patch. 6.0 is a massive battleship buff, nerf to the rest.
Culiacan_Mexico replied to gizaman's topic in General Discussion
These are buffs to BBs, but it looks like they me be offset by nurfs to BB consumables in round two of public test. Hard to say what the overall effect will be. -

Isn't this the same argument that is being used with regards to Battleships players? -
Limit captain skills at low tiers
Culiacan_Mexico replied to T3ddyBear's topic in General Discussion
After I failed my way up to tier 7 with my amazing 43% win rate, I went back and played some of my t2-t5 again (I sucked at them the first time); and I tried to learn the basics that I hadn't understood or in some cases know about. I would recommend it. -

In theory, anyone who has played enough to have an 18pt... should have learned to play. That advantage far out ways an 18pt captain. -

Maybe, but the Fujin always did better than the Minekaze. Why wasn't the Fujin burdened with the higher % of NooB players? Either something in the players who purchased these premiums or the play style of the Tirpitz is....? -

It was an interesting discussion, with lots of arguments one way or another. All speculation of course, as WG keeps lots of the rational for change hidden. I personally wondered if the main agent for change was simple the transition for Isokaze/Mineakze to the mid-term Japanese DDs was a problem. Tier V DDs were very good and if each tier up from their and they got better... tier 10 would have been insane. Relevancy? Will the Bismarck be 'nerfed' because it's overall win rate is too high or in the hands of really good players it is too strong or... does it just not fit in to WGs plans? Babykin Posted 01 December 2016 - 07:27 AM ome interesting information from a stream with the developer _Vlegris Source: http://forum.worldof...има-разработчи/ 1. The Hydroacoustic Search of Bismark is overpowered in ranked battles, but not an issue in random battles. They plan to softly nerf this feature in a distant future, possible prior to the start of the next season of ranked battles. -

??? Puzzlement on my part since I wasn't replying to something you wrote,but... There was one or more threads in this forum discussing why the Minekaze was being 'nerfed'. Lots of opinions, but many seemed to believe it wasn't Minekaze's overall performance, but how skilled players used this ship. You weren't part of that discussion? You disagree with those assumptions? -

Minekaze was 'nerfed', and while she only had a rather modest 52% win rate it was claimed that the real issue was that very good players could do too well in her. True, the top 10 players of all time in the Minekaze (more than 100 games) have win rate between 74.5%-79.5%... impressive. Bismarck has a slightly higher overall win rate, plus the top 10 players have win rate between 77.5%-91%. Minekaze top 50 win rate 79%-69%Bismarch top 50 win rate 91%-71% In the past, players in the Minekaze would be matched against very new (inexperienced) players in their Tier 3 ships, and yet the win rate for these players does not met the level of Bismarck player supposedly match against experienced players. -

Seriously? Ok, if that is your 'goal'... don't allow BBs to use this skill. -

Radio Silent is a horrible idea. It is the exact opposite of the type of game mechanics that should be added to the game. Although you can not force people to play as a team, the game design of WoWs should promote and reward team play. DDs scouting/spotting for the team is something that should be done, as it can improve the overall odds of winning the match. Changes to the game that discourages team play should not be added to the game. -

This isn't counter play, but DD choose your poison.

Interesting, as I have only tried it in a Japanese DD so far. I need to try it in a Cruiser. -
Voted, but I believe "Radio Positioning Finding" is in the game regardless of any feedback.

Radio Position Finding Me in a Hatsuharu Neighbors (Domination). I was detected from the very start of the game; and someone was able to track my movement for about the first 5 minutes of the game. What they did with that information I can't say. Late game, I was able to determine it was a Colorado who had this skill, because another DD on my team was chasing this BB and about 8-9Km from him. I moved to intercept the Colorado, but when I go closer than the other DD, I got an indication of "Radio Position Finding" and the BB turned away. Me in a Hatsuharu on Neighbors (Standard). It was an Akizuki that had Radio Position Finding this time. Late game I was defending the cap with support, while he was attacking our Cap with support. In the first case the BB was able not just to determine the general direction I was at, but also my distance. I was put in a situation where I had to chase a BB and try to use torpedoes. Not good at all. In the second case, Akizuki knew in the general direction I was at (he launched torpedoes in that direction), but since I kept moving... this wasn't an effective tactic on his part. -

But you didn't build it... WG did. In theory Sub Octavian might have better insight into the reason it is being introduced. After all, it is a 4 point skill, not something the average player will take on a whim. -
