There are lots of people that want to play BBs, this would increase wait time dramatically, so probably not a good choice by a company trying to profit.
-
I vote +1/-1. Easier for WG to balance. As for diversity, variety, whatever... I play solo randoms, I get plenty of that in the players.
-
I think I understand. Having DDs gun-boating at near max firing range with the ability to go stealth after a 10 second delay... sounds like a significant buff.
-
Anything less than 10 seconds would severely handicap BBs and some cruisers, because of their turret rotation, in targeting DDs. Caution would be advised.
-
This might be a fairly significant buff to some DDs.

A potential solution to camping Battleships

DDs forgiving? That is an interesting view. -
I don't know that it is a buff to the class, but I am sure it would be a major buff to many DD players.
-
I would argue that human psychology indicates this approach, one WG has tried for years, will fail. Again. The passive/camping game style is rewarded too well to be changed by minor incentives for different behavior.
-
DDs should be capped... no more than two per side.

My solution... go back and undue the original sin. Spotting. -

I think you are correct. -
When even the CC's know you are ignoramuses, you know you're headed for the trash bin

I believe this to be true. -
On the map fault line, when should I contest the B cap early in a DD? Which types of DDs does this work for and which doesn't it... and why? When the opposing team responds... what are my options based on their response? Lesson 87: On the Map Trap, over two years ago, +4 DDs on each side, I head south to contest the A cap... which caused a number of my team mates to go livid in chat... because someone called a B/C plan. Only one member of my team actually understood what was going on... a DD doesn't have to go into a cap and either take it or die. As a DD you can play the harassment game, tie up opposing forces, and deny a cap to the opposing team... delay them, which is what I did for +10 minutes while the rest of my team sweep through the C and B cap. Just recently I had a tier VIII Roma player screaming in chat at me to give him intelligence data, so he could sit at max range and shoot: I was in a tier VI Fushon facing tier VIII: Benson with RL, New Orleans, and a Chapayev. His lack of experience in DDs, or just plan ignorance, left him with no understanding of why what he was demanding was beyond stupid. A DD sitting at the A1 line is easy to judge as playing poorly (You don't have to be a DD player to know that). While on the map Hot Spot, why I choose to enter the C cap from a certain direction; and how I move and position inside that cap with regards to the enemy teams composition... that is much harder to critic. Team members who call out early that they are moving up to support 'A' cap... they are golden (assuming they actually do it). This will influence strongly what actions I take, but a nebulous B/C stretchy can easily mean I head to the cap to contest and they sit in back spamming "I need intelligence data". My own counsel I will keep in random games. -Kermit-

For me, I had to count on Hatsuharu's stealth advantage, plus A Hull guns. It wan't a bad ship... just sort of ok.

Co-op safe AFK players...a easy way to make points
Culiacan_Mexico replied to OOAndreasOO's topic in General Discussion
If I lose to bots... it is because I lose to bots. I am more than happy when my team is filled with players who are lower skilled. -
Hatsu wasn't so bad.

AFK players in co-op means less completion for killing bots. This is a good thing... yes? -
It is the weak part of your game.

“Don’t be too proud of this technological terror WG has constructed. The ability to damage battleships is insignificant next to the power to control caps and eliminating destroyers. I find your lack of faith in traditional destroyers disturbing" -Darth somebody -
Are some players using CV's to rig ranked?
Culiacan_Mexico replied to TheFierceRabbit's topic in General Discussion
To be fair, some CV players don't have to go out of their way to be useless. I am just saying. -

How can you tell the difference between a CV player trying to throw the game and the average bad CV player? -
Lexington Aircraft Carrier 0.9% 42.8% I had one of these today in ranked... a complete and total @#$%.
