DD play at T6 and above is now broken ...
Culiacan_Mexico replied to Alzy's topic in General Discussion
Yes, a lasting impression, but not an extreme one. The US light cruiser as shown by CC seem to fill a niche section of game play well, but... While German BBs flooded the game and are in large part still there, they offered, to many players, something in the way of 'forgiving defense', this is not going to happen with the US CLs. They seem to be unforgiving in nature, so while there will be a lot of them initially during the grind, I think the will fade to a fairly modest levels. -
Seriously? In 7 of 10 case my Loyang in ranked could not shoot the ship spotted with its Hydro.

DD live too long and tank too much damage... they need nerfs! -
Make Radar & Hydro not working behind islands
Culiacan_Mexico replied to Fediuld's topic in General Discussion
Look at the answer above. They actually said that. Just to addon, while I am not a fan of the through Island ability, any change in this would be fairly dramatic game play wise. -
Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?
Culiacan_Mexico replied to StringWitch's topic in General Discussion
In my opinion, Operation are repetitive and end up being boring. Co-op on the other hand varies wildly based on team members and ship composition. Operations require specific ship tiers, while in coop, on a 100% 1st win bonus day, I will try out 20 different ships... for fun. Take a German BB up close and personal just to have a secondary duel, use Takao as a very large destroyer and torpedo as many bots as possible. -

You might be surprised. Some players do not play that well, isn't it better they play in coop instead of random? -

No bragging is fine. Low tier players with bad PvP stats I can understand, as I had a 43% WR after +700 games. Higher tier players with thousands of games kind of puzzles me though... I wonder if the even know they are playing poorly. -

Thank you. If that is true, then I agree, an improvement in bot number or skill might not be a good idea. -

A problem I find in coop is that if you have one or two good DD players on your team, they can very often kill virtually everything... leaving just scrapes for the BB. With the Kiev in coop, I average 85,375 damage and 2.3 kills per game. If there is another DD player of equal skill or higher on the team, there just isn't that much left for the other team members on average; and with BBs slow acceleration and speed.... it can be problematic for them. -
"I contested DDs without radar, rather effectively; and it was actually fun and exciting game play." With regards to this... the answer is no. There are a lot of risk adverse players in this game; and let us be honest hunting DDs is risky business with or without hydro. They are not interested in this, they prefer a safer way to play the game. Radar fits their needs.

I voted something else. I would try 8-10 first. -
The old religion was that if a BB had heals left at the end of the game he didn't support his team by tanking has been replaced with a new meta. The current meta rewards BBs and some cruisers for stay at range and damage farming; and both Flamu and Notser had videos on this subject, while doing exactly that. I am not saying that in clan wars it won't happen, it probably will; or that a three man division going into random can not get it done, but that in a game with 11 other unknown players in a BB heavy meta that rewards BB passivity... I am skeptical it will be a common. But I could be wrong!

I was working through the Farragut at the time when Bismarcks (German BBs) flooded the match making; and there were lots of players that wanted to brawl in cap. Good times!

The up close and personal tangle between DD and cruiser was my type of game play. Setting at range and throwing shells... isn't; and from what the CC have shown, the new US CL are the park behind island types of ships.

I contested DDs without radar, rather effectively; and it was actually fun and exciting game play. In the past. That is why hydro was introduced.

What DDs are these?

New EULA is incredibly unethical.
Culiacan_Mexico replied to M0bius_One's topic in General Discussion
In the US it would be questionable, as once things get into court lots can happen. "The mother — who appears to be either a lawyer, a friend or family member of one, or a very dedicated researcher — lays out an impressive case for why the suit against her son should be thrown out. Her argument boils down to the fact that her son did not develop the cheats, nor did he distribute them. Instead, he simply downloaded them from a popular cheating website and streamed himself using the cheats. Not only that, but the mother makes a convincing argument that it would be difficult for Epic to prove in court that her underage son was bound by its end user licensing agreement (EULA) given that Fortnite is a free-to-play game and its EULA did not contain an option for underage users to obtain parental consent, which she says she never gave. It would also be difficult for Epic to prove that the act of cheating harmed its ability to make a profit considering the game’s revenue stream is restricted to microtransaction purchases of cosmetic in-game items." https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/27/16707562/epic-games-fortnite-cheating-lawsuit-debate-14-year-old-kid -

A cruiser scouting? -
In random? I guess my cynicism is too strong.

WG - there is no statistical data that show radar impacts the outcome of games.

New campaign missions are absolutely ridiculous
Culiacan_Mexico replied to FishDogFoodShack's topic in General Discussion
Why? WG expressed the same attitude with the ARP Nachi mission for 'reasons'. -
I didn't enjoy the old ship... of course at the time as was a 43% player. That might have something to do with it.
-
WG... and aiming? I feel you have too much faith in them.

The Fury Taco. That wasn't fun.
