Karma in the state it's in now should in no way confer benefits, The current system is openly abused by the worst kind of players of the game to bash those who play better than them, those who sink them, those who disobey their idiotic chat suggestions, Recently I've been negged for such crimes as, when playing CV choosing to spot and attack the 2 enemy dd's over the cap where half my team is piling in that also happens to be closest to my carrier rather than the one on the other side of the map where gob£$!" has charged into alone. A battle he died early and then spent the next 18 mins calling on my own and the opposition team to report me for being a bad player, whilst I racked up 200k in damage, 3 ships sunk, a confederate award and carried the rest of my team to victory I've been negged in a dd for charging into and capping the cap point closest to my spawn (unchallenged) rather than obeying gobs$%"£ calls for all to lemming into the cap on the far side of the map cause capping isn't how you win and I've been negged as a cheat for demolishing a broadside cruiser with one BB salvo IME very few complement and too many whiney babies rush for the neg button

Essex is fine so long as it's running a strike loadout, It struggles to compete if running balanced as its damage output is too slow in this mode
-
Strike is the only way to play Essex (wasted alot of time on 2/1/1 before switching and saw a drastic change in fortunes when I did) and I prefer Midway as 1/1/3 tho am still only learning to play her Not being able to cross drop is one of the frustrations of the US CV line but 2 Sqn of US torpedo bombers would be significantly overpowered,

If we don;t get Sea Mosquito's flinging Highball instead of torpedo planes at the high tiers I'll be disappointed Also as has been said before RNCV's air group sizes are generally reported as the number of planes that can fit in the hanger, in the Pacific Campaign using deck parking the RNCV's carried air groups comparable in size the the USN CV's This could be simulated in game by making UK planes harder to shoot down, but having the carriers carry fewer reserves than their USN / IJN counterparts

Carriers, don't keep sending your planes...
Synth_FG replied to BabyAdmiral's topic in General Discussion
TBH if all the enemy ships are in one group with a few stragglers on the other side of the map then CV will often go for the stragglers as its impossible to attack a group of ships without loosing most of your planes, often doing no damage in the process taking on the isolated solo warriors whilst urging your team to break up the ball of enemy ships (dd torpedo spam is usually good for this) is often the best choice -

Presume both were running strike, and mr Chappy caught many of his kills on the return leg, Happens sometimes tho when playing CV's that you don't see / miss the CA / USBB because you spot him as you get into range (whereas he knows you are coming because your planes were already spotted by a team mate) or you are distracted setting up a fighter strafe / torpedo / bombing run -
They are alot less prevalent than they used to be and they offer something different, Also remember Jutland was fought in very poor visibility, as was Denmark straight, Surigao Strait and the Savo Island battles were fought at night so occasionally fighting in FA visibility adds some realism to the game

Gneisenau is not a sniper, her dispersion is horrible The fact she has guns that are hopelessly inaccurate beyond 10k, decent secondaries and torpedo's should tell you that she will do most of her damage up close and personal, However as you have found out you cannot simply tank in with her at the start, rather play her at the beginning of the battle like a large cruiser, use your speed and manoeuvrability along with the map to find a way of approaching the enemy without drawing all their fire onto you as always with bb's don't ever go alone, always travel with ca's and other bb's when the engagement starts look to delete cruisers within 12k of yourself whilst remaining bow on to the nearest enemy bb's , When the opportunity presents be ready to sprint in on an enemy bb and unload your torpedo's into him

Which ship is most demanding to play?
Synth_FG replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
Indeed, any DD in sight within 10km of you in a battleship is target priority #1 a few car size holes going all the way through the ship soon have him under the waves -
This one really annoyed me mostly because of the lack of help from the rest of my team

Warspite, The slow turret rotation means you always have to plan ahead and reamin very aware of the situation around you, much more so than with other BB's, pew pew pew cruisers or DD's -
Do you still get that award if you sink all of your own team ?
-
May have been in the opposite team on that one as I saw one of these come charging into the cap ahead of a couple of cruisers who turned and fled as soon as they saw my Bismark and friends coming the other way Grozovoi kept going through cap and got torn apart by a dd, myself and another cruiser
-
Another one

I hated Colorado, the ships only redeeming feature was the aa on the C hull, otherwise Inaccurate guns with no hitting power, armour not worth a damn from any angle other than bow on and god is she slow ,

St Pauls has Nelson as the Commander, Easy win

AFK players (result of "stuck in loading" bug)
Synth_FG replied to RenamedUser_92906789's topic in General Discussion
Has happened a few times lately, for me it also seems related to the chrome browser, as chrome will freeze up and wows will stick on the loading screen until killed and restarted -
Because being the lower tier in a 2 tier mm system can provide for a challenging and fun experience I want to occasionally be able to take on Bismark's andTirpitz's in my Warspite because it's a challenge, am I good enough to at least do more damage to them than they do to me
-
It's being raised as it's a hazard to navigation and preventing expansion of the port of Montevedao However unlike the others, nobody went down with her so she's not a grave, Royal Oak, Bismark, Warrior and the rest should remain undisturbed as memorials to those who served and died in them
-
Why would you want to, If you want to do something interesting with wrecks campaign to have the undiscovered Capital ship wrecks located and surveyed For the RN the list includes Barham Glorious Courageous Hermes Eagle Quite a few Cruiser wrecks are also un located

Had a great game in my Warspite against a Bismark with a very poor driver last night, was tearing chunks off him 1v1 It was only when a couple of his cruisers and his carrier came to his assistance (against my team who were all trying to hide behind the same island at the back of the map) that I was overwhelmed Still think she's by far the best t6 BB in the game
