    New Operation "Cherry Blossom"

    Edimburgh pretty much a support ship, can't shoot at the Airfield since her AP just doesn't do any damage, otherwise it's a good ship to have in as main dps. Charle Martel is nice as well to rush to the Marines but it's way too fragile to the wave of DDs and their HE spam. Chapayev is somewhat a strange addition, wouldn't have added it frankly speaking. Same goes for the two aboves but well, at least it's not a US only ops. Still bit sad that yet again the germans and japanese are left behinnd. It's already 2 big ops where they can't be chosen. US CA/CL Good but not enough, a game on this op with only them would be very difficult, the planes won't be a problem but you'll need IFHE for the Cleav to be a good dps and the Balti dispertion makes it hard on the DDs unless being at point blank range like at the start. They would wreck the IJN CAs that just keep showing broadside tho. CVs just help striking ships, they don't go after the airfield with their bomber wich could help, especially with the airfields position, they are too far back and way too protected by the natural environnement, most games are lost because ships can't get the angle on time. Also CVs fighters are pretty much useless. Too much torpedo ships during the last phase, it's a metal fish soup at that point. Sonar help as does the CV's bombers when they fly over them but with that amount it's pretty much either dodge or shoot, can't do both. Repairs are nice but it repair way too slowly for a mission that has such a short timing. Also a AI BB could be a nice support for shelling the airfield when they get spotted. So in succint, this op is a No noob allowed kind of mission, everyone need to know what they're doing with chiurgical precision or being extrêmely lucky with the rng.
  2. I was wondering while looking around about the Takao class cruisers, and after seeing the upcoming US CA split, will the IJN CA get their turn ? Because when you think about it, in the IJN CA/CL line, none have the possibilities to be an Anti-Air escort. Even fully specs on AA, they aren't worth it unless the defensive fire is active. Could there be a IJN CA split focused on this idea ? Because when you look about it, you can find some really interesting and existing ships, here's an exemple: The Takao class Maya, the 1944 vers, was pretty much a Anti-air Atago/Takao, one of her turrets was replaced by 2 turrets of 127mm that up their total count to 12 cannons of 127mm that counted as both anti-air and secondary. (Plus the 13 emplacements 3x25mm and 9 simple of 25mm type 96 auto as well) And she still had 4 turrets of 2x203mm as main battery as well as the torpedoes. And as for what either replace, follow or precede the Maya, you can find a lot of other class and altered classes to fit in. To be honest, i just took the Maya because it was a striking exemple of game viable CA wich has already two of her sisterships in it (If you count the ARP Takao), wich would really facilitate her implementation. I really want to hear about this idea and if that's something that could be implemented, anti-air based IJN CA/CL might really be a plus to this game. Pretty please ? x)

    Any plans for a IJN CA tech tree split ?

    Not really, i asked if there was plans for it already or ideas being either worked on or not. I heard about a "Battlecruiser" plan for the IJN but didn't really find anything official so i asked here to get an idea on what's being worked on CA wise for the IJN, since the US and URSS are getting worked on their CA. So even if they can't tell any details on it or says it will happens soon, only the "It's on the to do list" will suffice, and if not, well, proposing something worth thinking about isn't really meaningless.
  4. Ah the Atago, good guns, nice maneuvrability, good stealth, good torpedoes,... But armor ? Not that the armor is bad by itself, it seems like it's bugged, even at extreme angles or even if it scrape the paint of the ship without actually going in, it would still hit the citadel. The subject, the Atago, seems to not have been touched since it was out, nor buffed, not nerfed. Yet the armor need a review. Not about how strong it is, but how it react to a shell hitting it. Even if a shell graze the side armor (Not the front and not plunging fire) at a 89° angle, it will still hit the citadel, like if the shell made a 90° turn into the ship. I understand there's the caliber as well, but not on this situation. On this replay, look at the last 1 minute of the game, and the left side of the ship in slow motion. You will see the shell grazing the side armor of the ship and still touching the citadel. This happens a lot, like if the citadel was sticking out of the side of the ship.     ARP Missions (Q for Mods)

    HelloI don't know if i should ask that to the forum so, if this doesn't apply to this branch, then please write me where i should ask.It's about the ARP Missions, they are way too hard for players like me that only play time to time, it took me a month for the 1st stage and another one to get halfway trough the 2nd stage of the Kongo.I really like the Arpeggio Of Blue Steel anime and manga and when i heard about this "event" i tough i might play WoWs again and get it. But between the game and life stuff, you know wich is more important.I would have been able to get it if it wasn't for my terrible luck lately in this game, i'm rarely into a situation where i can fulfill the mission and so it has become impossible for me to get even to the 3rd stage.I even bough the Atago to be able to get it done in time (even tough i would still have bough it, i love this ship)So i was wondering, no, begging you, as a casual player, if it wouldn't be possible to put the ARP Kongo/Maya into the Premium shop for exemple for players like me who love this game concept but can't play that often.I know there's skins, i do use them, but it's not the same feeling that gives off the ingame one, especially that commander. And i'm even more worried that i wouldn't be able to see Yokosuka's port wich has been my favorite so far.I really sorry if this is just meaningless, but again, i love this manga and i'm really sad that i can't get anything, but i really want it and i shall try everything that i can do to be able to sail it.Thanks for your attention if you readed this to the end, and thanks in advance for your answer.Sincerely, HP_Belgium
