I suppose those old curmudgeons among us are at least spared looking at the stupid things because they are in a port of their own As for the money Anime generates for WG, those older players have more spare cash than youngsters. I have spent well in excess of £800 on this game in less than 6 months. That's not bragging, just a plain fact. Would I spend more for more/less Anime? Certainly not. I buy what I want when I see it. Although I would never buy an Anime ship even if it was the most OP vessel in the game.

I am old. I am grumpy. I have no love of Anime. If WG want to use cartoons why not use things that are actually fun. May I nominate: The Simpsons (Homer in charge of a BB is just too scary to think about) Daffy Duck (his ability to 'lose the plot' is legend) South Park (with a little voice saying "They killed Kenny" when you sink) Donald Duck (see Daffy) and Goofy (huh-yuck-yuck-yuck) I am sure the forumites could suggest many more. Perhaps a separate thread?

After 2785 battles I think I can say, hand on heart, that whilst I HAVE witnessed TKing, I have NOT witnessed a single deliberate example. Stowm in a teacup, I think

Ramming, for me, is a decision made 'on the spot' and as a last resort. The very few times I have used the tactic (and yes, it IS a tactic) I have had few if any options. Usually the scene is: I have strayed too far from the main force (not checking the minimap as often as I should/tunnel vision) , I am by myself I am surrounded/outgunned I have low health I find myself getting into one of those 'oh so realistic' circling gunfights with a superior boat. Basically I am in a situation where I am going to get deleted, like it or not The overpowering opponent boat is in a position where if I can just stay alive for another ten seconds I can take him with me. It is a legitimate move, it is NOT a cheat or WG would not include it in the game. I have never seen anyone use it as a planned move. ie; they have said from the start that is what they intend to do.

I have to say I rarely see them myself. Is this a high tier problem? I stay low/mid tier, I see plenty that take an eternity to connect, but in an average day of playing might see just a single afk'er

So I play a battle and I don`t get anything

Guessing the server reset/restarted. -
Who wants to play a bright pink warship? Stupid idea. And I am no fan of Anime, either. Never used one yet, and never will

Okie, please accept this in the manner it is given. No offence is intended. The constant here is your good self. Have you considered that the fault could lie with you, and not the rest of the team? Nobody can be that unlucky to get the quoted post removed

Perth has firmly embedded herself at the top of my list. A terrific little boat. So good in fact that my Belfast and Molly have lain untouched and unloved for some considerable time.

I am far from the best player around, and I found the RN was a very steep learning curve. However, stick with them, they do get better. Remember you are a second line boat. Don't be a hero, stay back with the BB and offer what help you can. Danae is one of the better boats in the line. Then it goes a bit sour with the Emerald, get past that one as fast as you can. Salvation appears in the form of Leander. Leander really rocks, for its tier. Things continue to improve with the Fiji. I cannot say past Edinburgh. I stopped there. Edinburgh seems to cost a Kings ransom every time it takes to the water, regardless of how well you do. I rarely make a profit with it, and I run premium. But even once you reach the better boats always keep in mind you are not a heavyweight brawler. This applies to the Belfast and Perth as well.

A mod can do it for you Congrats on the great result

Could be that WG ran headlong into some sort of copyright issues?

I don't see that tab. Is that because I did not apply to join a clan?

Are you seeing the Yokosuka port? Those ARP boats (and I think you are referring to them) are only to be found in that port

4 a week?? You're blessed I have only had one so far, and I play a lot. Sometimes I do get rewards from supposedly standard containers which would be more suited to the supers. But still just the one biggie so far.

I tend to get excited about anything Brit, and would buy this on the strength of that alone. Since the release of the RN line I have played nothing else except my Molly, who I just cannot ignore and leave in port. But as a non BB player (I find them sickeningly boring, sorry) it would be a bit like my Warspite. A display boat in my port with only VERY rare excursions onto the wider oceans

I use the fighter mostly because the ships AA is so poor. I agree, it is very squishy, but I prefer it to the Belfast.

To the OP. When I first started playing WoW I was of the same opinion. Totally OP Arty, by another name. But I stuck at it, and as has been reflected in previous posts I soon changed my opinion. You get a bad CV player and he can single-handedly throw the battle, but you get a really good one, and they are extremely rare beasts let me tell you, then they can make a huge difference to how well your team does. I actually gave a CV a +1 this week (first time I ever have to a CV), forget the guys nickname or I would toss it out. Yes he was on the enemy team, yes he sank my Perth, but there was no denying this fella was EVERYWHERE, right to the end. I watched the game in 'spectator' mainy just to see how much havoc he would wreak. Managed 7 kills too. I would never play one, but I have at least come to appreciate they are as far removed from the 'clickers' in WoT as it is possible to get.

Found this while poking around Perth in port. A koala mascot I assume. Strange colour for it though

Whilst I can see your point, and it is valid, you cannot really criticise a company for simply fulfilling the objective of every business out there. Profit. Do you begrudge your local supermarket making a profit? Bus company? Etc etc? I bought both the ships, and have several other premiums as well. Not because it is pay-to-win, (In fact one of the premiums *cough . . . Blys . . .*cough* has serious issues with me, it refuses to perform. Other players do EXTREMELY well with it) but because I desire them. It never crosses my mind when I press the 'purchase' button that WG are trying to screw me. After all, it is not like they actually have to 'make' each product using physical resources, we pay for a collection of pixels.

It uses the British voice commands though. Could that be a sign of a possible change, or just laziness?
