First time out, lovin' her. The weird new smoke generation is very nice. Missing the 'Repair' function, but you can't have everything. Could this possibly replace Molly as my No.1? I'm thinkin' she could. Recommended purchase? Without a doubt. Buy her.** **I have no affiliation with WG

Whilst I can empathize with everything you have said, I refuse to be bullied into submission. I still play cruisers for the most part, especially since the RN rolled out. My favourite boat of all is the 'Molly'. And yes, I rarely survive, Yes, I rarely make more than one kill per match, but I persevere. Could be I am a bit of a masochist, I prefer to think I am just stubborn dedicated. I also like to play the DD, with equally bad results, but like the cruisers they are a challenge. To me that is the best part of any 'game'. How challenging it is. You can keep your BBs. On the VERY rare occasions that I play them I am instantly reminded in the first couple of seconds why I let them gather dust in port for most the time. Like watching paint dry. So SLOOOOOW, so painfully SLOW. So, I shall continue to play the cruiser.

why have we got 3 crap commanders with new patch?
The_Tyke replied to beercrazy's topic in General Discussion
I think they were put in as a sort of place-marker, after the Halloween captains got decommissioned. -
HMS DREADNOUGHT Need I say more? A true icon and landmark in naval history. And she would probably be T2 as well

Ranked battles: Wargaming this is how you will lose me and others as a player&customer

There is a single word here that throws this whole argument down the drain. The word 'TEAM' A team, by definition is; "a group of players forming one side in a competitive game or sport" It is usual for such groups of people to work, over a period of time, to hone their skills and 'become one'. To conjoin, to be part of the whole. Working as one, thinking as one, toward the common goal. Now we come to online gaming. Were it a cookery recipe it might read something like: Take a bunch of strangers of varying skill levels (who frequently do not even speak a common language), throw them into a melting pot, turn up the heat and see what comes out the other end. Most likely it will produce an unpalatable mess. The result is what we see every time we join battle. Occasionally you will find two or three ingredients that work fantastically well together, like sage and onion for example. But for the most part this is highly improbable. So the best thing anyone can do is to enter each battle expecting nothing. Do your bit, attempt to get a little communication going, then hope for the best. -
How about being grateful for the new system, which is far more generous than anything we had before. Just cannot please some people

The OP would do well to keep in mind that for every game he loses other players win. Law of averages says that the cradle will swing the other way eventually. But you don't find people coming to the forums to complain about winning.

I am by no means even a 'good' player, barely scraping in at the 'ok' level. I waited patiently for the Brit line to arrive, and since it did I have played very little else. Seriously steep learning curve, but I persevered. Hated that god-awful Emerald, but everything above it up to Edinburgh has been fantastic. Leander is still (IMO) the best of the bunch. Sure, I rarely survive the battle. Sure, I am still not a 'good' player. But I am having a blast. If I can do it anyone can. So to the OP I would merely say, if they don't suit you don't wear them.

I have never experienced this myself in over 2000 games
-
Bigger at low tiers, yes. This would give the two teams time to disperse a little before contact is made.
-
The whole notion of scenarios appeals to me. Proper missions, and a goal that the whole team must strive towards unlike in Random where everyone is looking out for himself and his 'score' Excellent. So why will I not be dipping my toes into this particular pool? WHY? . . why the 'Toy-Town ships? Yes, Halloween, I get that. And its not something I enjoy, and certainly do not celebrate But cartoon ships? C'mon WG, if you can do it for a kiddie one night thing you can do it all the time. It is bad enough I have to have the things in my port for another week.

I always go for 'Flags and camouflage' and probably once in every three times I pick up 500 free xp. Not sure what that has to do with flags, or camo, but there ya go

Got torped by ally intentionally and no pink for him?

Get rid of the offenders name from the screenie if I were you. Naming and shaming is kinda frowned on -
I liked all the RN line so far except that awful thing. Emerald is the only boat I sold as soon as possible when I had the xp for Leander. Leander and Fiji make up for all the bad stuff Emerald brought to the table
-
None taken, I was just injecting a little humour with my remark
-
Leander is good, admittedly, but Fiji is a world better. That's as far as I have gone to date, but that Fiji takes your breath away sometimes.
-
I do, but . . . I'm weird
-
Little itch here that I need scratching. Battle ends, and you have consumables you have not needed to use. Why then are they renewed back in port? You pay only for the ammo you use, why not the same for them? Itch scratched, thanks for listening
-
That's exactly what I meant, except I was not thinking WoT, just what makes logical sense
-
Is not the fact that some of us simply enjoy playing them a good enough role? I like a challenge, they provide that in spades. Apart from Emerald there is not one boat among them I have not enjoyed. And at the end of the day is that not why people create computer games? For the masses to enjoy?
-
^^ THIS ^^

Relax, it gets better now. Still no brawlers; but that Emerald is (IMO) the worst boat in the line. I am currently at the Fiji. Lovin' it, and Leander too
-
Well, I stand by this previous comment. This boat and I cannot agree with each other, while I seem to do fine (better) with the regular line. So unless I am feeling 'in the mood' for her she will stay moored in port, and her 14pt Captain can get a transfer to the Fiji, which I am a hairs breadth from attaining. A bit of a shame really, because there is no doubt the Belfast is a fantastic boat, just not the one for me.
-
I really am not interested in the various ways the system might be 'worked', just the gold. I have a small fortune sitting in WoT with no intention of ever returning to that poisonous community
-
OP mirroring my own thoughts. Take a +1 sir As for the salty ones with the abuse, ignore them. I see it often, but have never had it directed at me personally. Just children sitting in their bedrooms, protected by the anonymity of the interwebz. Pound to a penny they would not say anything like that to you face to face. Just an unfortuante by-product you will find in any MMO game.
