WG FFS fix CV MM or lose all normal players
159Hunter replied to Adm_Hoshiko's topic in General Discussion
QFT -
And I want BBs that TANK. Not BBs that die because they overextended. That's your attitude in this game: over agressive. And untill you figure that one out you'll just keep annoying the people in your team because your attitude is wrong.
-
OP, it has been said before: Judging from your stats, you yourself don't play this game correctly. You play this game way too agressive. So rather than calling all other pussies, we'll call you a yolo rusher. The hardest thing is learning when to push and when to play a bit more defensive. And you still need to learn this skill. So yeah, if you want to be teamed up with people like you then you'll be with other subpar players who rush themselves to death. So you'll be playing a lot of very short games with a lot of losses. And if that picture shows anything is that you were matched with players from your level. As shown by you being sort of in the middle of the board.
-
Ok, that clarifies your position :)
-
Ok, fair point unfair is subjective. Let me ask you this: is this mod in line with the current rules in game, yes or no?
-
It's a money issues, WG had a deal with the franchise for a limited time. If they want to bring them again it'll require a new deal.

Ok WG explain to me how radar pick up targets behind an island ?

Have you ever tried the search option? Or did you just wait till the last topic on this died to repost a new one? -
Battleships are reduced to targets
159Hunter replied to Jack_the_Stripper's topic in General Discussion
Any cruiser missions ongoing? Or as Ysterpyp said, you sit bow on a lot you will attract a lot of incoming HE fire. I don't understand what you're saying here. This is just pure tinfoil hat speculation. There is no skillbased MM. The fact that solo players lose more than divisions is simply because 3 people have more impact than 1. That's why most people will have a higher WR when playing divisions than when playing solo. Offcourse, because you're playing in a division. So a good division has a higher chance to win, thus a higher chance for winning streaks. As for the big losing streak: your mistake was continuing after the third defeat. Just switch ship or take a break from the game. You'll only get annoying if you continu playing, and that'll lead to you making silly mistakes. It most certainly is bad luck mixed with, after a few games, personal error ( as explained above ). Missouri is OP. Those denying that have no clue how to use a powerful BB with good guns, great AA and radar. What you had was an anomaly at first and (as explained above) by continuing to play you made it worse. Yes, so show us how many times you have 10 defeats in a row. ( in all my battles maybe 2 times fyi ) -

Show us the actual result screens so we can have an idea on the battles. For all we know you and your division just sat afk to generate this loss streak... (tinfoil hat ftw) -
And CAs and DDs need CE, some BBs can forego that skill. CAs and DDs need IFHE or DE. BBs don't need it ( unless if you want to maximize your Mongueror griefing power I guess ) Almost all ships ( bar CVs) need Superintendent. Then again, nobody is forcing you to take these skills, you can always go for some crazy build and suffer a bit more
-
And DDs + CAs got an equally large buff by getting that skill for free. A lot of BBs also have to waste 2 points on a 'mandatory skill' called Expert Marksman. Every class has these more or less mandatory skills.
-
I still feel this is all very vague. A lof of words and nothing we can actually discuss.
-
Guess OP's sarcasm detector was off. @MrConway next time you should put in a .gif as well, and not a smiley.

Offcourse you can still sit in smoke and fire from it. That's what I wrote before (see quote below), it's a matter of skillfully positioning your ship. Even if you remove radar completely you'll need some skill (albeit a lot less). And, just throwing this in here as well: using radar also requires skill in positioning of your ship and timing the usage.
-
Or better, you put your DM captain in there? As my DM and Monti captain aren't specced in the same way anyways...
-
What's the most important skill for those ships? It is knowing how to position your smoke (and how to get to such a position undetected). If you position your smoke well (good exit strategy, good angling and moving of ship in relation to BB/incoming torps, position of enemy radar ships) you are extremely powerfull. The only way to get people in well positioned smoke screens is radar or a ship closing the distance. The latter being the dangerous option because that ship will have to expose itself to torpedoes from the ship in smoke and other ships. If you then only slightly reduce the smoke duration and remove radar these ships become to powerfull. Why? Because you remove a lot of the skillfactor needed to position yourself well. Everyone can sit in a smokescreen and dakka dakka if there is no threat to be detected in it. RN CL sitting back, not backing up his DDs up close is a bad RN CL anyways. So yes, they are very much affected if played well. IJN DDs on the other hand don't NEED smoke. Yugumo fe is way better with torpedo reload. They cna do great without smoke, RN CL can't.
-
You misunderstand: - some ships are balanced around sitting in smoke and shooting from smoke and thus shortening their smoke duration even by 5 seconds is nerfing the ships (UK CL and US DD to some degree, depending on your playstyle), - some ships are balanced around contesting smokes and sitting in smokes for cap contesting, shortening smoke removes their specialty (KM DD), And both those ships need a counter for when they are sitting in smoke, that counter is called radar. If you remove radar you'll need to rebalance the smoke, but for the beforementioned shipclasses this is not just a rebalance but a complete rework of the class. Because atm they NEED smoke to function. Other ships, such as most IJN DDs and RU DDs don't really need smoke. They only need it to gtfo if they misplayed. So for those ships you can easily drop smoke duration to 20 sec. For US/PA ones the ability to stealth torp, for IJN ones the longer ranges at which they can torp: making it possible to torp from outside radar range-safe option, or get closer in radar range for better effect-risky option. This risk vs reward option will be completely gone if you remove radar. For RU ones, I hope you don't want to tell me kebab and udaloi aren't stronger vs cruisers than say podvoisky? The German ones gain access to their trademark hydro and gain a lot of torp power as well.
-
Might be helpful to show rewards screen. To give an idea of the flags etc you are running

Was only part 1

Top 5 ships of 2017, top CA, top DD and top CV
-
lel, should read my posts before pushing Submit button. You are right ofc
-
Excellent, then we most certainly have to decrease dispersion on all BBs significantly. Because, atm, their hitratios are way above their real life stats...
-
Still doesn't solve the issue that some ships are build to use their smoke to fire (UK CL and, KM DD and hydro, US DD to some degree). Removing smoke/making it and escape tool means that they need to redo those ships. I agree for IJN DDs, they are torpedo boats and don't need that smoke for DMG. They only need it when they they messed up. You remove an anti DD tool, would be nice to add another tool to help them fight DDs. So that could be higher torpedo protection, or build in radio location...
-
Now this is getting somewhere. With the exception of US gunboat DDs and UK CL you might be able to remove smokes without taking away too much capacities. Removing radar will however, I think, move players away from certain CA. High tier US ones most notably: they have radar and AA going for them. Remove one and what's left? It'll force people away from them. And the last thing we need is less cruisers.

Let us see, I'm not the one who started making bold claims and giving opinions. Without backing any of them up. But as soon as you get called and aren't ready to back them up? If you would just see your claims as what they are: your opinion, and that does not equal a fact. ( nor am I saying that my opinion is a fact) At least now you say that you can't back up your claims with data (first bold sentence). So how you can make the second bold statement, well I don't know. And I don't care, it's your opinion. These are your first three posts, so now please point me to your arguments. This is your personal feeling, you're entitled to one. But if someone then says: I don't agree, well then that isn't an ad hominem reply now is it? Again, you're just giving an opinion. I guess we could go count posts and we'll find more posts on BBs complaining about HE, or people complaining about CVs. Again, your own opinion. So THREE questions for you: - Please, point me to arguments that you've used? I have yet to read them. - How will you balance DDs if radar gets removed? - Point me to the post where I made assumptions about your playstyle.
