Shiratsuyu over performs... a nerf was inevitable. -
Just FYI, Khabarovsk isn't getting changed because of what anyone here says. WG is going to do their thing based on their data... or magic tea leaves. What ever they use.

Is it so hard to make a normal Ranked for once?

In two games in the Farragut, dropped smoke for my team mates 3 times: they drove through or around it every time. Just like in Randoms or PvE. Offensive smoke rarely works, defensive smoke on the other hand works way more often.

What does it reflect?

In mid tier Japanese Destroyers, if you want to play you have to be willing to pay... and that mean getting in close. You don't want to get spotted, but that is the risk if you want to be the most effective. Torpedoes launched from 10 Km will get a hit here or there, and you will have some good games, but launching from 6 Km, away from good positioning, will give better results.
-
This has always been a problem, at least since I started playing. Learning not to die in a DD, while at the same time challenging the CAP or screening a flank is a learning process. DDs have the lowest overall survival rate of any class, with good reason.
-
If it is desired that BBs hit DD at 15Km and cause massive damage, so be it. That would be game balancing and have nothing to do with DDs being 'overconfident'. I keep thinking there is a language issue or a misunderstanding of the actual topic.
-
Sub_Octavian - "But the fact won't change: learn to play more aggressively and risky, and you will be scoring great results with IJN DDs." Sub_Octavian - "DDs that are hit by BB AP shells are just overconfident"
-
I am curious, why do you consider DDs to be your best ship type? Your win rate overall is better in CV, BBs, and Cruisers?
-
CL/CA survivability is no worse overall than DDs.

When can we expect equal DD matchamaking?

I would have thought if the team with the extra DD had a significant advantage it would show up in overall DD winrate. That doesn't seem to be the case. balance domination and dd numbers
Culiacan_Mexico replied to Fluxiepower's topic in General Discussion
Sonic_157 Posted 02 December 2016 - 07:31 PM Hey guys. Several days ago, the Reddit DEV Q&A, Round 7 with WG/s Sub_Octavian began. Some questions were answered by Vessery and BadPreacher. Not many questions have been answered yet but there are some pieces of information here and there. I have collected them below and will post again if anything new comes up. ---------------------------------------------------- Hello, do you have any data on whether or not teams with more DDs per side are more likely to win in domination mode games? Similarly, does the number of RU/USN DDs influence said win rate? Hello! At this moment we haven’t got actual date of this case, however we analyzed that effect (different nations, +1/+2 DD/CV/BB per side) in the early versions, where was battles 13 to 15 battleships and we didn’t see any influence on winrate. In 0.5.8 permississible difference of destroyers between the teams was limited by 1 and we lost interest for this case. About second question: matchmaker swaps ships to achieve closest nation-class balance possible. Probably after entering more branches we will repeat that research. -
Limiting number of BBs in a game to three max per team.
Culiacan_Mexico replied to VigilanteMerc's topic in General Discussion
WG has added a number of "anti-DD" features to the game in an attempt to limit them, so a significant long term increase in CA/CL population could make DD life... less than fun. But. that would give WG a change to examine so of those anti-DD features and tune them. -

Yes, they are easy to play... poorly. Stay at max range in your German BB. live and get 20K damage a game... usually. -
It was your choice to fire that torpedo. It is your responsibility for what happens afterward. You are accountable for your actions.

Yes.
