Radar - And no NOT another whine Topic

It seems highly likely that there will be a permanent increase in radar cruisers played and perhaps cruiser overall, but how much... the is hard to project. -

I am not convinced that current cruiser spike is a permanent one, because other than German BBs, new lines cause an increases in that ship type played, but it doesn't last. Time will tell. -
An EASY way to fix radar problems

Of course there are counters to smoke: hydro, aggressive DD counter play, torpedoes, etc. There are counters to radar cruisers: aggressive BB counter play... -

If you are saying at tier 10... ok. but that didn't seem to be the case at tier 8. Are you not in fact pointing out the flaws of tier 10 game play? -

Wouldn't that seem to indicate that the ships that lived the longest would then have the most influence? That of course is usually not the case. -

Radar, like smoke, promote passivity; and if one considers passivity a problem, then radar is part of that problem. -

The static play style is what a majority of the player base are comfortable with, regardless of rewards or stats. -
I don't have Kidd, but... I believe last ranked season Loyang had the lowest average damage of any ship, yet I am not sure it isn't OP in ranked. What Loyang does it does well.

So you must not enjoy this game. -
I am not really talking about individual performance but the ship overall. Stats seem to indicate that Gneisenau is unable to utilize its offensive capabilities effectively, at least as compared to its peers. Average Frags Average damage Kills to deaths Nagato 0.75 48 145 1.47 King George 0.92 59 326 1.81 Lyon 1.03 57 638 2.12 Gneisenau 0.79 46 355 1.37 Hood 0.83 49 841 1.58 Scharnhorst 0.91 50 545 1.6 Ashitaka 0.79 48 953 1.43 Nelson 1 63 003 1.89 Duke of York 0.85 53 724 1.53 Colorado 0.74 45 609 1.46 Gneisenau Tied for third worst Average Frags Second worst damage Worst kill to death.

At a certain point, the amount of radar will cause a cascading effect that will alter over all game balance. Are we there yet, unknown but WG should be at least monitoring it. The idiom the straw that broke the camel's back, alluding to the proverb "it is the last straw that breaks the camel's back", describes the seemingly minor or routine action which causes an unpredictably large and sudden reaction, because of the cumulative effect of small actions. -
My opinion. I think Bismarck and Gneisenau are two of the saddest ships in World of Warships. I have played around with them in Co-Op and found that at long range, and even medium range neither ships really shines, but when you get up close and personal... they are truly in their element. Deadly. But that is not the current meta ...BBs fighting at close range... instead it is being cautious and long range snipping. Both ships sit in the bar at night next to Fubuki , drinking their beer, and dream of what could be. Of course I could be wrong.

World of "Every island has an HE spammer behind it."
Culiacan_Mexico replied to AngreyNoob's topic in General Discussion
This is a game balancing issue; and it seems that it is the game play WG wants. I am not sure they are wrong going this direction, because it seems this type of game play fits well with the majority of the player population. -
How much Coal & Steel did you get in your Arsenal with new patch v0.7.6 ?

With a coupon, 30 to 40 days? -
The day Tirpitz was sold.

24400 Coal. Thank you WG, but my true feelings are... whatever. I don't believe I am the target audience for this, as the rewards seem so marginal, that I don't see it effecting my game play in anyway. ...but like I said it was unexpected and free so thank you. -
Anyone doubting divisions can dominate games is delusional.

That wasn't the stated reason for introducing radar. -
An EASY way to fix radar problems

Yes it is. By WG design as they have stated. A design I disagree with. -
It needs Harm... like the Russian BBs will get.

What?! -
Bots. They are scripted; so if you play the operation a few times you will be able to prediction, when, where and how they appear on the map, plus the best tactics on how to counter them.

That is so true and sad at the same time.

Fushun isn't a bad ship, but if you get a string of games against tier 8 DDs it can get kind of bleak. Expert Marksman seem kind of mandatory for me. Deep water torpedoes have their advantages, but the do mean that quick kills during cap contesting are a lot harder and rarer, so you need to adjust. Gun power is good, but you kind of have to isolate your opponent from any friends they have, unless in smoke. As for PA smoke, I generally don't spend lots of time in it shooting, accept on rare occasion, but instead us it to cover movement/deployment.
