'll prolly charge doubloons to upgrade it / give it a hefty pricetag.

Is this a build to keep or just passing through on your grind to Great Currywurst?

I do not doubt your sincerity to improve the gameplay and to keep it simple. Oversimplifying is not the answer though. Counterproposal: - Work with a PR (as sites such as Wows numbers use); - Use a PR per class; Only assign a PR after XXX battles + reaching a certain tier? -
Be happy the planes don't attack you to avenge the sinking of their ship...

ENOUGH ALREADY ... GAME BROKEN
159Hunter replied to anonym_CsauhrZtDqUP's topic in General Discussion
And I want realistic hit ratios for BB guns. And another thing: Iowa class BB we're designed to escort carriers... So who's the support class? And why is it unrealistic that CVs do more DMG than BBs? OH and: Torpedos are indeed broken. They get spotted too easily, so yeah: you're right they are not realistic... Fire is only broken if you don't know how to deal with it. And those players that keep shelling HE all the time will do so cause they are bad. Not because HE is OP (not talking about Monqueror here). -

Total WR can be easiliy manipulated (as in artificially boosting the number): - people will play with OP premiums, - people play in divisions, - people will sealclub, - some ppl will be great in BB and suck in other classes (fe CV), All this to say that: ONE fits ALL does not work. -

159Hunter replied to Johnny_Moneto's topic in General Discussion
If you want simple then all you'll get is people bending the rule and it becomes useless. But you know what's really simple: no WR MM rules... -
WG - Please don't have me play with people like this
159Hunter replied to Johnny_Moneto's topic in General Discussion
So you want SBMM based upon WR. You must be new here as this has been discussed over and over again. So answer me this: - Total WR / class WR / tier WR / ship WR? - Take OP sealclubbing premiums into account? - Solo WR / division WR ? - What about two friends, one 50% other 52%. They can no longer play together. Sounds like a good marketing strategy to you? -
Any plans for discouraging camping through gameplay/meta changes?
159Hunter replied to cuddlesRO's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunatly, cruisers at tiers IX and X have those. And the heal in itself is not enough to make them go forward. And this in the gameplay tierspread ( so a tier VI should be able to overmatch a tier VIII)? This kills torpedo DD gameplay. This kills a lot of (high) tier cruiser gameplay. Not sure I understand this you want radar to be a permanent thing? That would be reverting the latest smoke changes. Those changes already reduced smokecamping a lot. So don't see the need to change this again. If you mean: make them visible at any range like this: no need, just learn to shoot in smoke or get closer to spot. -
I really like Nurnberg (and Yorck to a certain extend as well). Hipper, now that's a German cruiser I disliked a lot. So I don't really see the need to buff the Nurnberg.
