I can not see them walking this skill back any further (it use to give the exact location). If the completely removed it, then those that approval this skill going this far might have to take responsibility. Easier to put it in the game and then blame the player base. As for the test server, a captain skill respect is coming and the test server is the best place to try different builds. --------------------------- Takru -Posted 28 December 2016 - 08:49 PM Sub_Octavian - "...Yes, we have kept "Radio Positioning", while listening to ST feedback AND your "theoretical" concerns. This is why the skill is now 4 points and it shows a sector, not exact location.." -------------------------

Thank you. Now I have an idea of what to test.

I have started play Takao in PVE. Silver is either small positive or negative. Not too bad.

Any chance of a nerf on this bismarck secondaries?
Culiacan_Mexico replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in Archive
I don't think anything will be done about secondaries before the next ranked, but I suspect WG will be keeping a close eye on them. A future nerf might be something they do if results don't line up with their expectations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Babykim #4626Posted 01 December 2016 - 07:27 AM Source: http://forum.worldof...има-разработчи/ 1. The Hydroacoustic Search of Bismark is overpowered in ranked battles, but not an issue in random battles. They plan to softly nerf this feature in a distant future, possible prior to the start of the next season of ranked battles. -
patch. 6.0 is a massive battleship buff, nerf to the rest.

Seriously? This is your argument? The actual questions start off does it effect all types of ships equally... and the answer is no. -

So far, Six SC. Nothing really notable in any of them. I will give it a year before I decide. -

Horrible idea. Team play involves DDs scouting. New players would turn off their 'comms' by default and never learn this skill. -

Russain DDs can pen CL reliability if the situation is good, but US DDs need to be close. Close enough that torpedoes come into play, while Japanese DDs at that tier have a low rate of fire. I pen CL and CA at mid tier with both Japanese and US DDs, but it is usually in response to an unexpected situation or a last resort. -

Over the last two weeks. Bayern with its 43,900 hitpoints (average damage 45,432) is the most played Battleships at teir 6. Hatsuharu (teir 6) has averaged 26,260damage. Less than 60% of the hitpoints of a Bayern. I am not sure WG wants DDs to counter BBs anymore. -

I have significant amount of low to mid-tier Japanese and American destroyers +3,500 games, and for me I never found fire to be an effect primary weapon against BBs, CA, or DD. True, inexperienced captain will often miss use their repair party/heal party, and perhaps have chosen the wrong skills for their captains, but overall fire isn't something I count on for damage or to influence a game. Because of that, I don't take the DE skill on these DDs. Russian DDs are different however. -
Hatsuharu. It isn't a really good ship, but it is ok.

I think they will, but it looks like they are going to nerf Damage control and repair (premium). Changes to Repair/damage control might offset and effect fire prevention. Unsure at this point. -

At what distance do you think a Farragut can reliably pen a tier 7 or 8 BB? -

1. Japanese DDs (low to mid tier) aren't great as fire starters (low rate of fire and shortish range), if a player is trying this... it isn't the best approach. Fair enough? 2. I will at time throw HE at a BB... mostly to test their metal. The captains not the ships, as some BB players will flee. 3. What is the intended role of an US DD? 4. I did ok in the Farragut (IMO); and generally played it like a bully. Be it BB,CA or DD... get out of my CAP. Don't dare to smoke up when I am close because I am going in after them. (Belfast excluded of course). Harassing BBs was part of the job. Often the BBs would primary me and leave the BBs or CAs alone. -

Too do it effectively... lots. You have to coordinate fire with flooding; and it works wonders if you do it as part of a combined attack (with CAs and BBs) -

Can anyone explain the WG's logic behind the design of weekly missions?

If this is what they were trying to achieve, then mission accomplished with me. I don't even look at them any more. -

My background is engineering. Which generally goes like this... This is what we have.... this is the change we are making... this why we are making the change... this is the expect results. Test. WG (Sub_Octavian) We are fine with the fire mechanic... we are making changes to the fire mechanic... we wont say why... we won't say what to test for or to expect. RPF is something WG is looking at because...? My first experience with public test. Interesting. -
Dispersion (=luck factor) = OK: but it should affect ALL ships

Every time WG re-balances... CV face the "luck-factor", usually bad luck. -

IMO I can see smoke hurting US DD somewhat (offensive), but Japanese DDs are less dependent (defensive).
